Did they try to make the Raid with MODOK a new spring of sorrow on an absurd level?

I don't know what the idea was here, but if it was to make us suffer, they nailed it.
I'm tasked with taking down MODOK without him being stunned, okay! But how come special attacks don't count?
You have to give him heavy attack, then he comes and hits you in the face and kills your hero with just one combo.
They said to use the striker, but tell me how to do it when you don't have the striker yet and you're still trying to build damage and this mission comes 4 times in a row?
In my best fights and with luck the maximum I managed to take was around 8%, in my alliance almost no one is to throw damage from him.
Because kabam decided to take something that was good to do and turn it into the Spring of Horror and make you cry with anger. Thank you, you did it...

Wtf, how can he autoblock and counterattack so fast
Biggest problem is the repeat no damage prompts. Whiff attack and hit into block constantly popping up and the bug where only heavies count as knockdown. Setting most alliances up for a terrible grind to get 100%.
Raids would have been fine if they didn’t use the grandmaster style for modok and created some new fun way to beat him while preserving difficulty. I hope Kabam reads these and realizes that of all the game modes raids has a steep cost to all players joining.
Most alliances aren’t exploring AQ, because most players don’t like the mode (don’t blame them it’s repetitive, lengthy and boring and timeline for 100% completion of aq is pretty tight.) most of us are giving up on incursion crystals to pay for raids or giving up on loyalty shop to pay for raids.
I like this game mode because it’s fun to see massive yellow numbers. Difficulty to me is on par to low RNG for high prizes. Is a few 7* shards, 50% t6cc, and final prize worth the price of entry? Especially given the new daily quest they proposed during their most recent livestream? Absolutely not.
It’s a shame because I find raids 100% more enjoyable that AQ (old raids design). I could accept the RNG when it was a chill mode where you could blast big numbers and have some fun. I get the need to tie this event into sagas. The node selections in combination of the grandmaster type fight just looked obviously flawed to many of us on first glance. I can’t see how this was tested at all, unless they let MSD and Karate Mike give it the testing 😂.
All being said I am confident that the Kabam folks will make this right as I am sure they can see most enjoy this aspect of the game and they will want to have continued success.
Last thought. Kabam you just promoted a new daily super event where the rewards are a choice of three items, I believe that raids could be similar to this. Personally I rather have consistency in rewards for the high cost than a small chance to get a full titan. Cost in to cost out. I know the daily event will be successful you should see how that goes and look into replicating in raids. And of course redesign modok fight. 😘
The truth is that this appears to be bugged.
That's why there are difficulties, imagine having to make a heavy attack with your guard open.
But with MODOK's mechanics, it's worse in this fight. His damage on defense is very high. And if a combo hits you, your life is over.
The truth is that this fight is a real horror.
I'm guessing it's a bug where specials should be counted, but they aren't for reasons unknown.
^ This is me giving kabam the benefit of the doubt, because surely this wasn't intentional. Surely they tested the fight properly before rolling it out...
I saw a video of a player parrying and taking down at heavyweight, and the mission of taking down without stunning still counted. Even knocking down the stunned MODOK.
If you use a champ with a two hit heavy, you can parry, charge your heavy and watch the stun timer, then release just before it expires. The first hit will hit while he’s stunned, but the second hit (which knocks him down) hits after the stun expired.
This worked every time for me using Hulkling.
It's not a good fight.
* You spend resources to play
* Its motivation to complete the tedium that is AQ
Raids were fun and interesting. Modok ruined it (and the great pool of useless champs doesn't help either)
also the entry cost his horrible compared to my reward luck. basicaly I get much better rewards from my daily crystals all the time. so that said, this was the last raid I have played. I do not care for this kind of repetive overly dificult content. Let the youtubers have fun trying to beat this overly dificult stuff the devs try to create in hopes nobody can realy beat it.
This is not the kind of challenge I play for fun. I would rather not play at all (oh, and yes I mostly do that challenging stuff like nekro or sos)
