the masteries don't affect the total base rating though.. right?
Masteries increase Hero Rating hence increase Total Base Hero Rating
They do not. Total base hero rating is just that. The base rating before masterys.
@phil56201 Isn't total rating the sum of single champion ratings? so If masteries increase champ rating then total must also increase? I'm confused

It’s built on the added prestige of every champion in your roster. The leaderboard would be impractical - not that I suppose anyone other than the top 20 or so pay much attention - because it’d fluctuate wildly every time you chuck on suicides and with 600 champions your rating would end up changing by nearly 10% each time you put them on so it’d be very difficult to see who‘a actually on top.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play throughout this month.... I'm completely free to play, been playing since 2015. Been taking breaks in between because of school, really started playing regularly when quarantine started. Lost my account for a bit at some point too, lol

I have a R3 6* Killmonger, he just doesn’t show in the profile. Playing 3 years next month. All content but Abyss done
Progressed a decent chunk. Most of my progression isn’t shown here. Completed abyss in the period and probably gotten another 7/8+ R5’s. Got a 6* Ægon waiting in the wings for the R3 once I get the last 12k fragments of the Skill T5CC. Also have a cosmic T5CC waiting to be used. Saving all my 6* shards for the next featured. Hoping Red Goblin and CGR are as good as they look on paper
