Seriously getting to gold 1 took too long cuz I don’t enjoy bgs anymore. I have never missed glads circ before but this season I def will. Just not enjoying bgs, anyone else? I say bring on the next new game mode cuz bgs is the new arena in my opinion!

    Seeding has you start like 6 tiers below what you finish iirc, so you shouldn't be restarting in bronze.

    Made it to Diamond 1 this morning. We'll see how much more drive I have to push into Vibranium, but making the GC isn't looking good. The extra tiers are not motivating that's for sure.

    I've not been pushing as much this season due to the extra tiers in place, dont really get a great deal of time to play BGs as is but these extra tiers put me off. This season will likely be the first of many to come where I don't make GC 😂

    Too much of a grind, do the bare minimum, get the every other day rewards and move on.

    To me, the mode is just like Incursions but with better rewards - play a few round every few days to qualify for the minimum rewards. At the end of the month/season, I end up where I end up (with BGs, usually still in VT).

    I don't need to 'maximize' the rewards I earn, because at the end of the day, the acceleration to account progression these things can provide to an account means little to me. The take home is that just play what you want to play to get your account where you want it to be.

    I think it’s the 6 days a week of war for me. They are just too different, and war is distracting. And to be competitive, I need to do arena and all the other content for the resources I need. It’s left BGs in the dust, so far

    🙋‍♂️ matchmaking is awful, for me at least fine from the standard 15-30 second wait times to 90-120 seconds. I'm not waiting 2 minutes to sit in a game for 10 minutes at best 20 minutes at worst spending half the time looking at a post fight screen because I blitz the opponent and then sit waiting for opponent. I either steamroll, or lose because I don't have the patience to be one of those guys to Min/max their health and finish at 100% but take nearly the whole time to do so. Maybe next season if the nodes aren't an unfun snorefest coupled with AIs more passive than anything I've seen in recent memory.

    The extra tiers seems nice on paper, but in practice it makes it way too grindy. They could’ve just taken those rewards for the extra tiers and split them between the other tiers to buff the rewards. Hard knock life and ebb flow knock down is not really an enjoyable/interesting meta to play in either. I really hope they remove the extra tiers but something tells me they won’t due to the seeding they’re planning to do. I’m on the verge of not doing BG again just because it feels too tedious.

    My experiment last season finally convinced me to actually do what I always preached but never actually did myself: take my time. As a result, I'm only in Gold 1 art the moment, but I've gotten there with almost no stress and dramatically fewer matches, just doing a few here and a few there, pacing myself to stay behind the pack. This has probably been the easiest path to Platinum I've ever seen, and while I may try to push to GC at the very end, if I don't make it I don't make it. Seeding means I can slowly drift upward with a lot less effort than I used to try to push for daylight in the past.

    How well that actually works will probably take a few seasons to see, but I'm fine with that for now.

    For me I'm not sure if it is the extra Tier that make it grinding or the 1 win, 1 lost Token starting at Gold tier that make the whole experience tedious and demotivating.

    I would imagine a 2 win, 1 lost Token up until we get to Vibranium 1 make the BG experience more enjoyable.

    The feeling of moving forward 1 step only to take 2 step back doesn't encourage more participation. Especially you are in Gold Tier and usually face much higher account than yourself.

    Conversely, you can sit down to play BGs for 45 minutes and have nothing to show at the end. It too often feels like dead time, or, even worse, negative progress, will be the result of playing BGs.

    That's not "fun".

    You get points for solo and alliance event.

    I Agree with OP, BG is the new Arena, all this allys adding minimums are making it more grindy. More tiers more grind(atleast for this season, still grindy nonetheless) . Boring VT metas gives additional pseudo Grind feeling. Ridiculous matchups adds to the grind( add different tiers with different rewards please). The biggest contributor of Grind is the damn bugs and input issues(not sure if this is ever gonna be fixed). Add some generous gold and Units or atleast Battlechips in BG's each matchups and it would rejuvenate mode imo addition to fixing above stuff.
