Is there a true minimum for being an Endgame player?

Don’t judge the title, because I’m asking what defines an Endgame player now that we’re almost halfway through 2022. The economy’s opening back up in several countries (or a few, I don’t really know at this point.) there are now Paragon players. Still plenty of Thronebreaker players somewhere from 1-60 r3s and seomwhere from 7.1.1-7.4.6 completed with 0-3 r4s. Abyss is probably still a thing. Cavalier players are probably mid to endgame players depending on roster depth and content completion. Variants are still defining factors in status, but by how much I still don’t know. What is the minimum requirement to become an Endgame player?

Imagine someone starting this game on 2022. How much time/grinding will it take for them even to be a mid game player with decent roster.

its actually not that long, my friend started playing in around January, he got cav yesterday and has I think 1 or 2 r5 5star
It will take months just to adapt to the game here. The basics are easy. Dex and parry will not be very smooth for beginners. They will know things like Intercept, reparry, heavy counter exists after 4 5 months lol.

Plus with this many charecter, animations of their heavies, sp1 and sp2, to learn and get used to those for someone who is new to mcoc will be too overwhelming imo.

Most New players won't read nodes and champ abilities until they realise that's what most imp thing in here. That realisation won't come till act 4 lol.

I started back 2 years and it took me 2 3 months to get a good grasp of the game and understand it.

Not all Paragon players are endgame players. A player who has cash out all the deals giving r4 mats OR maybe has spent heavily in gifting event & currently Owns 3 r4s is a Paragon. But there is a possibility that he hasn't still done any long content like abyss/lab , hasn't explored act7 , act6 , Variants , Hasn't done the tougher Carina challenges OR We can just say he has too much content ingame to still do. I won't count him as an endgame player & I personally know some players like this who are paragon rn.

For me an endgame player is the one who has explored all the acts , almost all variants , Has done the carinas , Has done everything released in the past like SOP , Gauntlet & waits for new content to be released to smash it & is too used to this game mechanics that he can handle any given fight.

In simpler words , A player who has conquered "most" of the aspects of the game . Doesn't matter if he spends or not.

Paragon is just a new title released just recently so Endgame Thronebreakers and "most" of the Paragon players come in this bracket.

PS : I am Paragon . Have all game content 100% & I count myself as an endgame player.

doing everything in the game (including the limited time event that is already gone) + 300$ +700 units, you would still need 3 or 4 months of SQ r4 materials, maybe more

Endgame players can be an array, I wouldn’t consider a paragon a stepping stone to endgame because someone who is paragon may have whaled out and done things here and there. Some tbronebreakers (like me) are more end game than paragons.

I would definitely consider someone who is endgame having cleared the gauntlet, act 1-7 (not just 7 and skipped 6), all variants done and have at least 1-2 rank 4s. This is more opinionated though TBH. You could say someone who is in a master alliance and top 10 aq. Others can say someone to who is p2 and top 100. Everyone’s definition of endgame can be different. One thing I could say is someone who is definitely waiting for new content WITH at least 95-97% of everything complete.

Paragon or very close to it.
    Tier 1-2 war
    Map 8 AQ
All content done and/or when new content drops you have the roster to do it, you just need to find time for it.

@Noobda there hasn't been enough r4 materials in money or unit deals to give anyone paragon outside of the RNG of gifting. If you didn't do gifting then exploring act 7 and buying one of the act 7 deals are required for getting paragon if you don't do carina challenges. So in a sense, pretty much all paragon players have the ability to do endgame story content.

True and not as I personally know people with multiple r4 and haven't explored act 6, act 7, variant, abyss or any of the carina. He wasn't tb for sop because didn't run through act 6 at that stage and ignored gg. He is in map 5 allaince with silver war. I think you grossly underestimated how many r4 things were available for purchase. I told him stop whaling on crystals and hit up act 7 with those units for paragon.

He will beat me to paragon at that rate. Couple more carina for my number 2 with 0 additional content to do.

