Is Red Skull R3 worthy?

I am looking to rank 3 a defender. Red Skull is theoretically one of my best options. I have a couple hesitations with taking him to rank 3 for defensive purposes.

He has a low health pool. Like really low. My other issue is the amount of counters to this guy. Almost everyone I run into has a maxed out CGR and he destroys him in ~25 seconds. Hercules and Adam can do the fight as well. I’ve even seen a few R3 Corvus’ that destroy him just as fast. Does anyone have experience with him at R3 as a defender? Worth it or no?

    Worthy, just not as worthy as a couple months ago. Don’t sleep on his ability as an attacker.

    As a starter tech, I think worthy—but there are better tech choices. What made him special as a defender has been neutered substantially, but he is also a sneaky good attacker.

    Just depends on your other choices.

    If you dupe him, then yes …as you gain armor up much faster.

    Pulled the trigger myself a few days ago. Don’t think I’ll regret it. He’s got a few extra counters now, but that won’t save your opponent if they don’t get them in the draft, and if they do you can still pivot him to attacker use because he’s still great there (including as a potential sneaky option against Bullseye). Plus you always get a few fights where Red Skull decides to be real passive and you accidentally hit his block once and boom that’s a big burst of damage that may cost you the match. Still well worth it.

    Ironically this is the reason i havent r3ed him yet (in case i get a tech class gem from Cyber Monday) as rather use the mats on a class with many good options like mutant mystic science

    my 7* rank 3 Adam warlock is my 2nd go to counter to him ( as he's always banned so have to use CGR )

    what you do is don't activate the counter at start

    just play normally and build 2.5 bars of power

    bait sp1 punish it with heavy let him hold block

    dash in with medium and activate sp2 before you land any hit ( it will activate counter with 10 )

    then you don't have to worry about autoblock or anything

    Adam has true damage buff which ignores all armor and resistances. He also got unblockable buffs to counter auto block.

    But you have to hit the opponent every 2 seconds to keep these buffs up. He is one of the best counters besides cgr.

    Can there be a maybe option since it depends who ever u fight has a scream who makes red skull not get any armor ups since her sig ability removes all that armor and he wont gain any new ones

    I would probably have rank 3ed him if I had him by now. Needs awakening but you'll hit it eventually. There are some hard counters for him but he is a tricky fight if you don't pull the right option for Battleground.

    I’m wondering how he has been neutered? My only decent counters are cgr, kate and hulkling, and hulkling I have to take some damage to get the first pierce up.
