These arenas suck .... I have no other words it's really discouraging if no change I consider quitting because it was just a waste of time the arena was boring but you were doing it for some reason something specific apart from the 5 * featured everything was wasted bravo kabam
these matchups and ridiculous milestone rewards. If you want a good suggestion I recommend adding teir systems for arenas. Like thronebreakers get one ,Cavaliers their own, and uncollected get one too. That way when I grind out I dont end up getting stinky rewards cause every person stronger than me does better.
These new arenas still suck. Spending more time with them hasn't changed my initial thoughts that were obvious even before playing. I do not get as many units (which I suspect was your intent all along) and the effort is much more than before. The difficulty of the fights is increased a lot because I don't have a ton of r5 5* and only 1 r2 6* and 6 or 7 r1 6*.
The only people the new arenas seem good for are people with huge rosters of 6* champs. I don't believe for a second, based on the way they have treated this thread, that Kabam cares about us or our opinions and experiences. They seem intent on just ignoring us and probably have no intention of changing things to our benefit.
The new arenas turned the 3* champs kinda obsolete. I'm cavalier, and I used from time to time to play the old 3* one for fun and a few extra units when I needed them and didn't want to spend money on units. I do spend some money for daily offers or special offers from time to time though.
And, my thought about the 3* champs situation was, let's say the arenas stay like they are now, but with better and more approachable milestones. IF that happens, there s also a need to change the arena boost crystals. I don't know what to do with 3* boosts anymore, and there's a LOT of them in the crystals. We really don't want another Unst. Colossus situation, if you "upgrade" something, do that also for the crystals that comes with.
Ok I am back, now this is personally all me and haven’t taken the time to read everything here son it sure if anyone mention anything similar or not, my issue is with the rewards 50mil points and 131mil points should not have the same rank rewards that needs to be address and from what I am hearing it is not and Kabam just going to continue to hose everyone from a developing player and someone with a deep enough roster like myself.
Personally I am getting more units and more 6* shards from arena - which is great but they are still fundamentally broken.
Even 5* champs (I have 170) now feel really worthless in arena as so few points towards large milestones. And I can’t believe anyone would use 4* in these arena.

Actually the Sunday arena is a very good example of how Arena's could be. The trials for 1/2/3 stars the basic for 4/5 stars the featured for 4/5/6 stars
Multiply the trials by 3 based on the sunday arena. 750.000 points. Requires 47 rounds with 3* maxed but 2 stars couls still be used in the streak
Multiply the basic by 4 for a total of 6.000.000 points. Requires 55 rounds with maxed 5 stars and 4 stars could still be used.
Multiply the featured by 5 for a total of 12.500.000 points which requires 60 rounds with r2 6* champs. And 5 stars can still be used to fill up some teams.
The only drawback is that 4 stars don`t really have a great place. But since 4* champs require the same resources as 5* champs a lot of players would prefer to level their 3* champs instead of their 4* champs to create arena teams.
So Kabam just to recap, regardless of which direction you are trying to take the game, whether you bring old arenas back or change the way units earnt and spent, the overwhelming consensus is this situation needs to be fixed. Otherwise you will lose a good portion of your player base
I’m Thronebreaker with a pretty large roster (107 6*) so I dont mind the new arenas as milestones are two runs through my champs. I can certainly see why many would be upset as 12 million was difficult to reach without a large number of 6*. Now to jump that number when 6* are still difficult to acquire for any arena that was not dedicated to Thronebreaker makes absolutely no sense.
My request is that they eliminate the stupid 1-4* arena for Thronebreaker and a 3rd big dog arena where the Top 100 got 10k 6* shards. If you have created an arena structure for the top players in the game, then make as badass as you can. Anyone not Thronebreaker should get the old arena back.
When I first started playing, I used to play arena daily because it helped me get the champs that I wanted. Let’s fast forward a few years and add in the update. When I first read about the update I thought this would be a good step forward. Now that I am looking at the milestones, I find myself wondering what did you all think you were going to achieve with this. My main account has a nice amount of 5* but very few 6*. That means that it allows me to get some milestone but not all unless I use a lot of arena boosters. Take my account off of the table and I can tell this is not friendly towards newer accounts. It was nice that you all added a summoner trial, but it does not make up for the new milestones. A 3* champ is now 1.5 mil when in the past I am sure it was less. I remember convincing a friend to play arena because the payout was reasonable. Now my friend will not even look at the arena. I know there are a lot of members in our alliance that will not touch arena because they don’t want to do that much grinding.
I get that there is a promise of better champs in the grandmaster crystal, but it does not justify the high milestones. I find myself nowadays pulling away from arena since I don’t want to feel like I am giving my all for nothing. If anything, I like the ideas that others mentioned. It was good to hear having set arenas for people that are at different levels in the game. The only accounts that can breeze through the milestone have a high amount of 6* champs and probably use a lot of boosters.
You all said arena was supposed to help lower accounts out, but all I am seeing is you all still helping out the accounts that are doing fine. It would be nice to go with the suggestions that people mentioned, in regard to different arenas for different levels or decreasing the milestone. Even though grandmaster gives 5* champs, a person will pull more 3* than they will 5*, and that is looking at your drop rate and me personally opening the crystals.
I have 70 6* and I can get the milestones, but the time investment is so much greater that it’s a drain. Arena is not FUN and the wholepoint of doing it is even more a drain. I just want the milestones/units at the point cap it used to be. Sigil/4th/blackfriday. not feeling rewarding at all anymore. I can’t justify spending. It doesn’t make any sense. I’m not quiting, I’m just playing 70% less. The arena changes is having a bad domino effect on me. I think for others aswell

