Crossbones will not throw specials crossbones will not throw specials. I understand this fight is supposed to be hard that’s the fun part, but when you make changes to your AI for the fight so crossbones will be completely passive it really just comes off as a unit grab! I mean it’s pretty blatant that it’s written into the fight when you can corner him launch your special and even coming out of the special he won’t throw his.

Maybe you’re not used to the new beta timings.
Back a year ago the last time the game worked for me, coincidentally during the first week of SOP, I used to manipulate the Ai into blocking and retreating by tapping block as they initially advanced towards me. It was a great way to tee up an intercept or back then into their corner without touching them.
The issue I have now is that I have to dex so early these days to even stand a chance of avoiding getting hit (ie as soon as I think I see the first frame of a dash). The result is that it can end up manipulating the Ai into a block/retreat if they are actually just advancing rather than dashing.
It used to be I could dex or parry right at the moment of impact, stand around idling to initiate actions before reacting etc but those are distant memories.
Anyway might explain why some with particularly bad input/timing issues appear to have a different Ai. I watch a couple YT videos and the animation speeds are like a different game to the one I get to play 🤷🏽♂️
This fight is the reason why.
This works for me if there are no nodes that become the defender acts passive.
But…I do agree. CB playing hard to get this fight. Refuses to give it up.

Crossbones with 1 bar of power seems more prone to throw the special when there is more than 50% of the Bane timer left. When it is less than 50%, he seems less likely to throw his Special. Once the Bane timer passes onto you, Crossbones will again be more likely to throw his special, or start to dex away like mad.
Ever notice that the Defender tends to run away when you have Unblockable on? Intercepting or hitting into block with normal Nick Fury is a piece of cake. But when Nick Fury is unblockable, suddenly it is much more common for the AI the suddenly dex your intercepts when before they would have just blocked it. I think it is a similar thing here.
The AI is just programmed to respond to advantageous/disadvantageous timers.
the nodes are enough to make it a challenge but the AI being that passive does not seem fair.
This fight is stupid
Ended up using Sentinel for him and seems like the best choice for 3 points at one go. When CB is passive, pinned him to the wall and heavy him because Sentinel's heavy is unstoppable at 100 charges. Had to use 1 revive though.
maintaining three furies,
the Bane timer,
not being able to block or parry as well
as it being unideal to push him to sp2 combine
to make it seem like he's being stingier than normal
