Setting the ingame language to English fixes the problem with the wrong amount but when I switch back to German it's still 500 7* shards for 3500.

Don't know if it's just a visual bug though.

It's a visual bug with the localization, we are looking into it.
    It’s not a visual bug…

    Math is mathing.
    ...
But frankly, I won't be buying 7* shards, no more, with half a t4a at stake in BG store.
Combine this with glory and super daily event, we are looking at an r3 every 3 to 4 weeks.

Your show it just a visual. Bug 11k to 21k so where is the bug

Way too expensive now. 500 7* shards for 3500 tokens??? This is ridiculous. It's almost double the cost for the same amount of shards. That's a very bad change.

Maybe actually read what you are buying instead of assuming it is still 500 7 star shards
I have the same isssue so he is not assuming, you are assuming!!!

yeah taking out the 5* shards is a big loss, taking resources away is detrimental to playing

You bought 10 and got 10k, so it is a visual bug.
    Exactly, lol
Shows pics showing they actually got 1000x each added to their shards inventory, so thus only a visual bug.
Then says “not a visual bug” ?

We need an explanation for why they would remove these items. There is no reason for it. I'd rather have it than the t4a option. Yes, rly

I honestly think the removal of the lower tier rewards like 5* sig stones, t4b, 5* shards, t4cc selector and more is a huge blunder on Kabams part. I’m a valiant player and one of my main reasons to play battlegrounds is to be able to gain these materials to rank up 6*s. I have over 80 7*s but still rank up 6*s for account rating. The 5* shards and 5* sig stones help with gaining more 6* shards and then gaining more 7* shards in the long run too. Also with the addition of reworks I may want to rank up a 6* but barely have the option to be able to rank these up. With using glory I can r3 one single 6* a week now?? That’s honestly horrendous I believe that we should either have the choice to have these in our bgs store as a personal replacement (not everyone’s accounts) or to just add these back. There was literally no reason to remove these things. Your options to gain t4b now are units, glory or doing eq/sq which no one likes. Please revert this or add someplace new with these things.

exactly!! i still have plenty enough 6* r2s to require resources for more than 1/week without using units in the rank up store, maybe that's the goal.. plus the iso from 5* and so on

I say kabam should update bg store according to progresion. I think that should be fair for proven to valiant. It should be 4* shards,5* 6* and 7* shards, for same price but slight different amount. For example: 200 battlechips for 500 shards 6* proven and same 200 battlechips for 1000 shards cavalier, thronebreaker and same amount 200 battlechips for 2000 6* shards for paragon and valiant. As many players said before. These are good for iso

As much as you are pushing people into progression, removing these items (without context of where they will re-appear in-game) is a MASSIVE leap into regression and even when it's finally announced where they will come back in-game, every single one of us knows that it will require more time and effort to obtain, they will not be available in anywhere near the same quantity they were and comparatively will be ludicrously more expensive!!!

I'm actually someone that uses the lower progression items and wouldn't mind seeing them either reappear in the BG store or reappear elsewhere. However, this is an interesting perspective. What you're saying is if the devs update a store, and the intent is to shift items from one place to another place over time, if they *don't* explicitly tell you all their plans for how everything will eventually shake out, something they generally cannot do, the changes will be looked upon negatively. You're making the case for the devs never updating stores, because the only way they can do it without making "everyone" unhappy is impossible.

Also, I'm not sure who every single one of you is, but I don't know that everything will take more time and effort to obtain. Historically, that actually hasn't been the case for lower progression items. Over time, they have generally become much easier to get, even as they shift around. I have no idea how anyone could get that idea from a proper recollection of the facts. Recent case in point: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/381965/another-weird-way-to-get-gold-and-a-literally-broken-way-to-get-t4b. But also, that's generally been the case for lower catalysts. There was once a similar fear of lower rarity champion crystals suffering a similar fate, where higher progression players would simply stop getting them or have to pay for them, but that hasn't generally been true either.

What I imagine is it will be an apothecary type reform: Remove the abundance of resource and replace with a mere fraction of what we were getting, for example - a daily quest where we get one 6* sig stone crystal for completion and one generic for exploration with the chance of getting a +5 generic.

The apothecary is a very special case, and if that's where your angst comes from, that's understandable but misplaced. Revives were never meant to be infinitely farmable as they were. The apothecary was added to provide a way to do so in a limited fashion when they removed the easy farms. That was not the devs shifting revive farming from one place to another. That was the devs removing a borderline exploit from the game and replacing it with a compromise opportunity. That has nothing to do with the game team balancing in-game stores, all of which provide resource opportunities that are actually intended to be there at all in the first place.

I just know that I used the 5* shards consistently as a primary source of targetted ISO by regularly buying up the dual-class crystals with them

Valiants: can you still purchase 6* sig stones in the BG store?
I wish I had known that 5* sig stones were going to get removed from the store when I reached Paragon, I definitely would've stocked up on them, because I can't max sig my Quake and Magik now other than by chasing a few stones here and there.

It’s clear from this thread—and many others across the community—that the recent removal of lower-tier items such as Tier 4 Basic Catalysts, Tier 4 Class Catalysts, and other essential resources from the Battlegrounds store has been met with near-universal disapproval. What’s even more frustrating is that Kabam Crashed has seen this thread, acknowledged its existence, and yet there has been no meaningful comment or engagement to address the community’s backlash.

