The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!

Okoye sound effects not muted

Here's a new one - Okoye's sound effects for some reason are not muted, even if the game's music and effects are muted in the control panel.

Add it to the list of bugs.

Glad I'm not the only one, but not glad it's a thing. I had to completely mute my phone to stop it from happening.

It happened to me too but only for a few seconds then cut back out. Definitely strange.

I don't know if this is related, but for me, WBN's howl is *always* muted, i.e. i just don't get that sound effect. To me, it sorta just looks like he's taking a stretch break during the fight.

Had to test to see WHICH silent settings (Game vs Device) these couple posts meant, and yes.

IN-GAME Sound Settings (Sound FX *off*, also had Music *off* in game too, just in case they were being diverted thru game music, but no).

Volume of DEVICE itself turned *on* to some usual level.

It is only with Okoye doing the attacking, not hitting her.

And also, ONLY for her BASIC attacks (Light and Medium), that actually land on you. NOT her Heavies or Specials, and not basic attacks of hers that you Block.

(merging in below comments from the other similar post I saw up here)…

(and, I see below mentioned on Android, but mine was Apple, so probably across all devices)

    Event quest
Autoplay (editor note, not only on auto-play)

Since day 1 ive always run the game on silent, during autoplay (Odin v okoye) sounds turned themselves back on a few seconds after the start of the fight.

Settings were correct and next fight was fine...

Same thing is happening to me. I've got a note 20. I noticed it during the quest boss Okoye.

Same thing happened to me and I did the EXACT same thing you did and can confirm the results are identical! ONLY her light & mediums that actually land makes noise and bypass the settings. It caught me off guard because I was auto playing lower level while eating since my game FX & music been off for about 6 years!
The only difference is I'm playing on a Samsung Galaxy S23.
This also happened in battlegrounds a little while back.

I have kept game music and sound effects mutes pretty much since I started playing.

For some reason, I am hearing the sound effects in the Okoye EQ boss fight. It's pretty quiet, but definitely noticeable.

    Anyone else getting this?

It’s because she reduce ability accuracy of sound settings

    Hi @SummonerNR

I'm getting exactly the same issues as you described, on Android phone. Only when she successfully hits the opponent.
