I see Nimrod's hype so much in the 6* crystal . Top 5 tech ??

I haven't opened any current featured yet , but i do have him as a 5* and i can actually say that he is the same for mutants as Torch is to mystics. Eats mutants in breakfast , lunch and dinner .
Not just mutants , his utility just makes him grt for different nodes and scenarios . I think he really is top 5 tech .
What do you all think about him??

In your opinion, how much does he need his dupe for both attack and defense? It seems more like a nice-to-have, but I'm not familiar enough with his kit or experienced with his gameplay to know for sure.
EDIT: VegaMcoc has some good videos out on your very question.
A god against mutants and nodes that give the opponent regen/prowess

As others have noted, he is insane vs mutants, but I find him to not be bad vs others as well. I’m going to awaken him soon as I think he will be even more sick, and even more effective against non mutants. Have an AG for him but hoping to dupe him from the new featured shortly.
To me he definitely feels to mutants what HT is to Mystics and Red Mags is to metal, but also does just fine against non mutants.
They only really missed in him not having a shock immunity, and his heavy attack does nothing extra which is seriously wrong as even the lower Sentinel has a better heavy.
Add prowess and regeneration.
Who would we rank over him?
Ghost
Warlock ?
Who else?
The ones that come to mind are potentially Can't Stop Won't Stop (you'll be able to do your SP2 damage without reduction) or scenarios where you want to keep your Armor Up.
I am also struggling trying to figure out the reduced Armor Break potency side of things. For example, Vision Aarkus should still be able to place Armor Breaks and cause Coldsnap damage, which makes me think of why not just bring a completely Armor break immune individual.
Can you share some Nodes/Scenarios he'd be good for?
G2099 is best for multiple fights with big health pools. She was great for the Apoc boss on Map 7.
Warlock is your Swiss Army Knife. Armor break, heal block, power control, shock, bleed, whatever your little heart desires. He’s not the absolute best at any of those (except maybe heal block depending on the matchup), but he does all of them well enough to be a phenomenal champion.
Nimrod is, as everybody has seen at this point, a mutant slayer. He is a hard counter to every mutant champion in the game with the partial exception of Bishop. However, his anti-mutant kit extends to other matchups as well:
Angela, Anti-Venom, Darkhawk, Doctor Voodoo, Groot, G2099, Hulkbuster, Ironman, Iron Patriot, King Groot, Man-Thing, Mangog, Mojo, Mordo, Nebula, P2099, Sasquatch, Sersi, Sorcerer Supreme, Superior Iron Man, Ultron, Venom the Duck, and War Machine are all non-mutant champions who also use regeneration actives or passives in their base kit. Obviously, some of these defenders require counters more than others, but I can say that Nimrod absolutely shuts down Sasquatch’s healing phase and I wish I’d have had him during the Grandmaster’s Gauntlet.
Nimrod is also the only robot who deals energy damage on his basic attacks, allowing him to bypass things such as Korg’s thorns damage. For shock immune matchups, the energy vulnerability applied by his sp1, especially at high sig, can dramatically increase the damage output of his basics.
Basically, Nimrod has a dizzying amount of stuff going on in his kit. Between his tankiness, his damage output, his ability to control a fight, his unblockable specials, and so much else, I’m hard-pressed to find scenarios that he struggles. If I’m going in blind to a quest, he’s going on my team without a doubt.
Shock vulnerability
Bioshock/caltrop's
His Blitz/Eradicate modes can remove the Regen passives.
