They Didn't Punk-Proof Ares???

I already posted here about how Punk cheeses several fights on the Hulking path: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/390200/best-eop-hulkling-counter#latest

But I for sure thought Ares would just ignore his evades, but he doesn't, lol.
He doesn't get stunned, but the opening is still created.
We'll see how many revives it takes when I come back to do this fight tonight, but it should be way easier than normal.

    Great comment.

    Anyway.

For other players out there who took note of the Punk tips and are looking for an edge with Ares (myself included), let me recommend Juggs. If you have some unstoppable buffs when he roots you for the special, you can screw up the first action and still recover even if he hits you. It’s a great safety net if you’re having trouble distinguishing between the sp1 and sp2.

Sorry, I don't have a recorder set up on my phone. Is there a recording app you recommend?
I'll use Punk on the next path too so I can try to record some gameplay for those interested.

I just use the iOS utility. It’s not a big deal, I know it’s a pain to post something to a third party just to get a link up here. Nice work finding a slightly out of the spotlight champ that works so well.

Cool, thanks, I will look into it.
Also, I think you said you used Simula67's guides for EoP?
I used him, too, and this cheatsheet for the special dexes was super helpful (assuming people don't have color vision issues):

Knowing that he’s going to throw a special based on the number of times he blinks to saved me a TON of revives. I didn’t discover this, saw this on a youtube comment, but when he blinks once, he throws sp1. Blinks twice, sp2.

Juggs works for a lot of fights people wouldnt expect him to like tigra or anus
my anus also takes a lot of fights no one would expect him to take too
Haha, we were all thinking it, but only you had the courage to say it.
    Is "courage" the right word?

Ok, so I was able to actually open the loot in peace now.

The Science crystal couldn't have been a bigger W, a Ham dupe, and I can just R3 him right away with the mats from these rewards.

But yes, overall, the rewards for this completion were crazy, given the relative ease of the challenge, even for someone like me, who only 4 months ago was a Cavalier stuck on Act 6.

The Titan I'm going to add to the collection and really hope to save for June, we'll see though.

And next up, the rest of the paths. I still have a bunch of revives left and I'm confident I can get that R4 gem very soon, just need to find the time to read up on some of these paths, because I wasn't around for most of these challenges previously so they're brand new to me (other than the last few AoA fights).

How did you get so many science rewards? Are they selectors or based on the path you take?

You get a path reward that is class related to one of the two classes allowed on the lane.