For me true end game is exploration of act 6. I can usually tell how adept someone is based on the content they completed. Act 7 exploration is not that impressive nowadays. That's more so for war recruiting( back in the days) . Nowadays , I think it's just as long as you have champs AQ, AWD, AW covered you are good. Also SOP, Abyss, EOP, gauntlets etc.

I would definitely consider the people that whale out and got paragon by spending as endgame. What is the Endgame? It’s your roster. You play to acquire and rank up your favorite champs as high as you can. Someone who whales out that much has accomplished just that.

Doing the abyss or tough content doesn’t define anything if you can just spend to acquire those same things. If the game was just take these 5 characters into this tough content and try to beat it as the prize but there wasn’t a reward or you got to keep the characters or try with others this game wouldn’t be as successful as it is. For most people you do the abyss for the rewards like the awakening gem or getting that large class nexus to get and awaken who you want and then R3 them, for a spender they can just spend to do just that. If they want to do the abyss they can probably just spend through that too.

I think endgame is when you’re at the point where you feel accomplished in your roster. You either don’t have many more champs if any that you “have to have” or “have to rank up”. And that can vary greatly player to player but I think we all play the game because we want to acquire champs.

The paragons/spenders have done just that. If you’re a completionist and want everything done to feel accomplished or just want to be challenged that’s great but that’s not the end goal for the game. The end goal is having fun and getting/ranking the champs and spenders/paragons do just that. They’re endgame.

Okay. Everyone has their own POV , Can't deny.

I have done 50% of act 6, act 7 100%, all variants 100% except 1 and 8 and am gearing up for my first abyss run (going for an all mutant team for carina challenges). Done 1 LOL run back in the day and 100%ed gauntlet when it came out. Didn't get to do all of SOP because of real life issues.

I have 29 5r5, 6 6r2, 11 6r3 and 1 6r4. I consider myself almost endgame. I would consider myself end game after 2 abyss runs, almost all carina's done and close to 100% act 6. And of course EoP event 100%.

ig I can say that having Paragon at this stage of the game probably constitutes you being Endgame

I’d define myself as an endgame player.

I’ve explored all content except the carinas which I’m working through and compete in masters AW - came 5th last season. I’m not Paragon yet because I haven’t spent on the game for years and really don’t enjoy the Abyss/LoL carinas. That said I pretty consistently explore content on release.

I think there’s a lot of ways you could define endgame. At the moment anyone who’s Paragon is definitely endgame because they’ve had to be in high tier alliances and finished pretty much all content. In a few months Paragon probably won’t be the barometer for Paragon as the R4 floodgates start to open.

I would probably define it as someone who is constantly waiting for content. I've always been one step behind endgame players but after exploring Act 7 recently, there's legitimately not that much for me to do in the game at the moment. I have a bunch of Carina's Challenges left to do that I can work towards now that I have no more story content left to do (unless I want to explore Act 6, but that's a snore), but there's not much more than that for me in terms of permanent content.

Luckily EoP has arrived so I'll have that to do throughout the year, but otherwise it's pretty dry. If the new phone that I'm getting today lets me enter Abyss/Labyrinth fights without a two-minute wait, I might have a look at them as well, but they're honestly not my type of content. I can enjoy long and drawn-out fights when they come once a week in an EoP-style format, but going through an entire gauntlet* of them is not something I particularly enjoy.

    * Not talking about THE Gauntlet. I never tried it back in the day since I was busy becoming Thronebreaker ahead of the SOP.

Imo there's nothing like endgame player. It's just like a hamster running in cycle thing. Never an end point

Size 12 shoe, ability to make dumb jokes with your forum username.
It’s this kind of brutal gate keeping that keeps me out of the endgame.

That, and being bad at the game. Those two things.

why are the people disagree with the idea that an end game player is who have all content completed (acts, variants, carina, special events, ...).
  • Noise72Noise72 Member Posts: 337 ★★★
100% Act 7 is end game to me. Stuff like Carina's challenges and high tier AW is content for end game players. Not content you must complete to be considered end game.