It’s also more iso from better crystal pulls and access to basic 4-star champs when I don’t have one or want to awaken one.
I think I said before that it’s a little bit like the botched Hood buff. The people who were invested in the original setup had the rug yanked out from underneath them. Some changes may make the new system more rewarding overall in a vacuum, but they aren’t enough to entice new players to arena, so really almost no one benefits. Meanwhile, the ones who relied on arena for specific things (mostly units) now have a much worse time doing that.
Overall, the changes were misguided and hurt the players who were most active in this game mode, and that should’ve been clear in planning.
So glad they taking time to not just cause more issues

People disagree with everything. Even if said the Sun is yellow people would disagree cause they can.

This is absolutely correct. It makes the meaningful arenas almost 100% 6*-dependent and puts a huge gap between beginner level and advanced level with nothing in between. It’s like the back issues only having classic and variant options. One too easy. One impossibly difficult for the average player.
I stopped using anything but 6*s in arena awhile ago so I don't really care. I rarely do more than 6 million. But I hope they bring back the other arenas for the people who like them.
So where would we like to discuss cutting longtime, cash paying, investe, summoners players customers or whatecer you want to call us, almost completely out of arenas. It was bad enough when we got stuck with one and 2 * champions unable to unload them in exchange for resources or trade them up for Crystal shards. But now apparently I have to complete story quests that I dont have the champions to compete in for arenas to be available to me again. I've been playing this game and spending money on it for years and waiting years to accumulate hard and slow to aquire resources and now you go and pull this. Do you realize how many players you have basically cut out of the game as usual thanks for nothing
I hit thronebreaker a month ago. I have around 45 6 stars. I’ve played this game for 3 years and always played arena. I’ve also spent some on the game. If i wanted to i could spend 10 hours on every arena to hit all the milestones but thats not what i want. Arena for me was a place were my lower stars had a purpose. I ranked up all of my 2 stars and always played the 2 star arena because it was relaxing and fun. It motivated me to keep playing the game. Now the arena is just about stress and it makes me question my commitment to this game constantly. Please Kabam, i don’t want to quit this game, but unless the arena changes to the chill and fun experience it was previosly, i will.
So after taking a break from doing arena I've been doing 1 arena a per cycle to see how the new milestones and stuff feels.
It's still a grind.
What I like: 3* & 4* champs as milestones. Not useful for me since I've progressed beyond the point where 3 & 4*'s are useful. GMC Shards. Increased number of units available per arena.
What I don't like: The increase in the points required for the top milestone. I'm a pick 1 arena and stick with it kind of player so hitting all milestones was easy, but now with the increase to hit the top milestone it's even more tedious then it was.
Death Matches are still a thing. It's not fun going in with 5* R2's and getting a match up against 6* r3's. I want to get in and out of arena's as fast as possible.
The 5* champ is not a milestone so it's still a risky, time intensive, gamble.
If I did want to do multiple arena's it would be an even worse time sink. 33M to hit all milestones trying to use the same champs would be painful.
Suggestions/Thoughts:
Compress the milestone rewards to 12M and create a new milestone - say 55M for a 5* Champ in basic, 75m for feature. This top milestone is for the champ only so unit, battle chip grinders don't feel a need to go past the milestones.
Are you kidding me. What is the point of these other champs now? 6 million to get a featured 3*! I play to collect these champs to have fun. Now it costs a ton of time to get a useless champ. This was an epic fail. When your whales have noone to play against what will you do then? Screw everyone else. Not sure why I still play. But, this is why I don't spend money anymore because that's all you want is money.
