I think people mistake random for homogeneous distribution but it doesn't mean you will pull one of everything. Just the opposite. Random means without any particular method or preset pattern.

Complete garbage! 20 of 30 from the alliance bought units which came along with crystals… 2 each on average. After it was all said and done only 1 4* came out of 50-60 crystals and the rest were 3*. This is why I don’t spend my money on the game anymore after spending $100 per week for 6 months straight. I don’t and won’t and after seeing this I will never until I get something I want which has yet to happen. Out of all of my 5* & 6* champs a 5* Void & Iceman is all I have to show. All my other champs majority rank in everyone’s bottom 2 tiers. Kabam is losing players with more to come at this rate.

Yeah about that. I can't see them losing free to play players because of the value in cash offers, and probably 70% to 80% of most mobile game players are F2P. I can't see the spenders quitting, literally. The game made $250 million last year, which means I literally can't see a material number of spenders dropping out. Maybe there are a tiny few people who feel compelled to spend and yet constantly complain about what they are buying that are eventually quitting, but I suspect more people quit the game every day just because they get bored than quit in a week because of that. And I also suspect more people join the game in an hour than quit over the value of cash offers in a month.

My Cav pulls, up to now.... 1/10 = 5*...no 6*.

The thing about random to me it's correct. Every champ has an equal chance of dropping. The deciding factor as to what champ you pull is in the pool of champ available per crystal opening. The pool won't contain all the 150+ champs neither all the latest or "god tier" champs. This they will not leave it to chance or random. They definitely will modify or personalized the pool of champs for a given crystal opening. Once that is done, whatever you pull from that pool is random.

Champs I would not have if not for cavalier crystals

    -Havok
    -Emma Frost
    -NF
    -Warlock
    -omega red x2
And so on. Have pulled 6* too but nothing great. But good arena fodder.

Not to mention the max rank 3* and 4* that I now have also. And I have never spent real dollars on them either.

Overall it’s a gamble. If you choose to spend money on that gamble then that’s on you. You don’t get better odds just because you used money though. You don’t need to spend money on them though.

Well said, no need to spend real money. A gamble, it either go well or no.
