Realm Event: Questions

Just taking a cursory inventory of the ways to get points for the Realm event, is it necessary to do both BGs and Raids to hit the 285K needed for all milestones?

Missed the stream, but perhaps it was addressed there?

Think I recall seeing there are Realm Event points for BG, reach Silver, reach Gold, reach Platinum, reach Diamond, etc ?

If so, do you automatically get those points if you start the seasons beyond those lower levels ?
(Like as part of an updated “starting rewards” after doing 5 matches) ?

Yes but that basically only gets you 12k per season, until we get info on the drops(if they count once or per drop) and the August meta event we are kinda stuck, pretty poor event leaving everyone questioning things, the point total minus drops and August meta stuff is 187k.

I’m going to assume what’s coming in August gets us there - and also assuming that Kabam has either done their math OR hoping that they’re reading this and updating the August events to make sure we’re getting a ton of points in August

The “upcoming August meta event” may be similar to the fantastic force recruitment event in July - you can run it a ton with energy and stack points up that way

I'll hand it to Kabam, I didn't expect this to be a spending event, but they managed somehow.
It doesn't bother me. The rewards are nice, and I'm happy to get the ones I get, but nothing at the top is worth the stress. I will just play the content I was going to play regardless, and whatever extra I get from the realm rewards, that's cool.

The funny part is they didn’t pick out these points total out of the blue. They were intentional, so why not let us know what’s the maximum possible points for f2p on stream instead of letting us having to try and read their minds. Some of these stuff are for things in August, shouldn’t we know ahead of time how many points we can expect there for people who won’t be able to complete everything, at least can plan what to complete to get the milestones they want?

Who is going to be number 1 tell me? Someone who is loging 24-7 and doing everything playing every inch of the contest. I think Kabam will update BG score as well not just milestone To boost players play.

I realize the frustration from the community on spending lately - but in this case, it would cost $72,500 to hit 285k points. Don't think even the most blubery of whales will be taking that approach!

To be fair, 800 points is less than what you get for beating a single saga incursions zone. It’s kind of a trash deal if your spending $200 on that

I thought we could farm points in incursions for free? That's the whole reason I said that. If the 'complete a zone in saga incursions' point source is repeatable, then there'd be no reason to buy a $200 bundle for 800 points when you can farm 1000 points per zone on incursions.

I wouldn't make assumptions about how it works before it is live. Also there is going to be a way to be able to grind points because some people are going to be going for that Bastion title.

If you look at the 3rd milestone on the dse it has a banner for the points probly will be what the incursions saga will have as well so probly no grinding incursions like alot of ppl think

It’s not an assumption, on the incursions info page on the MCoc website it lists out the rewards for each zone.

Can't speak for DDHK cause I had no intention of getting him so didn't pay attention, but eidols and Mr. F chase were laid out. I get the point you are trying to make, but use examples that highlight that otherwise it will fall on deaf ears at Kabam.

Did they mention this anywhere about being able to grind for it? Because so far the how to get points tab lists nongrinderable ways, the way to get extra points is by buying unit deals on the webstore

I'd bet there is some sort of buffer built in and there's another place to get points that isnt listed.

However, like the buffer for the chase champs like MF where you could only miss 4 zones in incursions and nothing else, it's probably the difference between NM raid miniboss chests ve regular raid miniboss chests.

They only have to buy enough to get the top spots. Not the whole event. Anyone who has bought an Odin has already beaten 90% of the player base. Everyone below paragon won't get up there because they can't do valiant eq.

this is how kabam want you to get the rest of the points

you can get roughly 185k points as a free player by doing every thing, that incluse the daily super event, the win 1-2-3 BG's every few days and the 15k from new incursion {NOT REPEATABLE}.
adding everything up non spenders will be about 100k at least shoprt of being able to reach the top milestones, clearly kabam wanted to make money from this and the whales will oblige trying to get that rank reard and title.

Well, if you can t do multiple times something to get more points, what happens with the rank rewards when a few hunderd ppl end up with max points at the end of the event?

you can not repeat everything, only the daily super and the win BG's quest every few days, the rest are not repeatable, the way people will seperate is by spending and getting points in bundles.

Hitting GC gives 12.5k points.
Every raids for next 4 weeks gives 12k points.
Val eq gives 15k points.
Showcase gives 22.5k points
Saga incursions gives 15k points.
There are a lots of points in other events.

I don't see the point of grinding 285 zones tbh.

Hitting GC twice over course of event…25K points

Showcase both paths…15K (unless you can double up points here)

Complete a path in July/Aug Valiant Gauntlet (2.5K ea)…5K

30 days of hitting all BGs objectives (1.2K/ea)…36K

64 days of hitting DSE…29.76K

Complete 15 rooms in Saga Incursions…15K

My math may be off, but I think that’s a running total of 125.76K. There are other events we don’t know much about like the Special Solo Objectives. That raises the question of whether you can hit everything without doing Raids and BGs.

Any input or thoughts on what’s missing appreciated.

i worked out by doing everything and adding {roughly all repeatable} points it adds up to 125k, the 15k from incursions is only a 1 time deal and people are saying you can do over and over but it is not, the only repeatable ones are the daily super x64 and the win BG's and that is about 21 times, a twitch drop x1, and a few monthly points etc. the rest is only available from unit purchases as i posted in screenshots from online store.

If that’s correct (and it would be nice if an official Kabam forums mod could chime in), then it’s a disappointing result. I’d like to think there are ways to make up points that don’t involve tapping a credit card that many have already tapped again and again on mcoc this year.

doing the BG quests up to Vibranium 1 = 12,500,
twitch drop = 2,500,
Dark Pheonix AW showcase rewards - 7,500 x 2 = 15k,
august special solo objective = 5k,
final boss raid / nitemare raid chest = 6k,
mini boss nitemare raid chest = 2k,
mini boss raid chest = 1k,
monthly valiant gauntlet july and august - 2,500 x 2 = 5k,
special solo objective august meta event = 3,750,
fantastic force incusions = 15k
3 daily BG quests to complete win 1,2 and 3 BG's - roughly 21 times can be done = 25k
all the above equates to 122,510

maybe i am missing something
