As it stands, the only place to Grind for a new 3* is to put up 6 Mil, and I'm willing to venture the people who need the 3*s are not capable of that.
I used to be able to get the 3 star every time with my 3 star roster in a single run. That's right, a single run. I'm currently struggling at 4.3 mm points on the featured 6 star. I don't see it happening by the end tomorrow.

I get it. I have an extensive Roster so I can Grind the 3* easily. I enjoyed getting a new version of the Champ to try out. Now I can do it, but it's a great deal more time and effort. I can't help but think of newer Players who don't have a chance. I'm going as far as the 4* and that's about it.
I don't really understand the logic behind the move from a business standpoint. I'll stop pretending this is anything but a move to limit free unit gain -- but for what reason?
It's not like Kabam has less data than the players, but the players figured out the math immediately after the release. Kabam knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, it just doesn't make fiscal sense.
People who don't spend, won't. Cutting out their unit gain will only chase them to other games. It'll also chase away a lot of moderate spenders who were using the arena to square-up their limited spending. You can't manipulate people this easily.
Not to be that guy, but we really don't have any evidence that it's some kind of move against FTP. That's just speculation. I'm not saying people have to like the changes, but that bit was added by Players and YouTubers.

Isn't being 'that guy' kinda your whole thing though? Lol. I thought it was a point of pride.
Anyways, yeah. No company in their right mind would admit to something like that. I'd never expect them to. Sometimes things need to be nerfed, and the methods and language used must mitigate negative reactions to said nerf. It's the smart business move.
Free unit gain didn't need to be nerfed, though. I assume Kabam is a company staffed with people. People who are capable of math and general logic. If thousands of players can do the math minutes after the release, then Kabam sure as heck should be able to do the same with their larger data set.
To assume less is to believe that Kabam is staffed by..., well, I'd rather believe this was intentional. Still a terrible move, but a calculated one.
The only thing we can do is never settle, and never stop squeaking those wheels.
You can't assume that was intentional. They tried a new Arena format. Safe to say it's not going over well. Which I'm sure is blatantly clear to them at this point. You can clearly see this affects a certain group of Players, but you can't say it was intentional. This whole nefarious suspicion is as old as the game is. "Well, they switched the Arena on a Thursday, and Thursday is Thor's Day and they nerfed Thor, so it's a middle finger to anyone that Ranked him." It's just conjecture. They're not out to get any demographic of Players. That doesn't mean I agree with every decision. That just means I don't believe they're attacking anyone.
What I will say, as I've predicted a number of times before, is when you keep one group of Players in mind while making decisions that affect most Players, you end up alienating a good number of others. I've commented on that many times. A good portion of the player base was enjoying Grinding and farming, and making the Arenas appeal to the top of the top can't come at the expense of others. You see a similar situation happening in War.
We will see when arena scores land later and get feel for How many people ‘Did not bother’ with new arena.
A lot of ppl will bother first couple rounds, for testing reasons, or even because is new.. But for those that the main reason of doing arena is units for milestones then interest will decline over time, but curious of that myself nevertheless
Grounded wisdom you don't think this was intentional give me a break they keep the milestone information secret until they go live but already have a feedback thread in place to gauge the lvl of the community outrage wake up they already have the fix ready to go they are just seeing how much they can get a way with they have done this before and they are doing it again
I know this is few and far between, but I got the featured 4* [purely for collection purposes as I won't use it] in a much shorter time being able to use my 6*'s, and also the safety guarantee that it was available as a milestone. I didn't have to chase an imaginary score, with the possibility of missing out.
I don't have the time to go for 5*'s as my QoL would definitely be effected having to put up them kinds of numbers, that was the same in the old arenas too.
We will see when arena scores land later and get feel for How many people ‘Did not bother’ with new arena.
It will be very high for sure, and it is a well known thing, nobody argues with it. Like billionaire gets richer in crisis time while normal people get hit hard.
We will see when arena scores land later and get feel for How many people ‘Did not bother’ with new arena.
Arena scores don't land though do they, that is by far the main issue I have, and have always had, with arenas.
There is absolutely no transparency on the arena final standings, and we are supposed to just accept whatever goes on behind the scenes. Within reason, this gives Kabam free reign to do whatever they want with the final positions and who gets what.
I know there are many tally charts online, collating scores and positions of anyone who wants to give out that info. But again, that is nothing other than guess work based on the questionable legitimacy of whoever decides to submit their scores and rewards.
Its the free units being harder to get is what has everyone up in arms... be it from less arena's & higher milestones.
To gain units you have to pay in time or money.
All these people paying in time feel like they just got a major demotion in MCOC in their hourly mcoc arena wages
What you need to be looking at kabam is. If
X = old milestones Y = new arena's sweet spot. Variables = arena,roster,time,units.
#1. (Arenas • roster = time) + units = Y
#2. X = Y?
#3. If not. What variables needs to change for X = Y
In other words. How much units should people be getting for how much time? You need to look at previous data at the time people spend grinding arena's in relation to their rosters. For x ammount of units.
You just need to figure out how much time is acceptable for x units. That you & your playerbase are comfortable with.
On one hand if units are too easy to get. Why buy them?
On the other hand if you make them too hard to get you anger your free to play player base.

