Do you think Kabam should remove the sell option permanently?

I believe there is no sell option for 5 and 6 stars except in dire situations. But I feel there should no longer be a sell option for all 1 to 4 stars champions so earlier players who join the contest avoid making such mistakes because it's beneficial to get more sigs and get max sig crystals. I made a poll on this. Do you believe the sell option for all champions of every star should be removed?

There never is a crucial need to get shards really fast, and the other benefits can be farmed in under an hour. I would say yeah, disable selling.

Generally I don’t like suggestions like this, but I can’t think of much of a reason why not.

It’s a trap and in the long term does not serve a good purpose in the benefit of the player anymore with the built in need for a diverse roster of rarity these days.

Legitimately curious to see why some do not think removing it is a good idea. This isn’t me picking a fight or anything, I’m just curious what some of the cons of its removal I am overlooking.

Everyone should be free to manage their accounts as they see fit. The minute you start giving kabam the freedom to place limits on you they won’t stop. Next thing you know you won’t be able to sell catalyst or iso or anything at all. Don’t start down this slippery slope

    They already limited crutial things.

Selling champions shouldn't be a thing, beginners may not know how serious their champs may be in later content.

The thing is, it’s not your account and Kabam owns it hahah
    You know what I mean

They should because beginners most of the time have no idea they are going to need 1 start for future and they sell them sometimes and also it's time 1 stars are made available bit more thn just that crystals which says 20%chance

I know the risks of selling things, but that doesn't mean I won't risk it

Empowerment to player is always welcomed.

The only thing that I can think of (purely guess) is that selling restriction is to avoid alliance to manipulate their rating. Some alliances really did so by selling all 1/2/3 stars before. I don't know if this strategy is still meaningful nowadays.

Nonetheless, the restriction maybe just inherit as well. Just like no 5* War Machines but there is 6* version.

I agree with @Wakandas_Finest. I've sold 4* Joe Fixit at least 4 times. He's max sig now but I still want the option to sell him lol.

I think the choice should be there if they want to sell the champ they should be allowed to it’s freedom of choice

Absolutely yes. No reason for it even being there.

Learn the implications of your actions in game before doing them. One person shouldn’t be limited in their options based on another’s opinion.

Surely it's better to let people have more control over their account? If they make mistakes, like we all do, they learn from them.

For one there’s 0 benefit to selling champs. I have no sympathy for experienced players who do it.

However, for new players who have just pulled 2* Hulk and think, well I don’t need the 1* now do I, not knowing that 6-12 months down the line they’re actually going to need that 1* champion for Variant 4.

Up until the point of Variant 4, I feel that selling Champions was part of the newcomers’ learning curve. Hopefully like me, they liked the idea of collecting more champions at all rarities and by the time they thought about it they knew better. Up until Variant 4 it didn’t matter, now it’s potentially a 6000 unit road block if you’re unlucky with those crystals, or you have to go what’s effectively a LoL path.

The 1* hulk, while worthy of scorn for those who sold doesnt take into account that we could only hold one champ from each class for a very long time, if spidey was your favorite champ then you are out of luck much later in your progression.

Whats to say a future variant doesnt have a node that favors a 1* spidey?

I'd love to be able to sell 5*

I have multiple friends sell one stars because they weren't aware of V4. A lot of beginners sell champion without knowing how damaging it potentially could be.

No I’ll sell 3* if I’m really close to a 4* and need iso
Removing the option for 4* 2* and 1* maybe sure

Why in the world would they make selling exclusive to 3*s only?

I’m hearing a lot of people giving philosophical reasons why not, which makes sense, yeah control is nice, but what are some practical benefits to selling? Again, shards aren’t hard to get, worst case scenario you have to wait until the next EQ to get your shards. I see people saying it gives them the option to chose, but chose what? To screw themselves over in the long run and get a small chunk of goodies now or to not sell at all? I’m still very confused. What benefits do you REALLY get from selling them?
