No one would pay 7500 for a generic R5 6* Gem, why would they pay 7500 for a Iron Man R5 6*?=
I personally know 2 people who have already bought it, and I am tempted to pick it up myself because that would save me a lot of t6b and t3a that I can put towards 7*s

7500 units, with Black Friday only 2 month away, and Xmas 3 month away? I would wait for sure, even more since I dont really know how usefull Iron Man will be

Yep — as a solo player where every resource counts because I have to either grind for it or pay for it myself, no one else, this kind of offer isn’t the worst thing I have ever seen
If I was an Arena grinder, I would drop the units in a heartbeat in order to save the resources
Honestly, I get why they are doing it though. They need someway to cover the losses of doing Iron Man rather than a new character. If the character creates a huge loss I don't really see them doing many reworks. This creates a way where they will still get some income even from people who already own Iron Man. I mean they'll still be getting people going for a 7* from the paragon crystals, but it could cut out a lot of people trying for cav crystals if they already have him as a 6* and are below Paragon progression.
While I don’t personally find the offer worthwhile I think it’s a good thing that it will be available for a month, which should give those willing to buy it enough time to make a decision after using him.

This, I would spend the units if it were a generic gem.

This, tbh.
Kabam, PLEASE don't use this as your primary metric for whether or not Iron Man was successful. Don't look at whether or not this deal sold and determine "Well, we made more money off new characters, scrap that idea completely."
You have a massive sale day coming up and this deal takes a hefty amount of units. If it were generic, this cost kind of tracks with your past ones, but it's very costly for being so narrowly focused.
Price lowered by about 15-20% would probably net a far more positive response. Just my opinion though.
They should have offered a 6 star Iron Man alongside the rankup stuff. Who knows how long it will be before I actually pull one, so this deal was DOA for me.
I might do it if it is a rank 1 to 5 gem… I think most people like me would had left him at rank 1. That means I still need to rank him up from rank 1 to 4 before I can even use the gem. I have rank 4 materials but I am always short on the lower rank up stuff.

Let's be honest here, unless you're really lucky, the banquet crystals are pretty bad investment for your units. Every year people say they are bad. I would rather use my units at 4th of July and cyber weekend, and as a resident dolphin, if I really need units I'll just get them from the money deals for cyber weekend.

Not that it would justify the value though

I mean, you're exchanging the units for those resources... That's pretty much how all Unit Offers work in this game.
7,500 units for all the resources required to rank & level a Champ to Rank 5 is solid value compared to prior Unit Sales, imo
Edit: at least the deal is up for 27 days
