I have called an emergency champion of the week to save the reputation of the boss OG Falcon.

We must distinguish between the three falcons:

Now folks. Falcon's main gimmick is his immediate 100% DAAR reduction he inflicts when he holds his block for 1.2 seconds.

Now when he's locked in, man he'll just get stuff done. You of course want to crit like crazy with Falcon, his sig and stat focus benefit him hugely.

There's basically nothing more to substantial his utility apart from that. That being said he ramps up like crazy against evade matchups (until Bullseye wanted to be special and made his evade AAR proof so Falcon wouldnt cook him in 30 seconds).

What does this mean in practice?

I'll tell you a short list of champions that I've used him against and how well he performs. There's far more he can neutralise than what I'm listing but you gotta hear me out on these ones specifically.

- (Thing): Falcon cooks him so hard it's not even funny. You get Locked On up and the Thing is about as tanky as Ebony Maw as he can't build up Rock Stacks. I'm not even joking I've cooked Things as short as 21 seconds with Falcon. He's probably the best Thing counter in the game, unless I'm missing someone.

- (Photon) See the post. Not much needing to be said here. That being said the AI did co-operate in not throwing a special when I was intentionally doing micro-passive (or whatever its called when u block right after a combo) stuff to trick the AI into not throwing a special. Even then Falcon cooks with a similar time.

- (Spot) See statement for Thing. Same story, no spots, no trouble.

- (Hulkling) This one can be tricky to pull off as you may eat some hefty block damage trying to get Locked On active. When you do however, he's an absolute cakewalk. No regen, no indestructible, happy days all around.

- (Spider-Ham) Ramps up insanely quick as I'm 99% sure Falcon gains increased crit rating each time he hits Spider-Ham because of some technicality in his abilities basically forcing his evade to fail regardless.

Falcon has secret ability that helps him to bypass all extra ability accuracy nodes at the start of the fight.

For example against v7 2.2 quest spidy gwen boss(I run this quest often for [redacted] reasons.

That bish has 60% extra chance to evade but she will never evade when falcon's lock on is active. But she will evade if you inflict slow.

Falcon also gets his cruelty charge everytime if opponent has a chance to evade if you hit, regardless of whether they trigger heavy or not. But this doesn't work in abyss or lol.

I think it's an issue with the order in which modifiers to ability accuracy are applied.

It may be inevitable, and as intended; in the same way that it's inevitable and intended for Wiccan to apply Incinerates when Titania fails to gain buffs; but loads of people think that's a bug...

I can confirm that this interaction with Mister Fantastic is bugged. I believe Falcon used to ramp up Cruetlies upon each hit against him due to how Mister Fantastic's evade worked. I used to come around a lot more Mister Fantastic(s) and Falcon was my go to.

Mister Fantastic has a base 0% chance increasing by +5% for each non-damaging debuff on the opponent (not stated to be a flat increase either). Since this would be chanced against every hit Mr Fantastic takes, it should fail 100% of time with Lock On active, giving you cruetlies for free.
