First run at 6.2.6. I only had one champ remaining when I got to the champion but thought I’ll give it a go see how far I can take him. I literally took 2000 health off him out of 322,000 🤣 how do I figure out when he’s going to go unstoppable? I knew he was at the beginning so I dexed until it was gone but then literally in my first combo he went unstoppable again?! Not spending any units on revives this time but not sure of my game plan for next time!

On his health bar you will see his persistent charges (little blue circle). He goes unstoppable when he has two or more. Before he goes unstoppable a bright yellow/orange "primal fury" will appear on the screen. That's your warning to get ready, if there is at least one charge when it pops up.
You will remove a persistent charge every 20 hits of your combo, or if you can nullify or stagger the buffs. Rintrah would likely be your best champ for him since he will keep the buffs from popping up altogether.

Who did you use for Champion? Heavy nullify, stagger, fate seal, neutralize champs. Sym Supreme was the goat when the content was first released. There are tons of YouTube tutorials on this fight, so check those out even if they are old.

I only had CMM left so used her. Wasn’t expecting to solo in the slightest but didn’t even get chance to get a feel for the fight! Will take Rintrah in next time

If rintrah doesn’t work tigra trivialises the fight but you need black panther synergy.

You basically end up cornering him punish his sp1 with your heavies, spam them in corner until either he gets to sp1 or you get sp2, dash back throw it, rinse repeat he never goes unstoppable as long as you have a rupture on him. You can sp3 him to put one permanently but it’s not necessary with the flow of the fight.

Not done it for ages but she nukes him.

It’s kinda like the Chavez thing except you’re not throwing combos, only do that to get him to the corner then it’s just heavy spam and specials he won’t actually get to touch you.

Champion done with Rintrah, thanks for all the help! Just trying to figure out the path for 6.3.1 now. I’ve heard 6.3 and 6.4 is actually easier than 6.1 and 6.2 but looks difficult so far! Don’t really have any big bleeders for Medusa and apparently black bolt mini boss is hard too?! I must get TB before banquet!

6.3 and 6.4 have tricky bosses but much easier paths. And then Act 7 is much easier (and way more enjoyable) than both of those.

Chavez will do black bolt with her heavy chain you can knock him down enough. You don’t need a big bleeder for Medusa as the bleeds get boosted like a 4* archangel/fury will do. Turn dexterity off for that fight unless you use warlock parry heavy as she heals. Good luck

I read about this, how do you turn dexterity off? Thanks!

Also, a different question this time about AW. Can I place defenders in multiple battlegroups? Or if I already have defenders in BG1 can I not put them in other BGs?

Go to your masteries reset / recover proficiencies and rebuild without putting anything in dexterity. You can the add the point back after the fight you won’t need to reset again.

Any ideas on the Medusa boss please? I've made it there and don't want to have to go through the path again ideally as I was quite fortunate. I've brought in Venom who is my only bleed champ, but he keeps getting fury buffs etc and i've used 2 revives and she's back up to 100% because of this. Any ideas? I've turned off Dexterity.
  • DannyBDannyB Member Posts: 82
Not sure venom if going to work. He gets too many buff. The idea of turning dex off is to use a champ like say AA or mole man who doesn’t otherwise gain buffs. You turn off their only buff.

Warlock can do it just parry heavy. You can leave dex on for him as he’ll healblock her after I think 4 parries. Use sp3 to regen a little health otherwise just parry heavy.

Nick fury also parry heavy, dex off. Or if you get him unblockable then go ham.

Moleman, dex off, parry heavy, use sp2 (unblockable) when in orange mode. He destroys her.

Killmonger could work with dex off. Learn how to use his truestrike then it’s a normal fight build up loads of bleeds then drop an sp3. He’s probs gonna be the slowest but he’s safe if you learn him.

Warlock is your best bet imo the rank he’s at will be ok. Boost up maybe.

Oh Damn - OK thanks. I should have come in here before doing my character select! Thanks, guess I'm starting the quest again :D

So annoyed I didn’t take warlock first time round, I can’t get anywhere near the Medusa fight now. So disheartening!

Recently had some issues whereby people joining attack phase of our alliance but not completing paths which leads to less exploration. I always do my path and usually one of the highest attacker kills. Yet due to the first issue the alliance leader has decided to assign war places and has left me off (assuming because of my low prestige) even though I’d probably explore more than the people that have been assigned! Thankfully I think I’ve done the 4 wars needed for the rewards but honestly hate this part of the game that people can just decide what you can and can’t do

Are you in an alliance that only does 1 or 2 battlegroups in war?

