17.0.1 - Screen Shift at Start of Fight [Not a Bug] [Merged Threads]

There seems to be a new, uncomfortable, camera shudder or movement at the start of every match-up right before the "FIGHT" text fades in. The camera bops down and up.

Please revert this back to how it was before the update, it's quite uncomfortable.

Using an iPhone X, but it might affect other devices as well.

After talking with the rest of the team it looks like this is actually a camera shift to take into account the size of a champion! At the moment this is our way of fitting the screen properly to the champions currently in battle.

With Sentinel joining the contest we definitely want to take into account those bigger Champions! With that said, we, of course, appreciate any and all feedback you can give us on these changes.

I'm glad i was not the only one experiencing this, the shift is much obvious on my galaxy s8 than what's shown in the video. Not good.

This effect causes discomfort similar to motion sickness. Please reconsider this approach.

This has been giving me severe eye strain after a few fights... had to step away from the game for several hours to rest my eyes after a few fights

This is pretty bad UX. As you can see, a lot of people here and a bunch more are having nausea and dizziness from this camera shift. Please fix this. It's really isn't a solution.

This is definitely a bug. When the camera switches to the shot of both champs running towards each other, the camera starts in one place, then pops upward.

Putting the camera in a different place may be intentional, but that jarring pop is a bad, unnecessary thing. It needs to be fixed so the camera either starts in the right place or moves smoothly.
