instead of dropping them down to punish the alliances in the lower ranks, they should just remove all the rewards and ban the piloted account.

This way the alliance gets punished by removal of rewards and points gained, alliances in lower tier don't get unfairly matched, piloted account get banned, leadership group of alliance gets informed of said account.

The cheating alliances should be deducted season points AND war rating points at the same time. By doing so, they not only lose their ranking but also their multiplier, thus it will be difficult for them to climb back.

You makes it as if you worry about the other alliances chance of retaliation but fact is you just don’t want to lose your multiplier. Nothing is wrong with that but I think the penalty perfectly fits the crime. So if you don’t want to lose it, don’t cheat.

As I have stated previously, this loss in war rating is not effecting me personally. We were likely going to be gold 1, and all this has done is ensured we will get gold 1 (without even trying). Even with the worse multiplier we are still getting more then enough points from crushing the opposition we are paired with.
As for "you make it as if you worry about the other alliances chances of relatiation", that's precisely correct. I feel awful about how unfair these wars are, and believe it or not, have empathy for the victims.

What you said is from your perspective. The lower tier alliances would have fun, having the chance to fight a better opponent that they wouldn’t have faced in normal circumstances in a war that they were supposed to lose. They would get matched with weaker alliances in the following wars.

Me and my alliance were having a lot of fun, battling a 3.1k alliance even when we ended up losing badly eventually. We took it as a chance to test our limit. We don’t need any sympathy and we are definitely not a victim.

Not everyone gets enjoyment out of losing. In fact that's a pretty uncommon trait to have. You claim I am speaking from only my perspective yet you are doing the same. Not everyone takes enjoyment out of an impossible challenge, and whether you identify as a victim or not it really doesn't matter.

Not everyone gets victim mindset either. You said it’s uncommon, so do you have any data to back it up?

Truth is most of the alliances are indifferent about who they fight. Win some, lose some, that’s how this game is designed.

I just don’t get why a cheating alliance when caught cheating, suddenly cares about the others and acts selflessly for the sake of the lower tier ones. Well, we would be more thankful if your alliance played fair and didn’t cheat in the first place.

The reason this "cheating alliance" cares is because I am not my alliance, I am me. The majority of our members I know to be fair play, but it only takes 1 bad invite to ruin it for everyone. If kabam would tell us who did what then we would happily remove them, but thats not a luxury we have. We aren't some evil alliance dead set on cheating any way possible. I want this game to be fair, and that's why i'm advocating that piloting continue to be monitored, but in a fair way for everyone. Letting an offending alliance walk all over lower rated alliances is not the answer.

I would bet a lot of money that the vast overwhelming majority of players do not have fun facing an alliance that is nominally several tiers higher than they are. If they wanted that sort of fun, they would enter with 3* star attack teams.

I do believe that you are different than the cheater that ruined your alliance and most of the members didn’t pilot. However, your alliance did benefit from the act, thus you got punishment, which fits the wrongdoing.

But lowering war rating is a common practice either as punishment or alliances deliberately doing so during off season to collect more shards.

In fact, I used to play in a semi retired alliance that solely focused in AW. With 10 legends and 20 other strong veterans in the team, we had 19 wins in a row. We never looked back or asked was this fair for the lower tier alliances that unfortunately got matched with us.

So can you suggest anything to fix it? Because I see this practice is similar to the issue you mentioned here. The only difference is that Kabam force it on you.

Do you think that high tier alliances should be forced to play in their own bracket and could not lower their war rating to fight in lower tier whenever they want?

I absolutely agree with you that the entire alliance should be punished. If we had someone cheating that makes anything we did with them unfair, and thus we benefit from it. As for a solution to how I think this problem can be fixed?

Honestly I see allot of merit in @DNA3000 's concept. Reducing an offending alliances seasonal score based off the wars they were caught cheating, as well as a "cooldown" system, in which the alliance continue to fight the same difficulty wars, but gets rewarded lower tier rewards for the duration of the cooldown. This would keep overpowered alliances from face rolling back up the ranks, while also punishing them for the rules they broke.
