Good thing they didn't offer a 5* awakening gem today would have bought it and then saw this topic and been upset with myself for giving money to a company that treats it's users this way
Kabam made a mind numbing painful solo event quest (Vanquishing blows).
Customers started taking the least effort route (of fighting 1* and 2* champs).
Customers started using a map which has been there since Act 1.1.5 was released and so they could farm some low level single champ revives. A map that many have been using for a very long time to farm revives.
Now we are supposed to be thankful that you are not punishing your customers at this time time?
This wasn't an exploit. This wasn't abuse of the game. This wasn't like using a champ that caused the defender to start off dead...
This is doing content as content is designed and intended.
Saying you are not taking action against your customers at this time has got to be the epitome of Kabam's arrogance
Act 1.1.5 has been the same for years, it's only because it has been highlighted that you have addressed this exploit and then go on to to blame the loyal players for an exploit you created, all because it's not cost effective rive for you guys. Come one guys you're better than this so rather than blame us, take ownership and apologise. As a manager that's what I have to do otherwise it's simply, poor management. We support the game and are fully behind it but we expect the same respect back
It's not an exploit. Not in any way, shape or form. It is a game built on grinding and resource farming where players will experiment and test out various methodologies to make said grinding and farming the most efficient.
Now we're supposed to be thankful we're not punished for playing the game they designed...
I totally agree. Such a scummy thing to do. But this is by far the first time we've been treated like this. More reason to quit and stop giving them money.
The balls of the comment below is ridiculous. If you don't want players to explore and use EVERY aspect of the game, don't put it in there. I'm really disappointed that they would even say something like this and honestly not surprised.
"At this time, we have decided not to take any action against Summoners that may have taken advantage of this Quest."
Its funny how they went in and pushed a button to remove the item with no maintanance or emergency maintanance. For bugs they take take weeks to fix with maintenance after maintenance.
Hi everyone, we just wanted to take a moment to reiterate what we've already stated. The item was removed and replaced because it was being used and gathered in a way that wasn’t intended - it was a clear exploit. We said that we aren’t planning on issuing any infractions or taking any actions over this because we have received questions from players and we wanted to clarify the situation for the community.
As for those asking about other issues that haven’t been resolved yet, that is because they are more complicated and may require more time to research, reproduce, create a fix for, test, and then implement. Sometimes this will require an update and sometimes it won’t, but this is because each issue is unique and must be handled differently. That said, comparing issues in game and asking why one isn’t fixed before another is not a constructive conversation for the forums.
We understand that it can be frustrating to see some issues you'd like resolved to linger in-game while we continue to work on them, but that does not mean that every announced fix should be met with argument or debate over why we have fixed one thing over another. There are many factors involved in determining the timeline of any given fix, as outlined above.

Then winter soldier farming by your definition is an exploit?
Even on another closed threat Miike reiterated it.
So that means they are actually thinking of giving punishment.
Absolute joke
Take action for what. If they don’t want people to take advantage don’t give them something to take advantage of. If it’s farmable the players will farm it. You think I’d like to spend 40 units on a lvl2 revive, when I can get a lvl 1 revive for free. We aren’t stupid...
Game is Messy as hell, so when I die to one of the many bugs or lag I’d have to buy revives which is not something you compensate for...
I guess you could call it taking advantage of free revives to self compensate for this buggy game...

This is not an exploit, this is your customers making use of content as it was designed and intended for use.
This is not even remotely similar to people taking advantage of a bug.
See the problem is that they had some big time Youtuber's, live streaming the farming of said items. This is the only reason you didn't see a in-game ban. They know that players are fleeing the game at a decent rate, of course those players are being replaced by new ones, but do those new ones spend?
There once was a company that valued players, not exploited them. They understood that there game was performing up to standards and would graciously compensate the player base. They understood how frustrating it was to lose items or boost due to server crashes, and they had a support team that would graciously offer to help ease that players trouble. There once was a company that listened to it's players and asked it's players feed back, they gave everyone random gifts, not just a select few. They fixed bugs that both benefited the player and company alike. There once was a company that knew what it meant to be a player in MCOC.
Sadly, that company no longer exists. It's replaced genuine support with auto responses and canned messages. It no longer holds ANY standards that doesn't make it money. It's taken the favor of the grand master and buried it under their company vault. It replaced genuine knowledge forum moderators, with hacks and stooges that run it like a war camp. They fix any bug that represents some strategic way of gain resources in hours/days of finding out. They ban those that use other bugs as exploits, but say sorry for you luck as specials miss fired week in and out, and for the love of god don't mention how long UC was broke as a way of saying they don't always fix things that benefit players. One fight in a very challenging section of the game, to which 50% of the base wouldn't fight everyday was broke. Get over it.
To say the end is near, is a far fetched idea, as new comers not scorned, or without knowledge of what MCOC used to be have no foot hold on how bad it has actually gotten. So the end of the game is not near, but the end of many a player is rapidly approaching.
If you’re going to remove the revive from Act 1, you should at least add in a 25% to 50% chance to drop a revive from beating ROL Winter Soldier. At the moment, there’s no reliable way to farm revives in this game. I understand the need to keep things balanced and from being overly exploited, but there should at least be some way to reliably farm revives

They don't want balance, unless its from your check book.

Huh?
Just wow...
Trying to make a crappy joke that failed?

Very much this. 100% agree.

Time to fix this problem

Is it an exploit that every arena fight i get battle chips?
"Never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut"
You say nothing and they get nothing, so don't be revealing these secrets on the forums.
Farming lvl revives is an explot in Act 1.1.5
Farming lvl 3 health potions against WS in ROL is okay
Cost of lvl 3 health potion 14 units per energy
Cost of lowest revive you can purchase 40 units which took 15 energy
14 units saved per energy is okay
Yet 40 units per 15 energy (2.66 units per energy) is not?
How are we supposed to know what we can and cannot farm in this game when Kabam logic is whatever they want it to be?
