There needs to be more “Why I’m still playing.” posts.
If you recall back to when 60 fps came out, there was a groundswell of those types of posts. People I knew that stopped playing were excited about the game again and actively playing.
I don’t think the community is complicated… we want a game that feels like it’s working as intended with AI that’s bound by the same physics as we are, and that month was largely a breath of fresh air.
Fast forward to today… and all the old problems are back plus we have new ones. Every post banquet update has been tragically bugged for at least one major device… Gameplay wise I don’t know if the team artificially messed with the timers or if the AI rolls adjusted to us being able to see and respond faster with more frames but the game inputs and AI plays as faster, poorly and inputs are as unreliable as any point in my memory again…. And instead of even acknowledging it on the stream with a brief statement it felt like an episode of the Battlerealm Shopping Network… it just feels completely outta touch.
And maybe it’s an unfair expectation to want that type of update but we aren’t adequately getting these updates from anywhere else either. Just lots of radio silence as we watch the quality erode further and further each update.
What really makes all the more frustrating is how clean the game performed when 60 fps was introduced compared to now… so what’s changed and why bugs me endlessly at the moment. This game will thrive so much more if it performs as intended reliably. We won’t even need to be sold so hard on things if the game worked well… there’d be far less of these damn depressing threads too.
But the game is playing poorly, game modes have cobwebs on them from neglect and those friends that came back are leaving all over again in addition to others quitting. And the only communication from Kabam on all this is “BUY MORE”… it feels shallow and outta touch… and it sucks.
That’s why this thread has feels different than all the others . It’s not the OP, it’s the timing and the feeling this thread incited.
Dont worry about any of that. They're going to have like 7 champions for sale in the next month so surely thay makes it all okay
This game has always made Champions available through spending in one form or another. All of this foreboding conjecture is as if people have been playing a different game for the last 10 years. The only Champion that has no clear indication of being in the Crystals is the Eidol, as far as I've seen. The other Champs have always been acquirable through the Crystals and Arenas, and yes. They're also acquired through spending. That isn't new. Pre-release bundles aren't new at all. They're a regular occurrence now. The Double Track isn't new either. They're clearly doing them more often. What you have is an Eidol which CAN be won without spending, but the majority of people will have to spend if they want him. Then you have a meta chase Champ, which is also not new. They're not a red flag at all. It's the way the game has operated all along.
By your logic, spending $500 on 1 champion is the same as spending $5 on 1 champion, because the idea of "spending money on a champion" is the same even though the price is drastically different.
Now I'm not saying that the price is different, so don't try and use it as a counter argument. I am highlighting how your "logic" is coming across as you argue that everything is the same because the basic structure is the same.
A 2024 Toyota Camry may have the same basic structure as a 2025 Toyota Camry, but if there are enough small details that are different, it can make it significantly different. And significantly different = new.
This could be a reason people should quit is because the amount of cheating in this game. The mods are still here and people are getting away with it when players like myself grind to get the rewards we are hit with the harsh reality that the cheaters are getting them and not being dealt with, maybe Kabam should pay more attention to their security and making the game a safe place then worried about selling things because they wouldn’t have to sell people more and more if they didn’t have people stealing from them on a hourly basis.

what rank is your onslaught and your serpent ?
R1 off topic. Modders find work arounds still but Kabam has really evolved in anticheating to the point where this is one place where I think the team has truly done a great job policy wise. Eventually the tech will catch modders now that there’s 0 tolerance
I agree, unfortunately once a fun game now is barely playable. AI is awful, so many bugs and really the content is just not fun anymore. Which is criminal really… I can get over the selling stuff and p2w aspects but there’s just zero motivation anymore. I have cleared all necropolis content and have great roster, but giving up on this game is every time I play recently it annoys me with bad AI and bugs, not enjoying I minute of it. Shame really Kabam has ruined a once fun game.
There isn't a single piece of content that I genuinely enjoy anymore. When the game decides you should not get the OP champs that everyone gets, and the competitive mode forces you to play against them time and time again, it quickly wears out. I mean, I get that Kabam has no idea how game breakingly OP champs like Serpent are, but not allowing me to pull even a 6 star of it from countless crystals (including nexus and abyss nexus) whilst every piece of new content requires you to have it (defensively and offensively) is just a bad taste chase designed to make you pay, the same way you dupe a rare champ if you use an awakening gem. Same for Enchantress. This new trend of absurdly OP defenders and nodes that make the AI bugs even more frustrating is only going to get worse. And gating a group of champs behind pieces on competitive content that suffers the most with the gap in rosters is just the icing on the cake. In the endas long as there is one guy that spends 6 figures on a fiasco of a celebration it's OK by Kabam. F.O.M.O. will only get you so far...
By the way, I hold the record of the player with most GHCs opened without a 4 star. It was over 1200.

This post is why people hate I quit threads. Complains about RNG in a RNG game, hates all the content, then ends it with something no one cares about

I never said anything about pricing for things. It's all subjective, really. Exclusivity is one of the things that goes into pricing, but at the end of the day you either want what's being sold, or you look at it as "another Champ". We were discussing the amount of things being sold and how it was presented. It's really not that novel. A couple exclusives that will end up in Crystals eventually, and the usual sales.

By "fully commented on" do you mean he puts out videos where he just reads other people's forum posts while also never engaging with anyone outside his own platforms?

That's good for people like me who don't want to read through mindless arguing of 7-8 forum pages and just get the main squeeze out of discussion.

You want him to argue with you and lose his sanity? Lol no.

The fact people here argue and made big deal of someone quitting vs the other guy here who posted that he cameback playing after 2 years wasn’t made a big deal but someone quitting is a bigger deal apparently with over 6k views on this thread 🤣😂🤣
My biggest argument was that he made valient very easily so that shows you how easily the valiant title is able to get now
The fact that I argue with some people here just makes me think how dumb it is really lol.
Like out mcoc career will never be associated outside us even facing in bg’s witch is closest we can get to pvp in mcoc.
Im just hoping for new title progression by 4th July or atleast by cyber deals.
Anyways kabam Will make so much money off 2025 banquet by selling r5 7* materials and we will all be here again arguing about how things are outdated and people quitting 🤣😂🤣😂
