Original AW Map

I think next AW season we should go back to the original map. Have 1 season of everything from the beginning with hidden defenders and all. A bit of nostalgia and also something new for newer players so they can see how the game has evolved. It may rekindle the fun and enjoyment the game use to bring.

    Original map also didn’t have endless 40% revives… Don’t want to go back to those days.

    hidden defenders will work so well these days : )

    ngl, it would be cool if they had every old map and only let champs from that era to be used. good memories.

    Yeah I’ll have a lot of fun having to guess on the hidden defenders if I’m fighting Bullseye or Serpent or Arcade or Enchantress where I die if I guess wrong and completely brick if I didn’t have the foresight to bring a team that can counter literally every defender in the game.

    You are discounting the immense power of the binoculars masteries
    They don’t even help that much lol. They only show you the PI (not very helpful) and class (gives you an idea of what’ll work but there’s plenty of champs like Sentinel and Onslaught who’ll hard punish you for bringing just any old class advantage). Not to mention they only trigger one you get close to them on the map, at which point you have already locked in a team that might not be able to tackle the defender.

    (I know you’re being sarcastic, but like seriously they don’t do jack).

    More so a nostalgic game mode where we can only use all ogs like back in the day. Would be kinda fun with hidden defenders that way now. But new champ hidden defenders sounds terrifying 😂

    I like how there currently is a “NEW War Map” thread, as well as (this) “ORIGINAL War Map” thread, both hitting the charts, lol.

    As to Original map, how many people remember that “side-step” segment between Lower and Middle sections ?
    That originally traveled in one direction, and then later was switched so it traveled in the opposite direction.
