Does Anyone else feel like their account is cursed?

I’ve been playing MCOC for some 4-5 years, constantly. And I’m not a big spender but I do put some money into it to help push my account here and there, but over the last couple years I feel like it’s impossible to get things done, between the lag input and parry/dexterity bug I can’t push for thronebreaker, because I just die constantly and I just don’t seem to have the champs “necessary” to help make things easier.

Now champion pulls in crystals… My account is cursed. I just non-stop pull the same champions over.. and over.. and over.. be it 5 stars or even 6 stars! If I spin a Crystal, it’s a dupe of a champ I don’t play, if I pop open a Crystal, BAM! Dupe of a champ I don’t play 100% guaranteed!

Did I just open a 5 star Crystal and get Wolverine X-23 and then open a Grandmaster Crystal and get 5 star X-23 AGAIN immediately after? Yep!

My last 6 star pull was Drax (for the first dupe!)
My 6 star pull a week later? Also Drax.

Am I cursed to just never pull new exciting champs?
My 6 star roster isn’t even that big to be duping the same champs like this, I just want some new champions that I will actually play is that so hard?

This repeated opening and duping nothing champs that don’t help my roster is burning me out, there isn’t an incentive for me to keep playing when every month is just disappointing.

I don’t think my account is necessarily cursed as I have a massive roster and all the counters. But I do think there’s a hex on my account that if I can pull a 6* Wasp, I will.

When 5*s were still newer and more rare I can't tell you how many KKs I opened. It was the worst luck ever and seriously was making me very upset. I didn't think it was cursed, just RNG was not on my side.

I did not have AA or Iceman above a 4* until the end of last year. Then in a matter of 2 weeks got them both as both 5* and 6*.

That is just the nature of the casino ride we are all on. Hang in there. Also, as suggested above show us who you have and we can help suggest a path to TB.

I just duped both 5* Psylocke and 6* Beast from my War Season rewards. Sure, it was disappointing, but it happens. That's RNG for you.

Most people would consider pulling 5* X-23 from a grandmaster crystal to be pretty lucky pull.

If you think your account is cursed, here's my advice. Start a journal, and start recording *all* your crystal openings. At least the ones that can drop high tier champs. Are you actually opening nothing but bad champs, or does it just seem like it?

Here are all of my current featured 6* openings, in order:

1. Cable (sigs)
2. Old Man Logan (new)
3. Taskmaster (awakening)
4. Sersi (new)
5. Kitty Pryde (new)
6. Hit Monkey (sigs)
7. Wasp (sigs)
8. Old Man Logan (awakening)

Is that good or bad? I think some people would think it was not good. Other people would think it is great. I think it is decent. Kitty of course, and Emma is solid. But I will bet a lot of people would think they were in a long drought after Kitty: seven pulls they would classify as "not useful to them." The only way to actually know how good the pulls actually were is to write them down so you can objectively look at them without fuzzy memory in the way. Sometimes, the act of keeping a record can make things look better than they seem with selective memory.

Saying your roster is cursed without posting a single screen shot makes it hard to take this serious. I've seen people call some really, really good champs bad or trash not knowing better. I so often people try and exclude very good champs in their roster only focusing on the bad pulls (which we all get).

I know where you are coming from. From 2018-2020 I recorded all my pulls in a spreadsheet, and calculated chance for the useless drops, I got - as well as for the (very, very few) good ones. If it was 'true' rng, it would never have happened. The chances were soooo slim to keep getting useless champs. And funny enough the same unlikely drops never happened to good champs. Not a single time.
Tried to complensate by doing endless hours upon hours of arena grind for feat champs - and I succeded in getting them several times - but it almost drove me to insanity (and cost way more money, than I ever thought I would use on a mobile game).
It was so depressing that I stopped recording my drops, and focusing on how unlikely my drops are... And yeah; they still suck, but I dont care anymore. Game is dying anyways...

Of course. Everybody at some stage goes through this. Currently I'm thinking it with my 6* feature openings, 3/7 have been YJ.

Well, I have been playing MCOC since December 2014 and never seen the game in a worse State than currently.

I think we can Agree on that 4s champs are better than 2s champs. My highest streak of not getting a single 4s champ from phc is around 300 crystals.
The measures I used to cathegorize a champ as good or bad was Seatin, Lagacy and other sources

My account used to be cursed. I had over 20 5*s back in late 2018 and the only good one was Venom after his buff. Since then I cast remove curse at 9th level and now have a great roster.

In the end, your thoughts are recycled from others, which is sad. Lagacy and Seatin basically use the popular champs and have a very narrow viewpoint. Expand your horizons.

The PHC now has about a 3% chance to drop either a 4* champ or a 4* Nexus. At those odds the probability of going 300 crystals without either 4* drop are about 0.01% or about one in ten thousand. Every year, there are probably dozens of players that see this sort of streak. Another way to look at it, I currently have about 2600 unopened PHCs right now. If I opened all of them, the odds of seeing a 300 streak of no 4* drops would be about one in four.

Not what I would consider exceptionally unusual occurrences in either case.

More than anyone I know. Took me around 70 featured 6* to finally get my first hit on one ever. Never got a featured 6* from a cav a single time, hell only got one or two junk 6* from any cavs at all, never pulled good 6* back to back, literally have the worst luck I've ever seen. Taken breaks a few times now on account of it. Sucks but there's not a damn thing you can do about but wise up and quit.

When did they change this? I totally missed that but it makes a lot of sense.

I played the game for close to 2 years and never got a 4* from a PHC. I’ve also had some crazy great luck recently with 6*s, so it just is what it is.
