Also kabam is not a single entity but the actions of people representing them affect the company...have you worked in customer service or a company in general?

Ye i work at fairly large Jewelry company in Manhattan, I know how this works. Our employees get their stuff straight most of the time.
So you've seen one video. How many times did you contact support for in-game interactions and got a wrong answer?

Come on. Kabam has shown a lot of incompetence in the past few weeks, but that was on the devs. You're blowing this way out of proportion.

You can't tell me the customer support of your company never made a mistake, especially such an obvious one. But you decided to open this thread because of one example in one video?

    Come on.
That is not the case. First off I have had terribly poor interactions with Kabam support in the past and since have stopped contacting them. But secondly, my response is a result of many issues and problems that the game has had in the past few months. Devs not responding, bugs flying everywhere and crashes. At a certain point people will break. Alot of us spend a ton of money here and we feel like we are being treated like garbage. Not to speak about the companies intentions, because I am sure that is not what they want to do. But you have to be real and realize that there are fundamental issues with the company and the game at the moment. It is all trickling down and we can see the cracks forming.

Please dont take what I say out anger at you or anyone here, but more as frustration. I would rather have a few months heavy fixes over more content and champions. If I did'nt care about this game I wouldnt be posting here.
Sure, I get that. There have been a lot of issues.

But is that the straw that broke the camel's back? That's just silly. No offense, but all you do here is promote a awfully misinformed video.

And while you might not be on about the wasp issue, you're still helping to spread misinformation about it.

That's the issue I have with your thread, now that we're letting the cats out of their bags.
First off, he is not misinformed, I doubt you even watched the video. He clearly says that he doesn't care about the wasp issue as much as the precedent that their employees are clearly inconsistent or misinformed. Everything you just agreed with me on, KT1 said. So yeah, you never watched his video. He states all of this pretty clearly. He is no Prof Hoff
Did you watch the video...? Excuse me, but he genuinely starts by explaining how he found the explanation regarding wasps fix understandable and logical and then throws all that out the window to paint that support message as some kind of an equally valid piece of information, without even once mentioning how is does not make a bit of sense in terms of the explanation he found logical just a few minutes ago.

He even advises people to take this message as a valid piece of information, directly implying they should show it around and use it as an argument.

Yes, he talks about kabam support contradicting an official statement, the latter of which, and I'm certain of that, goes through a lot more double checking processes than a simple answer from one support employee. But he does not say that on the basis of "this statement here makes sense in line of how the game works in this regard in any other situation, but this message here does not and contradicts the first statement."

He paints it as valid information and tries to stir up users.

Like, share and subscribe ladida freaking da.
I don't see KT1 as someone who would want to stir up users on no basis at all. You have to remember he is a highly respected player in the community and one who is held in high regard by Kabam and the devs as well.
Look, I judged the video by what it provided. He doesn't get a bonus for anything.

Again, he did build this up as two somewhat equally valid statements contradicting each other, with one of the two going against any in-game logic.

I don't see any other purpose here than to stir people up, because he knows how many people will eat up what he says.

If that wasn't his goal he could have very well sticked to his point in the beginning of the video, namely how the decision regarding the wasp fix is logical. And then simply rip the message apart as being wrong, not as being contradicting.

That's not what he decided to do, though.
Okay so set that all aside and take the video away. Do you not agree that there is a bigger issue at hand? There are so many issue with the game currently, whether it be bugs, misinformation with the staff, incorrect character descriptions, wtvr. There is something fundamentally wrong about that. A lot of this community unrest can be traced to these sources.

"Most of the time". So you, or your employees/coworkers have been wrong in the past. Most of the time means you've been wrong on more than one occasion and you say it like it was ok for you to be wrong, but this one incident that comes from a YouTube video and can't be 100% verified as true, isn't ok?

People in a job are bound be wrong. In this case, support is wrong. You have to use logic when looking at these situations.

    Wasps stun is passive.
    Debuffs are active.
    Immunities to bleed/stun/poison are passive.
Wasp cant stun a stun immune because that ability is passive.
Wasp can stun a debuff immune because her stun is passive.
    Its not hard to understand.

Again, people are wrong all the time. You're just hanging on to this one little bit of misinformation to make the argument valid.
No i am not hanging on for that reason. So you're saying its okay for their employees to be wrong as often as possible? We all know there is a severe issue with misinformation in this game, by devs, support and others.
Im not saying that at all. I know what their support is. They are contracted workers that copy and paste scripts and have basic replies to issues sent. They aren't at Kabam headquarters and are likely work from home or in India. They don't have anything to do with the game. Certain issues get sent up the chain for a more official response. Other than that they have a situation document that outlines how to respond.

This is common for companies like this. Doesn't make it right but again, its why we have the forums who are a direct link to Kabam.
Again, I understand and mostly agree with you, but having said that, you can see how the misinformation can be infuriating and a company of Kabam's caliber should have a more effective way of answering these questions. Maybe these types of questions should only be answer by devs and mods here, thus an appropriate support response would be a link to the forums. But allowing uneducated (as in game dynamics and intricacies) answer these types of questions is irresponsible on Kabam's end and leads to community unrest dissatisfaction.

