Are there any bad matchups even with class advantages?

Are there any other instances where a champ gets countered by another despite having the class advantage? Or just champs having an ability that counters their stronger class/is weak against the weaker class?

    Although Kingpin cannot purify Apocalypse's debuffs, he can still stack tons of rage buffs

    Lots of great answers already. I'll just add that any champion that places damaging debuffs on you is a nightmare if you don't have the corresponding immunity or ability to purify/cleanse those debuffs or otherwise prevent them from applying. Someone like iBom is a nightmare for tons of champions in the Skill class, for example. Same thing with Havok. There are a lot of Tech champions with armor up buffs, but he's still a nightmare for anyone who don't have one.

    I also find Sersi to be really annoying to fight even with Mystic champions. If you fail to get the fight under control early and she gets to her glancing buff, stuff gets really complicated really fast. Obviously, there are a few Mystic champions that just shut her down, but there are also a lot of champions in that class that struggle.

    Spider Supreme vs Heimdall, not a great idea to use a champ whose main kit relies on placing buffs on a champ who actually benefits from numerous buffs. I haven't even dealt 20% damage, and Heimdall already had more than 15 persistent buffs on him

    Similarly any Energy Based Mystic champ against Captain Marvel Movie is just a suicide run

    If it’s a short-medium fight he’s fine but it gets a bit obnoxious if it’s a long fight with his CPR. It’s not a terrible matchup but it’s definitely not ideal.

    I use BWCV against her pretty often. Yes she goes binary quick, but those buffs feed BWCV and provide a ton of power, which leads to very quick SP2s and the win.

    Another reason BWCV is my BAE.

    Most skill champs vs og abom
    Attuma and ddhk vs void
    Terrax vs duped warlock(terrax takes constant degen damage when rock shield is up during infection)
    Idoom vs havoc(I use havoc as an idoom trap many times in bgs as havoc has strong energy resistance and the fight is always long)

    I wish they would change Juggs to only a certain non damaging debuff like weakness and/or parry to be able to remove his gem. So many Cosmic champs can remove his ability with much of a hassle and it makes him so much weaker.

    But he’s still a top mystic battlegrounds champ. Seen him do the most insane stuff in 40 seconds and take out some of the hardest defenders. Also, most cosmics don’t do much to him lol. I’ve even seen him take Herc pretty easily despite the infuriate

    Taskmaster reduces dubuff potency by 10% for each debuff applied on him. Havok needs to place 11 plasma to detonate. Taskmaster will never receive the 11th plasma... so it never detonates.

    Shocker vs Maestro (before shocker nerf)
    Magneto Red vs Prowler (Prowler is metal)
    Onslaught vs Nimrod (shock immune, neuroshocks)
    Havok vs Shuri (shocks)
