Adding my 2c here, I rarely post comments but I must say I totally agree that the AI in MCOC has turned really frustrating, thus taking all the fun in this wonderfully unique fighting game. From not throwing specials which by the way equals loss on any power gain node, to superhumanly instant recovery times and similar reaction time with no less than perfect medium, light, heavy or SP just what it needs to finish you. Countless times now I've witnessed opponent just standing there and if you eventually dash in you're finished. I can understand that the game reads player's actions 100%, I mean that's a must since the AI doesn't have eyes to watch on-screen what the player is doing but it seems to me that at some stage, some months ago (I can't pinpoint exactly when it happened, maybe it was gradual) the AI was changed massively and not in a good, enjoyable way for the player. I also understand that at each player's action there is a x% chance that the AI has the ideal reaction but man, that went from 20-30% to about 80-90. Add its instant reaction time to this (unfair gaming) and player stands little to no chance to beat the computer. I assume everyone has by this stage encountered a Hyperion who doesn't throw his special till sp3 is unavoidable or the ever-"lovely" Heimdall with his 5-6 chained heavies. If it can't be fixed in a reasonable amount of time then probably best to just go back to original AI where the most annoying was low star arena where AI wwas so passive you could play single-handedly. I guess our whole world not just MCOC is heading to a point where AI will learn and eventually control things and obviously do everything better and faster than any human can keep up with. It's sad but true, all one needs to do is have a look around. Facebook, Youtube and so on are prime examples. They've enhanced their algorythms so much that at this stage they couldn't stop them if they wanted to.
I'll provide a prime example of AI issue and how it was reported with an example and not with a ranty post. Shameless plug of this one again vs shameless kebem.

That video is prime evidence of how bad it is. In the video at the start of the fight the ai hits into kingpin unstoppable with basic and dashes back to counter seemingly all in the same action. If the ai dashes back as its first action that's fine but it didn't. So it goes against the logic and mechanics of the game. It had heightened speed of movements than the mechanics should allow. Players can't light or medium attack and dash back at the same time can they. In any correct scenario that ai basic attack would be countered by the unstoppable and the character would get pummelled backwards by kingpins big belly
intercepts are the worst ever… from either side. your intercept will go poof and then ai will just walk at you to squeeze in a brief kick in the sacks…
Making intercepting necessary is just poor game design when it's almost impossible at times to do so.
The AI feels as tho it reacts to *instantly* counter you so as soon as the window opens to attack, they block and find 50 windows in you to attack just because you went to attack their window...it makes this game horrendous and a major reason I don't want to ever spend on this game
I was robbed of a solo against spidey99 with xbones purely because the AI would dash back 3 times in a row when trying to parry for a heavy or bait a special, and lost my furies. Tried to also bait heavies and he would full on do 4 hits into block then dash back

Yeah, that sounds like a major AI glitch. The AI should've just cooperated with what you were trying to do.
Yeah it ridiculous how you cant rely in intercepts at all. Some times it just doesn't work other they just parry you when intercepting. They seem to just parry any time they want and you just loose the match.

It's one of the most consistently infuriating thing of the game the past few months with no resolution in sight.
AI has always been an issue, and Kabam knows about it. Ranting does not really help. Constructive comments and feedback does.
