AW season 31 & Xmas gifting event

Good evening,

After the message received this evening concerning the postponement of season 31 after the holidays, I wondered about the envisaged date.

The Christmas event will end on January 03. If, as usual, the rewards dont arrive until a week later, the time to check if all the entries are clean, that would bring to January 10.

A start to the season between 3 and 10 would cause big recruitment problems, as everyone would wait for the rewards to move.

If the subject is already covered elsewhere, please excuse me for the duplicate. If not, would it be possible to have a clarification please?

    Not sure if you understood me well... Im leader of a team. So I talk about recruitment problems.

    Initially, the gifting alliance rewards were supposed to arrive before s31 end. So the recruitment was supposed to be done now.
    With this change, if s31 start on january 05, noone will accept to change team, because they will want to wait january 10 to have gifting alliance rewards. And it will be hard to recruit.

    I can tell you have zero experience running or recruiting for an alliance. Things can happen to members that are out of your control (new job, family issues, losing interest in the game). Just expecting members to stay with you forever is a fantasy.

    What does real life issues have to do with the fact that a few people "exploit" the gifting event?.. joining an alliance for the sole intention of racking up pointa is pretty trashy...a bit unsportmanlike... but unfortunately its the way it goes.. and if people went that route.. it will be their own problem to find a suitable alliance. The alliances that are recruiting will have a harder time too. Its a monster Kabam created that profits them a lot and its unfortunate players have to deal with it.

    Again, since apparently it wasn't clear the first two times:

    1. I am not trying to exploit the Christmas event. I speak as the leader of a team that is a year and a half old.

    2. The topic is: How do you recruit for Season 31 if the system is locked down due to the wait for ranking rewards from the Christmas event?

    How would you have recruited for season 31 if it were to have started as originally planned (without being delayed). You would have still had same issue.

    Events, AQ, AW, etc, are always gonna have overlaps. People just have to decide which is more important to them when they decide to abandon their teammates and jump ship.

    If S31 have started as originally planned, our team would have passed this one. We would therefore have started to recruit, if necessary, in mid January after the gifting rewards delivery, to start S32 at the end of January. Last year we have also passed the last season of the year. No war during Xmas holidays.

    And even if we had done this season during holidays, we would have had no problem, the recruitment would have been carried out there, and the team would not have moved until the end of the season, which would have corresponded to the reception of the classification rewards of the christmas event.

    Now, S31 is supposed to start before we have the last gifting event rewards. It wont be possible to recruit, in my opinion.

    Do you actually think people have constant time for AW? RL takes center stage here. I've been playing mcoc for 7 years and been in alliances for 5 years, longest was 3 years in one alliance. So let me tell you that recruitment for war is not that relevant for alliances below platinum maybe gold but if the war is being halted for Christmas, its a good thing as you do not want to spend your holidays chasing players. What you're talking about is you want to play war throughout January when it's notoriously long and certain obstacles can get in the way like players leaving, new job etc. It's unreasonable to think that you are even thinking about the next season when gifting hasn't even started. Enjoy the break, relax and worry about it nearer the time
