Yeah hood is very enjoyable to play against opponents with or without buffs. The building up to about 20-30 hexes then dropping a heavy will basically kill anything. And you can build up more if needed.
Okay so i just tested GodGroot against a robot and based on the spotlight i honestly thought the s2 would be kinda weak! But boy was i wrong. Absolutely shredded off like 150k+ on a s2
Just tested this against DH in Abyss myself. My r1 (perhaps on his way to r3) did 17k per hit.
Hood is missing the 3 bullets charge after the sp2… Kabam removed when they put the fate seal back… now it is harder to charge bulllets… in my opinion very stupid move… he wouldn’t be broken with the 3 bullet charges… now it is very slow to build back the bullets… Come on Kabam!!! Really????
I really would like to know who is the brilliant mind that in Hood’s case thought “OK I will put the utility back as people requested, but I’m gonna take part of the fun away”.

Hood never had such an ability with his first buff?

Just why????
It's quite literally much easier to build back his bullet charges since he now has the Mole Man synergy (should have been in his base kit but my point stands). The only thing he lost was the hex vulnerability and that made it even harder to build bullet charges back since you spent 5 of them on that.

KG looks pretty damn good, seeing nice strong damage, decent utility increase and just as amazing regen as before. I really want to dupe my 6* and take him to R2.
Venompool looks like Venom 2.0 and a lot of fun. His buff mechanic is fun, his DOT is great, hits really hard (as a r3 5* I took off half of RoL Vision in 1 minute), I’m interested to see how his ramp up affects his use in content but he’s promising so far. He’s got similar utility to venom too with the spider evade counter, slightly less accessible but when duped you can alter the odds in your favour.
Hood is… well. I am not happy with Hood. I feel like he has a messy design, not very fun playstyle and a lot of flaws. Not to mention he’s bugged. I really don’t like the persistent bullet mechanic, means unless you bring synergies/fight buff heavy opponents you just lose all your sauce.
Almost all the YouTube vids on him at the moment are either full synergy teams, or one fight of winter soldier and then done. Then they show buff heavy match ups. I think he’s super flawed from a design standpoint. His phase is alright, but 2 reliable phases then a useless ability until you retrigger just isn’t enough for me. And dashing back as often as you need to, to supplement the sp2 isn’t for me. Unnecessary block damage right there.
He’s also looking a lot better for buff control since his fate seal is bugged, and refreshing on mediums instead of just heavy.
For the pros, he is a great buff control champ still (even after the bug is fixed), and I’m glad Kabam reverted the old hood buff and fixed what they shouldn’t have done, removing the fate seal.
But for me, Hood is not a great buff, which is unfortunate. I’m not even saying that from the “this champion isn’t broken enough for me as an endgame player to use” because I don’t really care how good a champion is as long as they’re fun and I can enjoy them. I ranked Psylocke, IMIW, Spidergwen, night thrasher etc for fun. Not because they’re the absolute broken best champ. Hood just isn’t good design for me, which is a shame, because I’ve always had a soft spot for him.
I'm happy to see King Groot hit harder than before. I can finally take him out with the boys (Immortal Abomination, Venom The Duck, Man-Thing and Sasquatch)
VP has the exact flavor that I'd expect a VP to have; I wouldn't even mind duping my 6* now, even with what little I've tested him.
KG I don't have over 4*.
Hood still makes no sense. He's basically old buffed Hood with Hex Seal, but less damage, and none of the bugs that made people like the old buff. Well, the bullet gain bug is a synergy now, but you have to run a non-standard synergy. Oh, and they kept the thing most people hated. Neat. Why did it take this long, and why did it use up a buff slot?
I'll save the details, but I probably won't be able to look at the character without negativity as he is. The whole situation just gives bad vibes.

Personally I don't use squatch and just use manthing and ibom. Squatch messes with the furies
I tested out my unupgraded 5* hood on ROL WS, getting as many hexes as possible, and i managed an ~74,000 damage burst. Lots of fun, crazy potential! KG was solid too, unupgraded 6* full synergies took 200+ hits to get ROL WS down tho, which was a bit disappointing, but towards the end of the fight the damage was looking good, plus his sustainability is great. Venompool was also nice, nothing too special but solid damage. Overall very happy with all three!

You should uhh, take a look at the Sasquatch synergy now. They changed it and it's MUCH better for KG now. The paused fury before was very annoying and was in most fights a disadvantage for KG.
The new synergy actually makes KG start the fight and after every cooldown have an extra Fury so 4 total AND they all gain 30% potency. That synergy alone has me thinking of my new AQ team of King Groot, Sasquatch and Ibom.

Venompool is absolutely fun to use!
Kg is only 5*r1. 🤷♂️