Ok, so then there is a serious problem with misinformation within the company. This is not the first time. There needs to be action taken one way or the other
Support has always been less than helpful in terms of situations like this. Its exactly why the forums exist.
There is something inherently wrong about that
Wait, why? Support’s job is to help with bugs, glitches, or technical game issues (ie accidentally selling items, buying items, or rewards not paying out correctly). The support team is NOT designed to advise you on specific interactions in the game and tell you how passives, buffs, debuffs, and abilities all interact with one another, even though they try to do so. It’s clear that one message from a support rep is pretty much all it takes to confirm they don’t understand game interactions on that level.

Kabam either needs to do one of two things:

    1. Train their support team so they actually have a good foundation of game mechanics/interactions so when they actually talk to a player, their response is rooted in knowledge and accurate facts rather than just blurting stuff off the cuff with no real understanding.

    2. Be very clear to the support team that they are not to make any comments regarding actual game mechanics and interactions as all it does is serve to confuse the player base and incite more frustration.

Bottom line, forums are the best place to get an actual understanding of game mechanics whether through players who understand them or mods who actually communicate with the devs. I’m not contacting support wondering why Cap doesn’t nullify brawl or why IMIW doesn’t work against Havok. I’m contacting them if I don’t receive arena rewards or if I accidentally buy/sell something and hope they can revert it back to normal.

    I fully agree with you.

When I said there is something inherently wrong i was addressing the fact that they are answering questions that they are not qualified to answer on. And while that my seem a minor infraction I see it as more of a sign as how poorly the support staff and other aspects of the company is are run. This is a common occurrence

I'd be more concerned about the misinformation that the player base itself spreads. Kabam in comparison is more correct than incorrect by a big margin. The player base however, isn't. You have reddit and YouTube where Kabam can't respond or correct statements. Both platforms are also more well known that the forums. When you come here after those places, Mods have generally clarified situations and people start posting again because they won't do a search and the cycle keeps going.

Yes, they need to improve their communication, but that video was created, because wUsP nUrF is the hot topic right now.

If that wasn't a topic that already has a lot of unjustified misinformed uproar, this mistake from support wouldn't in any way have warranted a magic 10 minute mark video. And, again, it wouldn't have been portrayed and conveyed the way it was.

There is a significant amount of misinformation that occurs here, Zibit is actually a huge problem when it comes to that.

This is a single example, one of many. You wouldn't run your company half assed like this, and I would expect better from a billion dollar corporation

A lot of this community unrest can be traced to these sources.
Seriously? A lot of the community unrest is due to the content creators blowing issues out of proportion.

Now I don't say kabams communication is all good and dandy. Heck no. I've been complaining about their lack of effort in that aspect since the last big maintenance.

Does that change the character of the video? Nope. Does that make this exact instance of a mistake more valid? Nope.

The issue presented in the video was "these two [equally valid] statements contradict themselves - rank up your wasps, folks" and not "here is kabam support giving out illogical and wrong information that goes against anything related in the game - let's laugh about this one dude's lack of knowledge."

Look, he even build up the picture of this one support dude essentially having all the information at hand. Does he specify that the support person most likely didn't use that information, which lead to his answer being wrong? Nope, he leaves that open for interpretation.

That's stirring up sh*t, nothing else.
Yet you still want to talk about the video. I dont understand, do you not read my comments and just want to type the same **** over again? It's getting frustrating.
The video is the basis for your thread, mate. You do understand that, right?

Also, around me still referring to my criticism regarding the video, I answered everything from your last reply. I simply put it in perspective to the basis of your thread.
Ummm Mate... I get it is the basis of the thread but I am saying that there something fundamentally wrong with a companies function when misinformation is often presented. This is a single example, one of many. You wouldn't run your company half assed like this, and I would expect better from a billion dollar corporation

I don't think main reason for frustration is that she is getting nerfed the most frustrating part is how long for them to realize that things are unintended in this game for example she hulk fix, this fix, AA, Sym Sup bio. Those are just a few examples it's like they don't even know what is intended or not and just play along until they have a reason to take these things away an example of this is when they need she hulk they obviously did it because of 6.2 it's like they purposely throw us under the bus and move on like nothing happened

Often implies you can list numerous things quickly because they happen... often. 3 out of 100's if not 1000's isnt often. Also, now you're actually incorrect which means you're as reliable as support.

AA's issue was close to 2 years ago. Backdraft intercept was within the past couple months. So... With you now spreading misinformation... What are you going to do about it? Is this how you are at your company?

Just assume support usually has no idea what they’re talking about. What Zibiit stated should be how Wasp is. Wasp’s stun is a passive, not a debuff so it should work on debuff immunity. However, it should not work against stun immunity. If this isn’t how she’s behaved then she’s been bugged.

Understandable, and I agree with you in most part. But if support is as useless as you say, then why have it? there needs to be a better system. This one is not working
Because they're not (only) there for explaining how the game works...?
    Then why explain it?
Because they have to, since it's their job, you know? And they probably answer those questions to the best of their knowledge. They're not a walking wiki, though.

Think you got me with that question, huh?
So then kabam are responsible for what they say which is the point...also did you edit your previous comment?
First of all, kabam is not a single entity. You do understand that, right?

Second of all, yes, I misplaced a bracket and corrected it. Is that relevant...?
They are not a single entity, but every person at that company represents the company. and they need to uphold their companies image and keep consistent to policy and such. A slip up every so often happens and that is totally understandable, but this stuff happens time and time again with Kabam. That is an issue.

    Do you agree?

On the one hand, I would agree with that statement. On the other hand, I'm unaware of any IT-related company of any size whose level one help desk I would say isn't a complete dumpster fire. At least Kabam hasn't asked me to reinstall Windows on my iPhone yet.
