Will Serpent still have his uses when Isophyne comes out?

I currently have an unduped r2 Serpent (7*) and I also have a r2 sinister and r2 red skull.

Now with Isophyne soon to be released, a video surfaced online with her completely shutting down Serpents immortality, she will also be free for everyone.

My question is, aside his offensive uses, will he be any use on defence anymore? And should I r3 sinister or red skull instead? (this will be for valiant btw)

    Damn spiral already cancels out Serpent immortality easily, getting Isophyne as well will be great but I don't think Kabam will give free serpent hard counter to everyone, they won't shame their golden boy like this.

    Do sinister but I have 7r3 Redskull myself and he's perfect dual threat.
    So you can rank up anything but personally Redskull is better defender, one heal block and sinister defence just disappears.

    If you can hold off ranking up a 7* until she comes out then you have strong determination and patience.

    In my eyes if she’s cancelling Serpents immortality she’s already up there with Spiral tbh.

    Add Shathra to the list aswell, she may not cancel out his death immunity but I believe she is the fastest counter to him also

    What I meant was Isophyne won't counter serpent immortality in 1 second like spiral

    What I meant was Isophyne won't counter serpent immortality in 1 second like spiral
    From the vid he doesnt activate it so who knows but it seems shes gonna by pass death immunity

    Holding onto serpent can be useful in the sense that your opponent can't use their serpent counter for other fights. For example, if they got Chavez as their only mystic champion in their draft and you have serpent and hype, then you can place hype and the opponent will have to decide whether they want to win vs hype and lose vs serpent guaranteed, or lose vs hype and potentially mess up once and lose vs serpent too. Alternatively, you could just win the first 2 rounds. It is all part of the strategy of inflicting emotional damage on your opponent.

    If you really want, you can ban every serpent counter they have since if they got 3 counters to serpent, odds are they wont ban your serpent.
