Take everyone's total above and add them together. With the bug, the game lagging, and not timing the beam perfectly right..a ton. Don't go in before the bug is fixed. It makes a few of the challenges not take and the glitch even ignores inputs. Once the bug is fixed, it all about the beam. Honestly, if you can not get hit by the beam, it is pretty easy....but I stink, so beam = 4 oh craps. I am no where near a t5cc, so shoulda waited but got antsy one evening.
I rushed grandmaster. Close to 1000 for me, wasn’t skilled enough but I got through it. It really depends on your skill, awesome fight regardless I still had fun with it
Don't do the path that let's you save up 10 of the charges at the detriment that you lose at 3 charges against you. I did that path and it cost me a lot because everytime you get clipped by the sp1, you die because he gets sp3. Very annoying. Used more revives than I want to admit.
2 lvl1 team revives from insider. These both were used for first phase 100-80%, was just confused what to do. And then, 7 lvl2 single revives for rest of the fight.
So 0 units.
Edit: Cleared it the week the content was released.
I like the honesty from those who recognise their skill wasn't up to par and it cost them. I also appreciate seeing those who did it with minimal revives as well but I have nothing in common with those guys haha.
I can definitely relate to the first group, I can't remember my spend but I don't think it was anywhere near what I blew to beat The Champion.
2000 on just the Grandmaster only got him down with my last champ standing Prof X and no units/revives left.` Unitman was the mvp in this fight for me, the fight is too chaotic for me, could not keep track of everything so could never get him to his failstate, and without failstate 10m hp is a lot.... For me Grandmaster is the worst fight there is
If you are skilled then you can solo the guy. But I averaged around 500 units worth of items per path. So this includes all the fights, not just the GM. And some lanes it was close to 300, but that would depend on your roster to easily clear the lanes
And during the GM fight, most of my revives were team revives. No point in buying single revives since there is no specific counter for GM so you can use all champs, and its cheaper than throwing one revive on a single champ every single time
Totally agree with this.
Even if you've brought one main champ (like Aegon) and four support Acts (preferably including Heimdall, if you have him), this is a really tricky fight and you may as well use the other four champs for practice, to Skill Up a bit faster.
If its your first time Id say about 2000. If you have alot of items saved you can calculate less unit by the cost to get a rough figure of what you need. You will burn alot learning the fight is why first run is costly.
I did it yesterday costed me 1900 units. Parry n Dex was very evident during the fight. But the temptations to complete it made me pay the cost. Personally I had 2500 units, so to answer the op question, have around 2000 units. I am an average player no mad skills btw, it's a game I play in leisure.
Units: 0 Team revives: 5 Single revives: 3 (all revives had been hoarded beforehand)
Team used: Doom, NF, BWCV, Prof X, Colossus. (path cleared by Doom & BWCV. Doom did Annihilus and Aarkus, Claire did the rest) Prof X was just thrown in to the team for the 3rd phase of GM which definitely helped but during the second phase he suffered as the only champ in my team unable to place any secondary damage.
1st single revive used on the path after Annihilus KOd my Doom
1st team revive used after KOing all 5 of my champs during the first 1% of GM while trying to get a feel for him. 2 more team revives used during GMs 2nd phase. 2 more team revives used during GMs 3rd phase plus one single revive (when he was down to just 5% health remaining I chose to just revive Prof X) 1 more revive for final phase (made a mess of this with Prof X so revived Colossus for a bit more tankiness and got the KO)
Thought I'd post a bit of a detailed breakdown of where the revives were spent in case it helps anybody else plan for their fight.
Used 600-700 units fought gm 2 days ago First phase no revive used Second 3-4 team revives single revives (can't remember how much tho with a 5* r5 prof x) Last no revives Used bwcv mags prof x stealthy and cap iw
Well because I watched so many GM soloes when I wasn't even UC yet I was pretty confident in my knowledge of why certain things trigger, and I had Doom Hit-Monkey and Prof X which were perfect for the soloes, overall used 7 revives, which were from the compensation.
Way too much, all because I did it on a whim while dead tired and in a bad mood. Here's my cautionary tale of idiocy:
The main problem was that I tilted before even getting to the GM. Once there, I winged it. No videos watched. No prep work. I had the same feeling I have when I buy a Cav crystal out of frustration with the "I'll show you, game!" mentality. That is, I tilted while tilted. Double-tilt!
Anyways, only cost about all of my stash. Plus a few team revs. I had a big stash. It was big, and pretty, and then it was dead. I killed it. It was...Well, still had my 4-hr crystals, but my tilt reasoned I'd rather spend units than open hundreds of crystals.
Cool story bro, but I just want the info: Do your prep! Build a stash, watch some videos, get proper rest, and take the challenge in a good mood.
Do all that and you'll probably need no units. That said, it's always nice to have a few thousand for emergencies.
