Enjoy this time. When they're 17 and alternating between "deeznuts" and "cool story bro" when they're not holed up in their room, it's a bit less charming.
I was in 4th grade and, surprise surprise, "Caleb" wasn't available on RuneScape 💀 I've carried the numbers they generated for me across pretty much everything ever since. Profile pic was my first 5* and he carried me through so much early content that it feels like a betrayal to change it.
My handle goes back a long, long, long ways. DNA was the last triple initial I used on high score boards in my quarter arcade days (I used two others over the years). In my USENET days I used to sign my posts MHP3000 (a play on MST3k). When I started playing mobile games circa 2010, I combined the two.

You should have just kept rocking him to sleep, and put your phone down. That time will go fast, soon he won’t need rocked, and maybe it won’t come again. Appreciate every minute of it man.
I thought ... I shouldnt have my actual name in the game i must have something original ... So i named myself un original (very Creative) i did the same with my forum name forgeting It was unoriginal here but i find that name funnier human torch used to be my best four star (after Venom the duck got sold) i It looked cool

This was my very first username in 7th grade for AIM (AOL Instant Messenger).
I was obsessed with Sailor Moon and the main character's name was Usagi, which is Japanese for bunny. And Cassidy is my name.
When I was in middle and high school and had to explain the username and tried to sound cool I said it was USA, GI Cassidy (like GI Joe). I wasn't fooling anyone.
I though it would be fun the add the JR part but my in game name is without it. Mantis is currently my most wanted champion in the game and I've had no luck getting her.
I've largely* been using Sundance as my in-game name for over 20 years since I was playing Quake 2. My Dad called me it one time, instead of 'sunshine' like he usually did when I was trying to settle on a name to use. It's nothing to do with the Sundance Kid. The 2099 part is something I had to use because someone else on Google Play already had the name, so I added that, like I often do, as it's from Marvel 2099. My forum pic is because he's my favourite Marvel character and my top champion.
*I've used "Mace Sundancer" on various Star Wars games, on the Transformers Quake 2 mod and Need for Speed games, I use 'Redline'. On Angry Birds 2, I'm "Eagle".
Now that Insider deals are dead, I've finally changed my name like I've wanted to since it was an option. I'm now SpiderBloke2099. Spider-Bloke was a joke name I came up with when I was talking about Peter moving to Oxford in ASM2 and he said "Spider-Chap" and I said, no, the Spiffing Spider-Bloke. Some else apparently had already thought of the name, so I had to go with the 2099 version...

As for name,

IGN: basically my username for most things, an emphasis on the real thing.
PFP: I've hopped around to a few different ones, but is typically a forgotten champ that would really make sense to buff. #justiceforBlackagar
Forum/ign : local Krispy Kreme sponsored some marathons and other running event, and this was thus my nickname
Profile pic: there were just too many Red Deadpools when I joined, and who wants to be DPX? But got to stay true to being a merc.
It's a wonder @MoeLester is still active though
You jelly?
