Blade is straight up OP he was brought in to eliminate Mystics from war. Basically instead of balancing MD and avoiding the calls for compensation from everyone that invested in it they created a champ that forces all these defenders into retirement. More backwards nerfing, kabam creates a bandaid solution to balancing and compensating the players. I’m not a fan of nerfing but straight up blade doesn’t even have to jump thru any hoops he just trashes all the previously top defenders. The bigger problem is what crappy solution will they come up with to counter blade when he’s on everyone war team.

Why should he have to jump through hoops when those same defenders literally get a bar of power bc you swiped back?
Why should he have to jump through hoops when magik can drain half OGV’s life in 3 seconds just because he pushed her over a bar of power for a fraction of a second before draining her entire power bar? Oops.. still getting melted by limbo.
Those defenders have long been a farce. Now kabam provided their kryptonite without nerfing the mastery, allowing it to still be useful on offense. I’m ok with it.
I’m sure the counter will be a-hole defenders that can’t enable danger sense.
Well if we're going to nerf blade we may as well nerf Star Lord again, he doesn't need synergy to be good, just awakened, stop his damage from scaling with combo streak counter, lets cap it at 50.
Again if we had more ways to deal with mystics wars, we wouldnt be having these threads daily. People asked for certain champs to get buffed, what did they do? Add synergies from the newer champs. The game will always be about having the latest and greatest champs. Making new characters look good is there job. Remember when hyperion came out and dominated as a defender because people couldnt bait his specials? What about people complaining about mephisto in aw? If blade gets changed it will probably be only to danger sense, and even then people will still make threads complaining about Magik limbo damage. Some people will just never be satisfied.
EDIT: there are also other champs besides mystics and villains that you could put as a defender. Maybe think about that for a second. Alot of people wanted mystic wars to end so they put diversity. AND SO MANY PEOPLE complained about that.
I originally said he should be nerfed for the good of the game.
But HE IS good for the game. A lot less BS MD and we should be happy about it. Who cares how many kills we get on defense with our Magik's and Dorms if we face the same BS while we're on offense?
The better attackers we get for dealing with cash grab defenders the better.
No need to write "nerf anyone" threads anymore. Once a champ comes out, they should never be touched by the game developers or anyone else. If proper testing wasnt done before the release, thats no reason to penalize anyone that plays the game. People spend their time and hard earned money on this game based on what is released and how it affects their gameplay and roster. Based on this, they spend more hard earned money leveling and ranking up these champs using resources they either bought or acquired through playing the game. I would rather the champ be left alone and have to suck it up when facing them instead of releasing and then modifying them to ****. Test the champs before release or leave them alone. You want to prevent people from acquiring these champs once released, then if you see a problem with them down the line, dont nerf them. Either stop releasing them in crystals or come out with a champ to counter them. Dont keep penalizing everyone playing and then hide behind the pathetic excuse of "not working as intended". If you test it fully before release, this would very rarely ever be a problem.
For the record I like many have said that MD and the toll booth degen champs are broken AF, my preference would be to see those abilities balanced better to not be so cheap but blade has simply put those guys out to pasture. I’m not asking for blade to be nerfed I would prefer them to not create these broken situations in the first place. And it’s super frustrating that any fix is always held up because they are too stingy to properly compensate players when they take something from them. We shouldn’t have to have a 12.0 situation annually because they can’t see the broken web they weave.
