Toxic Sentiments on the Buff Program going too far

Take a look at the comments in red:

Sentiments like this in the community are straight up toxic and some people are taking things a step too far. Let’s get into the details.
Kabam mess everything up:
While Kabam have messed up the Guillotine buff and created non-impactful buffs along the way, in general since the ‘Buff Program’ was inaugurated in August 2020 we have seen some magnificent puzzle pieces added to the game. Magneto (who pulverizes #Metal), Magneto HoX, Moleman, Kingpin, Thor Ragnarok, Ultron, Diablo, Odin, Masacre and many others have greatly boosted our rosters and certain areas of the game. I am sorry but saying Kabam are pathetic and are messing each and every single rework up is completely untrue. I urge the next person who makes such claims to look at their roster in the next quest they attempt, and look to see if any of the champs they brought along were buffed champs before they open fire on Kabam.
Kabam don’t listen:
No, they do listen. Remember DD Flix, Immortal Hulk and Odin? On their release, so many of us had our gripes about their damage and rotation. But what did the good forces in the community do? We started threads, we started polls, some created content on YouTube, others shared tips and tricks here which eventually influenced Kabam to make the changes we wanted to see. I have threads on each of these champs, where many notable forum members have contributed immensely on there, on the Champion Spotlights, on their own threads and polls, etc. I invite such toxic people to have a read to see what a constructive community looks like. Also, V8 VP was turned around so quickly it saved a lot of face from the lack of testing. The moral of the story is that if you want change you have to work together. You can’t always work against each other.
The verdict on Joe Fixit:
I watched a video recently where a person on the street accused a world leader of being on vacation while an incident happened, 10 years prior to their election! What’s the point of this analogy? It’s about sheer ignorance. And we can’t blindly agree to it in this community. We can’t spawn and engender spite so freely. If I look at the comments that were made in the video that I watched, who said that Joe Fixit was going to be a nightmare to fight? Was it the increase in Block Proficiency that got the user down? Oh boohoo. Did they not stop to think that Joe is no longer going to proc Regen randomly? No? That should make Abyss fights so much easier, because from what I saw, that Regen was a pain. Well, it’s gone now. Kabam nerfed themselves. Anything that Fixit needs to proc he needs to work for, so you’re not really going to have a very difficult time with him on defense. Also, he’s going to get +4000 Attack rating by stacking Spades 4 times, and that is nothing to scoff at.
Besides, if you want a champion to get better on offense, we need to accept that, sometimes, they are going to get better on defense too.
With that, I would like to end my rant, directed towards toxic and abusive sentiments that are doing nothing but making progress in this game much more difficult to achieve.
Take away words:
Do your due diligence. Dissect the buffs, analyze the bits, try and put them together. Be constructive. If you can’t make much of the spotlight then wait until you can test the champ before dishing it out. Let’s keep the community constructive and help save the game instead of doing the opposite.
Cheers.

It’s an attitude of everything Kabam does is bad, and it’s ridiculous. Do kabam do everything right? No. Do kabam do everything wrong? Equally no.
There’s a toxic part of the community who will always throw insults and abuse to every decision kabam makes, and then go play the game for 4 hours a day enjoying every second of it. It’s an entitled ridiculous attitude and is a prime example of why “the customer is always right” is a flawed premise. I really feel sorry for those with such a negative outlook on a game they claim to love.
The buff program is genuinely an overwhelming success, but that doesn’t mean every part has been right and flawless. We can point out where kabam goes wrong, but we need to say when kabam does it right too.
If I were Kabam and I read any piece of feedback that included any phrases such as “Kabam never listen”, “Kabam always mess up”, “Kabam don’t do anything right” or the like, I would snigger and immediately ignore that feedback.
Well said @Rookiie that was a really well worded post. I can’t wait to try out Joe Fixit’s buff
It was kind of the same situation when he was first released. His kit was way complicated for the time.
Silver Centurion is another where he was greatly overlooked and now people are coming around more and more on. I've been saying all along how good he is. Ability sheets are just an explanation.and shouldn't be what we judge anything off of.
As an example, Joe: you can tell he will have petrify utility, plus a nice synergy with despair mastery, he’ll also have life steal so potential for nice sustainability, a disorient could provide a decent DAAR, weakness could help him being tanky and lastly a nice boost to combat power rate.
Now, that all sounds great. That’s the utility that you can tell he has from his spotlight, but you never know how well it’s going to be in practice until you test him out. Do the petrify, disorient and weakness stack well enough? How does the life steal perform? Can you reverse power and regen reliably?
Essentially, if a champion has no or little utility you can tell from the spotlight, but if they have different pieces of utility it’s hard to tell how good it’ll be until it’s tested.
Lastly, damage is almost impossible to tell until testing. You can see if there’s potential for damage, but until you see it in action, you may as well flip a coin. Whether Joe’s Spade attack increase is good enough, whether his bleed damage wrecks, those are the questions I can’t wait to see answered.
My sig 40 is excited, hopefully he’s worth a rank up!
"Not sure how you could see him as pathetic, when he has a Playstyle as simple as MMx4 that gets you +3600 Attack (as well with the Sig, up to +2800 Crit Rating) and Heavy Spamming gives you +25% Combat Power Rate Each which is Great for a Special Dependent Champion!" and it's obvious how they could see it as a Fail...
These people don't know what they want, they have a Vague Idea of how they want a Champion Reworked, then when it doesn't match their again Vague Expectations in the First 5 Seconds they see it as a Total Fail and have the Uncontrollable Desire to Trash the final product before even Reviewing the Details.
While I think you can judge some things from reading the abilities - especially for buffs, where you have previous stats and abilities to compare them to - I also think that some champions really benefit from landing in the hands of players. The harder the ability descriptions are, the more likely they are to have to be experienced first-hand to be clearly understood. I think that this is partly a problem of Kabam's own making - please make champs easier to understand without a notepad and too much time to burn on research - but the community could nonetheless benefit from not reaching for their pitchforks all the gosh-dang time.
Being critical of something before it comes out is one thing. I was critical of the Guillotine buff before it went live and I don't think I was in the wrong there. As I said, you can make reasonable assumptions from reading a champion's abilities, and if you can't, the abilities are probably a bit too complex for their own good anyway.
However, there's a huge difference between being critical of something and being downright toxic. You can be however critical you want and still not call people - Kabam or otherwise - morons.
when the buff goes life, AoL's Joe won't get this buff (only basic attack and special attack animations if they decided to change it), same goes for all buffs and reworks
LoL SpiderGwen are prime examples of this)
Edit: I really need to work on my habit of not reading previous posts before posting
On my mini, I have War Machine, Masacre and Daredevil NF as reworked champs at r3. 3 out of a total of 8 R3s. Yellow jacket will be my next, making that 4/9
On my main, I have falcon, Venompool and Diablo. 3 out of a total of 18. Ebony Maw will likely be my next.
I’d say that’s a pretty good strike rate, 6 out of 24 is really great considering not every buff is aimed at end game players.
