Well, i mean if your alliance has no worries in spending, then sure do it. I mean if you just place mini-bosses and boss, the other alliance will have 10 players at full health to take those nodes, whereas you would have to first defeat all the other nodes, then the mini-boss and then the boss too. You would HAVE to explore it 100% every time.

Although in higher tiers, people already did 100% so this could be the case. Defender ratings, and by the sound of it, diversity points are nowhere near the attacker kills points.

We don't know the numbers yet. Might be worth, might not be.
Maybe they really increased attack kills points, and it would work, otherwise it wouldn't

I think miike was saying you will miss out on points for defensive rating. And points for defenders placed

You are correct, however, if attack points are higher than defender diversity and rating it won't matter.

Yeah we just need the numbers to know

If you looked at the announcements, it looks like you get significant points from attacker kills, and only a small amount of points from defense diversity. So I would not want to place a lot of defense then. Im not sure though how much the points is for defensive rating. But it really seems, scoring will now be more focused on attacker kills.

Points will be scored by taking node. If no defender still het points. Like if there was no boss im old aw still got 20k points

No. They said kill points in attack will be the major part of the points. Exploration is taking nodes, attack kill points is defeating a defender.
    Two different things

Mcord is correct. Taking the node is considered attack/kill points. So if you place no one your opponent will still get the points for clearing that spot on the board. This is how it has always worked.

Nope. I have fought against alliance that placed no defenders, and when you go through a node empty, it doesn't count you a kill.

to elaborate, in AW 1.0, attacker kills = 50 points, tile exploration = 450 points

You are correct, however they mentioned they will increase the amount of attack points. So this could be a win for our wallets if alliances start agreeing to place no defense.

How can you agree? They removed who you're facing before the attack phase starts, since people were having fun with 2* wars and some were lied to causing them to lose badly.

Basically the same way they agree now. Schedule your matchmaking.

Let's not talk about this in here please, they will close the thread if they see that is in discussion

That does not mean we should not discuss it though. If they want another strike keep it up Kabam! Freedom of speech does not exist in this forum, unless it gives Kabam 5 star rating

    Hey All,

So, you can definitely decide not to place Defenders, but this isn't new. This is something that's been possible for a while, and has been tried multiple times. It usually doesn't go well. Remember that you still get points for Defender Rating, and now, Defender Diversity.
WOW! Are you kidding right now? Why it wasn't done before vs why it is now is simply because of defender kills being worth points. Not sure how your answer pleases the community or gives an answer to the frustration.

There is a major difference now, though. You used to get points when the champs you placed got kills. Now you don't.

Uhm....sure you were able to place no defenders in the previous aw but that would result in a guaranteed loss.

Now it works one of two ways.

You place the strongest D possible which is what aw was in a previous life and hope your opponent places 3 full or close to full bgs. If they do place a full D then it is the same as before. May the best clan win. If they place 0 defenders and 100% explore each bg you lose.

Place a "diverse" D to make sure you do not lose to those that do not place. Best case they do not place and your diversity points result in a win. Worst case you end up facing someone who placed a strong D. Now they get to walk through your "diverse" D and you have to try to match them vs their best D.