I suggest after alliance war rewards are in, finding a better alliance that allows all members to join fairly.

Yeah just 2 battle groups. I’ve asked if they’d do 3 but just been ignored. Think I’ll have to stay with them for banquet so I can benefit from alliance rewards there as season doesn’t end for a couple of weeks.

I feel like I’m on a bit of a roll now. 6.3.1 done (used way too many revives but glad to get out of it) 6.3.2 was fairly easy. Abs man did full path up until red skull (why didn’t I learn to play Abs man earlier?! He’s a beast!) any advice for 6.3.3? Looks a long path. It’s gonna be tricky but still aiming for TB to get 7* isophyne! Although not sure I have enough revives stashed for the GM which might stop me!

Question - Does anyone know when the accolade event starts? I need 5 more tickets for sinister which hopefully I can acquire through this event (I was locked out of royal hunt because of progression and don't have enough mysterium to buy the next batch of tickets in traders outpost! I feel like Sinister will hugely help me against Grandmaster when I get there (which i'm cracking on with. I don't want to tempt fate but i'm actually getting through 6.3 pretty nicely after initial struggle on 6.3.1...I think it's because i'm finally using Abs man who seems like a bit of a demon!! Onto 6.3.5 for me now.

I believe the accolade event starts alongside banquet on the 20th, but the traders outpost will refresh with 5 tickets on Wednesday.

Thanks - I can only afford one ticket from the traders outpost unfortunately so hopefully easy to acquire them from accolades! Stupidly I thought the tickets were only 1,000 mysterium each!

Just gotta do more of the side quest, which there will also be a new chapter of on Wednesday. One quest should get you enough mysterium or at least close to it.

Yeah i've tried but roster isn't big enough to make any of the years so far doable (only got a 1 or 2 champs per year ranked up so far).

One thing I meant to say to you, you once you get close to finishing act 6 have a think about your revive situation.

The exploration/potion packs in act 7 are about 400 units and they are better than the 700 unit act 6 ones. In act 8 they are 7000 units so best to hoover up the act 7 ones and make a call late act 6 if you can leave those ones and work with what you have for 7.1

    Hope that makes sense.

My revives are on the ropes :D I think I have 2 20% revives and 1 40% revive. Need to do a big stock up before Grandmaster

Nearly at the end of 6.3. Really happy with how I’ve progressed this chapter. I’ve heard horror stories about this CAIW in 6.3.6 (looking at you @DannyB :D ) is herc my best option for him following a SP1 intercept?

Also - I can’t wait till banquet finishes so I can save my units for willpower mastery 😅

Hey, I’m not sure how infuriate interacts with him, whether it’ll make him throw his specials out of order. You won’t get any red numbers out of herc just crits do damage so he’ll be gimped for damage.

    Your options really are

    1) high crit damage and/or frequency.
    2) Taunt or some mechanism that makes him throw specials to avoid sp3 or maybe a power drain mechanic (not sure if power manipulation works tbh).
    3) The ability to tank his sp3 and start rotation again.

If you can have option 1 and either 2 or 3 in the same champ, that’s ideal. Stark spidey, ghost w/hood for eg.

Does ham have decent crits and taunt?? Don’t play him sorry. Feel like he has taunt from fighting him.

If you only have option 1 use that plus heimdall, boosts and revives. Eg I used Shuri (guaranteed crits) and a revive on last run as no better option.

If you only have 2 or 3 it’s a looooooong fight. You can get whole sections between destructive feedback cycles where you just do no damage despite landing hits as weak/no crits. Tried r4 5* kitty and tanking sp3 but it took way too long.

Worth noting that a r1 7* or similar level champ will survive his sp3 for a second cycle.

Honestly I’m not sure who I’d use from your roster. Ice can tank sp3 but it’ll be v slow, herc might be your best damage dealer, Angela crits a fair bit, ham might work. Dunno sorry.

Swear I remember this fight actually being easier in original act 6 pre nerf. Maybe it’s just everything else got way easier by comparison. 😂

They should chuck up an og act 6 boss now and again so you new guys can get your r4 5*s out and experience dying from 6 parries. You don’t know you’re born etc.

Yeah to be honest it sounds like it’s going to be a pain and haven’t really got the revives for it at the moment. Think I’ll have to hold off. Thanks as ever for your detailed help though!

Yeah I’ve heard the old act 6 was horrendous!!

The act 6.3.6 boss is actually kind of easy, it is just mind numbingly boring. The crit me node with the destructive feedback and glancing combined make for a loooooong fight. Just be prepared to spend some revives, because you're bound to make a mistake in that much time. Just use high crit rate champs.
