Do You un-star Threads?

Incase you're confused, I'm asking about the star at the top right of the screen (mobile version) that you use to get notified when there is a new comment. I want to know if you turn the star off when you don't want to see any more of a certain thread, or if you're lazy like me and have about 2000 starred threads.

I get notified whenever someone comments on a thread that either I started or commented on so I only star the important threads like the meme thread.

I only have notifications for pms and people talking on my threads. I bookmark threads very occasionally if it's someone asking a question I have that I don't want to not get. I also have the change log perma starred

Can you make it so you get notifications for when someone replies to your post? Without having to star it cause that notifies for any comment

I should have put sometimes. I only star threads I want to keep track of, or to have stored for reference for something. I’m very sparing with stars on threads that aren’t my own
