@Terra just to add on, I forgot to say that since they both were pretty much the same level of useful (i.e. not very) at pre buff state, I would just compare their buffs 1:1 now.

. I've looked at my r3 6 stars and 9 of them are reworked or updated characters. .
This made me go and check. 25% of my r3 roster is reworked champions
    I had to check too..

On my mini, I have War Machine, Masacre and Daredevil NF as reworked champs at r3. 3 out of a total of 8 R3s. Yellow jacket will be my next, making that 4/9

On my main, I have falcon, Venompool and Diablo. 3 out of a total of 18. Ebony Maw will likely be my next.

I’d say that’s a pretty good strike rate, 6 out of 24 is really great considering not every buff is aimed at end game players.

Diablo was my first 6*. He's my latest r3. The sadness I felt when I pulled him is almost negated by his buff
Diablo is one of my favourite champs at the moment, he’s on almost all of my war attacks and he is crushing it. I come out of most fights with more health than I went in with. He’s dripping with utility and damage. Nullify, energy damage regen, armour break and stun immunity. For me, his is the best buff of the program (just because I find Magneto boring to play)
Diablo is currently one of my top 5 favorite champs to play in the game. He'll be considered among the options when I have r4 material. I used him a lot in war also, but recently switched him to AQ. He's on my testing team for map 8.

Who would you say got the better buff treatment, Mags or Diablo, compared to pre-buff state?
Want me to be objective or subjective?

Objectively Magneto. He is actually broken for metal matchups. There’s no skill needed, just 12 heavy attacks then sp3 and it’s over. Clearly, he solves a hell of a lot of problems when it comes to his matchups. The 70% DAAR is amazing for him since he’s parry, then 1 hit heavy. Someone who has MLLLM or a 2 hit heavy just can’t deal with 70% DAAR, but it works amazing for him.

Having said that, since I really don’t find magneto fun to play - subjectively it’s Diablo for me. His buff is everything an overhaul should be. Plenty of damage, awesome unique utility and he covers so much ground with his pre fights he is a Jack of all trades, master of damn nearly all of them. I will never run out of good things to say about Diablo. Plus, I just find him so fun to play in all manners of situations.

Diablo is up there for one of my very early rank 4s, if I didn’t like Mr Negative so much I probably would r4 Diablo.
Glad to see there’s lots of love for Diablo. I haven’t had much of a chance to try my 6* since the buff, and I wasn’t really sure what he brought to the table. I may actually consider ranking my 6* now since I do find him fun to play, just need to figure out all of his unique uses

For the sake of this not turning into a Diablo Hype Thread, I'll just say I 100% agree and he's easily become one of my Top 5 Favorites.

Also the occasional Novas and Gamoras is worth the more often Diablos, King Groots, Venompools, Bishops, Gambits, ect. They aren't all going to be slam dunks, but When They Hit They Hit, overall the Rework Program is a Success and should be considered an Undeniable Success...

I wish people would learn you can't judge a champion off written abilities. Apocalypse, Warlock and Corvus ring a bell for anyone?

And our newest member, Knull and some buff champs like Ultron, Miles.

    Remember Torch?
He got buffed. A minor tune up but it made him much better.

The constant “Kabam bad” made my last alliance unbearable in the end, and while some of it was understandable frustrations about the parry bug, none of them bothered reading up the explanation to the issue so believed the reason to just be they want more $$.
But what really tops it off was the amount of “Kabam bad” that got thrown out when actually it was just their inability to read champion abilities.

I hate that lol. A guy died to a fight and immediately came and ranted about how kabam is bugging the game purposely to collect money when it was just them not reading nodes

    We’re very critical.

Kabam - please keep the buffs coming (Captain America - cough cough)

    tigra
Go on YouTube and listen to all the “experts” complaining about buffs on paper before their releases.

Is it legit or for clicks?

Came here just to correct you on one thing. Abyss champs are unaffected by buffs, so Joe will still proc regen in abyss :(

    Thanks for the correction @DrDrill, @Total_Domin01 & @Pikolu
My bad, I didn’t know that

I think the concern about Joe’s block penetration is very much over the top for several reasons.

First, he’ll only get it on defense if you parry him. There are all kinds of matchups in this game that punish you far more severely for parrying than a moderate amount of block penetration. Play against him like one of those matchups. Get intercepts. Use champions with assisted intercepts who don’t need to parry. I’m curious how Elsa’s evade on well-timed blocks will interact with this.

Second, if you do need to parry him, then you can keep fighting him to get the diamond card off of him. And realistically you won’t be partying him without hitting him four times in a row, so he’ll at most get two stacks of diamonds at a time. So many champions have more block penetration than that.

Meanwhile, it could be a useful tool as an attacker if we see nodes that make us want to attack into block. Point is, it’ll be okay. Joe isn’t about to become a top tier defender.
