Healblock on all sidequests are BS

The healblock on recursion sidequests prejudice players.

Large investment of around 10k units is used to unlock suicide masteries with willpower etc.

Having this investment negated in every avenue of Octobers sidequest seems a deliberate ploy to prejudice players and force more unit spend through mastery reworks.

One or two paths would be acceptable but every path at every stage appears to be an exploitation

You knew what you were getting into when you ran suicides, not to mention there are dual immune champs that won’t need to heal when running suicides.

In what other mode of gameplay is this prejudiced in every chapter and every path? I have completed act 6 and there is varied paths not same hurdle at every corner.
Act 6 has many more opponents per path. This is only 3 per path plus a boss! With 3 attackers, this isn't difficult, even with heal block. It all comes down to whether you have the right roster for the level you choose to play.

If this is such a big deal what do you do everywhere else? It's not like heal block, heal reverse, and heal prevention aren't common as dirt. Are you trying to force square pegs into every hole and getting mad that they don't fit everywhere all the time? Why aren't you reading the paths and using immune champs for that matter?

Running full suicides and no issues in completing it without spending units. And i don't even consider myself as a good player compared to others.

I run suicides and the health you lose matters very very little in this quest. There are a bunch of suicide friendly champs that hardly take any damage from suicides.
I still find it annoying. But it is far from needed to switch masteries for this event, since there are only 4 fights per path.

I agree it was annoying to have the heal block but if you invest in suicides you need to invest in good suicide friendly champs to go with it. Warlock was amazing at clearing the lanes with no penalty and you take a 2man team for the boss or just 1 with synergy or warlock again.

I suppose the counter to the healblock is 0 energy cost so you could restart as many times as you like

i just used Claire nick and warlock everywhere, running suicides but its just 4 fights

The heal block was annoying since I like to use Colossus and run suicides, but I changed up my squad and ran Guilly2099/Warlock and another champ for some paths. The power gain they get from synergy is no joke.

For the shock and coldsnap paths, I would often use the poison immunity boost with Colossus/Doom/Thing to keep my health up. The unstoppable was easy enough to play around.

I realize it was easier because I could pull any immunity off the shelf, but that's where the game is. You either need really good skilz or the right counter for a lot of content.

It was a sucky event for suicide users, but I refused to switch. I used BWCV and Ghost for the whole thing and got it done without the need for items.

Anyone choosing to unlock and put on suicide masteries should be aware of the various downsides.

On the bright side, it could have been worse. What if it was Kinetic Transference or Mighty Dash?

Even so, the frustration from having to fight through Heal Block global is valid. I'm on full suicides and experienced some difficulty in doing fights in the side event where Ghost isn't effective. In any case, I just farmed a good amount of potions, adjusted my team and playstyle, used a few L1 revives from the 22hr events, and got it done.

Without healblock these debuffs are initially so small that you’re going to net gain in Hp unless you’re really aggressive. There’s a few 6.4 lanes in them and you can pretty much ignore it until you get over 5 debuffs on you as long as you have willpower

I dont find it that difficult if you rely on your heal every fight uts is more that the heal is carrying you so what should be the target is to not get hit, immunity, and defeating the opponents and if you want to avoid the extra damage take off suicides for a bit and who says you have to do the quest.

It was annoying but doable. If you run suicides you probably have Omega Red or Ghost, both of whom can do a great deal in the quest.

NF> Parry (not necessary) > heavy > get rid of the heal block. NF ain’t immune to a lot of debuffs, but he can deal lot of damage + he’s fun to use, at least imo.

The heal block was my biggest gripe but I got around it. I used a combination of OR, BWCV, Warlock and a 4* ghost to clear it all

although i went through it itemless i agree with the heal block sentiment. on one or two paths sure but the entire quest was a bit much. it wasn't difficult. it was just kinda cheesy to add that global heal block.