Yes. Right after that they're going to look for "moose and squirrel" and tie them to the railroad tracks.
Well Raven isn't wrong. And Miike talking like they're going to just let this new arena ride for a little while before even making a change is even more concerning. There's plenty of people (myself included) that are waiting eagerly for some sort of change to this absolute disaster and I can't speak for everyone but I know I'm only willing to wait for so long for a fix before I'll say screw it and walk away. I mean they're already having people call it quits.

No, he is wrong. There is absolutley no evidence to support this being an intentional barrier towards anyone, or any kind of attack on FTP. I'm sorry, but people are creating a conspiracy. I'm not any more pleased about some aspects as the next guy, but Miike wasn't being dishonest when he said they need to collect data. In order to make any adjustments, they need internal data to go on as well as feedback from Players. Just because they didn't pull an emergency brake and revert the old Arenas doesn't mean they're up to anything deceptive.
They want to switch up arena's so They have to let a little time pass.
Or they wont have enough data on the new system for a more concise visual of what variables they need to adjust to make it more in tune with the playerbase/old system.
They do have a feed back section running. Common sense tells me they hear everyone loud and clear.

Need to collect data? They have all the data they need. They always have the data they ain't dumb, they are testing what they can get away with. How many times have we been told Kabam was going to be transparent with us? Alot and yet nobody knew any info on the milestones till the arena dropped. So much for transparency.

I'm sorry what!? 😆😆 what exactly does this have to do with Fox news? Do you even think before commenting? There's plenty of data that could have been used based on the original arena setup to look at rounds taken to complete all milestones. Time to hit all milestones and Kabam knows just as much as we do how many points the champs go for no matter the rariety. They put this new arena out because it's what they wanted. They put something out that even a person that doesn't play this game could take one look at and see that it is, without a doubt, worse than what we already had. So obviously Kabam knew what they were doing. This all boils down to increase the revenue.
And please do us all a favor. Next time think before speaking. The ability to speak, or in this case type, does not equal intelligence.

The comment about Fox News was a reference to some of the conjecture that's been posted on YouTube. Just because someone says it doesn't mean it's true. Thought that was implied but apparently the ability to speak does not equal intelligence. They cannot change and adjust the current Arena setup based on previous data. If they were simply going to revert, they would have done that. They need the numbers to see who is scoring what, how many are Grinding, etc. Then they can start to look at what is feasible in order to accommodate as many people as possible. For that you need the data from THIS Arena format.
Its a beta launch on a new system that they are hard testing using players feedback.
We can get all conspiratorial. But im betting its just a sloppy release.
Where they went wrong is they should state in advance its a soft release that they want everyones feedback on... with ingame notices before the launch.... not after & only on forums
It seems top 100 on feature was below 100m..place 55 was Kt1 and made 145 and if I am not mistaken maex with 105m was 75 so I would guess lower or very close to 100m

They know the cutoffs for each champion don't they? Excluding the 6* of course. They know what the milestones used to run for and how much time we spent in arenas. They also knew adding 6*s to the 5* arena would inflate the scores. And again where is the transparency? We had zero info on the milestones until the arenas dropped.
