From my testing so far, he feels like a mix of BWDO and Ronin. I like his new animations and rotations a lot, he feels quite free to play (no complicated rotations or anything)
One thing I do not like is that special intercepting does not guarantee crits if you use your special straight after dexing their dash, it's only if you hit the special button as they actually dash in, which is much more tricky and risky to pull off.
Obviously will have to test much further, but that's my initial opinion.
He definitely needs the opponent to be aggressive. Without that he is frustrating to play. But other then that I find in pretty good. Not moleman or Cb level but up there.
New animations are cool. Good PI adjust and the playstyle is easier than expected (when it comes to maintaining those cruelties). Haven't played much but really liked him so far.
at first play, he's a huge improvement ... tricky play style though ... the Skill class has definitely seen a 180 degree turn of late .. excellent upgrade to BP imo
karatemike posted a pre-buff and post-buff video against winter soldier.
pre-buff 0:59 58 hits
post-buff 1:46 82 hits
"buff".
i like his new utility but seems they could have added that on without reducing his damage and it wouldn't break the game or anything, not like he'd become the skill Nick Fury or whatever
May have missed this, but did his synergy with Tigra get changed?
Dr. Zola
Yea it got changed unfortunately. I like his new utility a lot but dont understand why they had to nerf his damage by changing the tigra synergy to something thats pretty useless imo. His damage is pretty bad without any synergies right now but maybe thatll change over time with more practice with optimal playstyle
I really enjoyed it. Without really understanding how he was used I took my rank 3 5* against ROL winter soldier. Didn`t have the jubari synergy but did take, storm x, bpcw, hulkbuster and tigra with me. downed him in 145 hits. And the whole fight felt really smooth. And I enjoyed it a lot. Will certainly use my 3-4 gem from variant on him. Maybe even r5 him eventually.
Annoyingly, he needs to be sig 200 to get 100% DAAR, which really devalues him as a 6*. I mean you’ve gotta be top in the class to deserve sig stones at the moment.
From my initial tests, I really like it because it rewards skill. At some point, we all have to become decent at intercepting, and some characters reward that more than others
I also like the revamped animations and added utility
I do not necessarily judge reworks on the same criteria as others. I look at what was there before and what’s there now. For me, with the added synergies as well, this is a great buff that makes a character I never used anymore fun to play and one I will use on questing teams

I agree, he seems really fun to play, but I can’t see myself investing in my unduped 6*. He feels like he needs to be sig 200 or close to it, so I’m more likely to rank up my sig 140 5* as a fun champion.
I think anyone expecting him to be a top champion who is breaking the game with how good they are will be disappointed. I’m happy he’s definitely improved.

I agree — the kit doesn’t shake up the meta. There are limits to what you can do and I wouldn’t even try to use it on a bleed immune opponent
But to me...it’s Black Panther. Not a Thor, or Herald of Galactus. To me, the kit should only be so good, right? There should be strengths and weaknesses with a kit for a character like this
I agree: Rank up the 5-star and shred things for fun — and you will absolutely be able to do that because my once-duped 3/45 feels really good, so that Sig 140 of yours will feel amazing
