I know most won't care about this or sympathize, but this really pisses me off.
This morning an alliance mate who I've known for around 8 years quit the game. He noticed this morning about 10k units gone from his account. Thought his account was hacked so he contacted support. Turns out he accidentally bought the gamora 7 star offer for 9500 units without realizing it a couple days ago. Yesterday he opened the 10 paragon crystals not realizing they were from the accidental purchase. Kabam told him their policy is they can't reverse it. Why did he open the paragons? Because he assumed they were from regular day to day gameplay rewards. Like I said, he didn't even realize he had bought the offer.
He already had a sig 60 7* gamora. It's not he he intentionally spent 9500 for her to get her 20 sigs higher. And obviously he didnt intend to buy 10 paragon crystals for 9500. I understand kabam has their policy, but the policy absolutely sucks. It's clear this was a mistake, and my mate didn't realize the crystals were from the offer. Soon as he noticed, he tried to get it reversed but it was too late. The policy should take into account edge cases where clearly the person made a mistake. Claw back those 10 paragons. Claw back the useless 5 star champs he got from them. Whatever. But the fact that this policy doesn't let kabam even try to help in this situation is really messed up.
He grinded for a year to get these 9500 units. He was saving them up for the banquet like he does every year. It's super demoralizing for your year of work to go down the drain because of an accidental purchase. At the very least, there should be a confirmation popup for large purchases. Anything over 2k units should require a confirmation. I myself have mistakenly purchased those 9500 champ offers in the past and realized it like hours later and got it reversed. It just sucks and I'm sad I lost an alliance mate today.

I am guessing he might have accidentally bought the bundle and thought he would try his luck with the crystals and when they all turned out to be 4,5* champs, he got salty and wanted his units back.
Support has limited capabilities and access. They're not authorized nor capable of reversing Crystals that are opened.
But, im a prolific hoarder so I don't rush to open anything which is what saved me.
It sucks but we are also lucky a mechanism exists that can fix it, whether or not the strict rule of not opening anything is fair or not is another matter.
Tons of places have these policies. As someone who works 2 jobs in retail, it's people with your attitude that we despise the most. People like you think policies shouldn't apply to you and get angry when you can't have your way.
Get over it.
How did they login, get the offer, watch the animations happening from the purchase, go on about their day and come back, buy 10 Paragon crystals and then notice.. that's a lot of buying and not noticing.
And I'm opposite of you, I don't hoard any crystals which are not super important.
And was surprised by those 10 paragons while doing my casual cleanup. At that instance, I didn't even had a clue what offer have I actually bought. I didn't open them, because I knew what crystals I had, alt accounts usually have massive iso issue.
Was pretty close to tap open those 10 paragons without having a clue how I got those. I actually just speed pop a lot of crystals every 2-3 days. But I paused for a bit and it came to me.
