Help with CGR

Hey y’all. So I’m curious or more so confused about the when or how to trigger precision and cruelty on CGR sp2. When I through I’m only getting cruelty. On his info it says 100% to gain a precision buff and all specials gain a cruelty.
Can you explain to me how to always get both on the SP2 please?

Dont Dex. Once you get a precision from dexterity, you can't get one from the sp1 until you reset your judgments
    SP2* but this is correct

I get that. But if the precision of judgement is active from the dex if should count toward the sp2 damage when I throw it right after dexing right? I’m not seeing the big damage from precision buff like I do when I get from trigging it in my sp2. I’m confused lol.

The buff is what gives him the increased critical rating not the judgement itself also the precision only increases critical rating not damage

Once dexterity is triggered, a new precision buff will not be created by the s2 because the Judgement of Precision will already be in effect. As such, the dexterity precision will not be overwritten by the s2 precision because the s2 precision won't trigger. The reason you don't see as many big yellow numbers when using an s2 with the dexterity precision is because it has a significantly lower potency than the s2 precision.

Hope this helps. For any more information on CGR, look up Slayer Of Gods on Youtube. He makes a lot of informative and fun CGR content. He also made a big forum post recently that detailed different CGR rotations, so if you're more interested in reading about how to play him, search for it on the forums.

CGR has pretty good block proficiency so you don't take a ton of chip damage, is just hard not to dex sometimes.

Also, he's just so dominant I usually don't care.

@Zuro I see your CGR is Rank 3. I would suggest using Heavy, MLLLL, MLLLM Sp2. That'll allow you to launch a Sp2 before the opponent has a chance to launch their own Special (unless they have increased Power Gain or something).

Because of this, you're far less likely to Dex.

If you're going for a Sp2 in your current cycle, you don't want to Dex. Dexing will activate the Judgement of Precision, so you won't gain the +8800 Crit Rate from launching the Sp2 - you'll get the very small Precision from Dex instead.

The same applies if you, for instance, are using CGR on the Icarus Node - the Fury Buffs will trigger your Judgement of Fury, so when you launch Sp3, you won't gain CGR's specific Fury Buff.

If you're in a fight where you're likely to Dex, then don't use a simple Sp2 cycle. Those are for quick fights / small healthpools. Instead, use either the Fury Sp2 Rotation, the Infinite Sp3 Spam Rotation, or the 6x Aptitude Stacking Rotation. I have guides for all of these on my YouTube channel, and a written guide here on the forums (however, I did make a slight error when describing the 6x Aptitude Rotation).

    Hope this helps!

Run the aptitude or eternity of doom rotation, you’re allowed to dex with both.

    Aptitude rotation:

    -MLLLM combo
    -Dex
    -Special 1
-Drain enemy power to the point at which you can land a MLLLL combo and them not have a bar or power
    -MLLLL combo
    -Parry
-Heavy 5 times and heavy cancel into Special 3 on no. 5
    -MLLLL
    -Profit.

    Eternity of doom or sm:

    - MLLLM
    - Dex
    - Build to Special 3, parry
    - Heavy cancel into Special 3
    - MLLLL
    - Profit.

Or just use basic motor function and run a normal cycle.
