    It's just a maybe but Magneto was part of the 'New Mutants' as a trainer back in 1985 or something like that if I'm not mistaken..before it got renamed to x-force in the early 1990s.

    This was a terrible clue.

    Not one of those champs was rescued from a dying universe, and only one comes from the future.

    Unlike, say Bishop and Cable coming from the future; Annihilus coming from a parallel dimension, and Hyperion, who genuinely comes from another universe...

    Guessed Kree, or maybe Heralds (dying worlds).
    Then was guessing all those heroes that “initially” died because of Thanos in Infiniy War / End Game, but who were later “saved”.

    Or something like THIS universe (instead of other universes), but from a distant future as the universe begins to die out (aka, Doctor Who and the Master from the End of the Universe).