This silence feels like a slap in the face to the players who have spent time providing thoughtful feedback. The decision to remove these items without a viable alternative in place has left many of us struggling to rank up our champions efficiently. For example, as a newer Paragon player, I’m working hard to rank up my six stars to stay competitive. But now, if I want to take a six-star champion from rank one to rank two, my options are:
    1. Spend Glory – Glory is a resource that should ideally be reserved for higher-end materials like Tier 4 Alpha Fragments to push progression. But now I’m forced to spend it on items that were previously far more affordable in the Battlegrounds store. And let’s not forget, the prices for these resources in the Glory store haven’t been adjusted to reflect their new importance, making this an expensive and inefficient option.
    2. Spend Units – To rank up a single six-star champion from rank one to two, I would need seven Tier 4 Basic Catalysts and seven Tier 4 Class Catalysts. At the current cost of 10 units per item in the Rank-Up Resource Store, this totals 140 units—roughly equivalent to £4. Essentially, I now need to spend real money for something that used to be far more accessible to free-to-play players.

I have also raised two separate support tickets with Kabam directly regarding this issue, both of which were closed without providing any actionable information or acknowledgment of my concerns. Instead, I was directed to the forums to make a post, which feels dismissive and unprofessional. The fact that Kabam introduced such a significant change, saw the immediate and overwhelming backlash from the community, and still failed to provide any immediate alternative or simultaneous replacement for these items is deeply frustrating. Players are now left in limbo, potentially for months—or even years, as has been the case with other delays from Kabam. The items that have been removed are still incredibly relevant for in-game players. They provide a way to obtain ISO for upgrading champions, upgrade lower-tier relics, and generate additional six-star shards (and by extension, seven-star shards) through five-star dupes. These resources also help players progress by ranking up champions and enhancing their utility in arenas or restricted content. Taking them away without an immediate replacement is simply unacceptable.

The removal of these items without introducing an immediate, equivalent alternative is not just frustrating—it feels like a deliberate attempt to force players into spending money or slowing their progression significantly. And let’s not ignore the fact that content creators, players within the Creator Program, and countless posts on various platforms all raised these same concerns before this change was implemented. The community spoke loud and clear, but it seems Kabam went ahead anyway.

The fact that a moderator has seen this thread, observed the backlash, and still no meaningful communication has been made takes the frustration to another level. It feels like a complete disregard for the player base—a massive middle finger to the people who support this game, both financially and through their time and dedication.

Kabam has repeatedly stated that they aim to improve the game for players of all levels, but decisions like this tell a very different story. We don’t want vague promises of “making these items available elsewhere in the contest”; we need concrete, actionable solutions now. Until then, this change will continue to harm both free-to-play and paying players alike, stifling progress and driving more dissatisfaction within the community.

It’s time for Kabam to listen, communicate transparently, and take real steps to address the concerns of their player base. Ignoring us only makes things worse.

Rich covered this thread on the MCN this morning. I hope it doesn’t disappear or get forgotten about. Hopefully we hear from Kabam on this soon. I bought the 3 and 4 star relic shards, sometimes 5 star shards, 5 star sig stones, and rank up mats to level up my champs for arena and max sig

    1. Support is not there to process your game suggestions. There is nothing support can do about any of this.

    2. Whenever I see "universal disapproval" I usually start considering if it is time to start tuning the subject out completely.

    3. Glory is not a top tier rank up currency. Glory is not what you think it is supposed to be. Glory was explicitly added to the game to replace map crystals which offered random but tiered catalysts. Historically, AQ maps generated rewards of higher tier for higher maps. This meant that when players moved up in maps, they could stop getting lower catalysts. In particular, there was the T1 alpha bottleneck. 5* champs required a lot of T1 alpha to rank up, but t1 alpha was a lower tier catalyst. So if an alliance moved up to high maps, say Map 5 or map 6, they would stop getting the crystals that contained T1 Alpha. This created a bottleneck where players couldn't rank up 5* champs from the lower ranks. Glory was explicitly added to fix this issue. Players could now run any map they wanted to, and still get the resources they needed. If they wanted to buy lower tier stuff, they could, without switching maps.

In effect, this complaint not only fails to recognize the intended purpose of Glory, it completely undermines your own argument to put the lower stuff back into the BG store. On the one hand you're saying you want the freedom to buy lower stuff from the BG store, but you are also saying no one should be spending or expected to spend Glory on lower stuff in the Glory store. That's self contradictory. If you believe Glory should never be spent on lower tier catalysts, you should have no problem with those catalysts disappearing from the BG store. Its the same situation: the question is one of player agency: how much freedom players should have to spend currency on what they need.

That freedom comes with responsibilities. If you want the freedom to spend currencies on what you need, you have the responsibility to actually do so when the opportunity presents itself. You can't say you want the freedom to choose, but if you decide not to exercise that option the game is broken and you deserve more stuff. Freedom to choose comes with the freedom to choose unwisely.
The problem with glory store is the cost increase even for old items like t1 alpha, they definitely should remove that, it's terrible value paying 60/65 glory for t1 alpha or a t4 basic. I still don't understand why we ever had this cost increse in the glory store making us unable to focus on certain items and forces us to buy a bit of everything not to get scammed by the cost increase

Personally enjoyed having the little things in there too. 5* shards, for ISO. 3* and 4* relic shards for embers. Even enjoyed the 5* sig stones for maxing out champs. Preferred that they would leave those things in the store and just adjust the price and limits on everything.

You can't say you want the freedom to choose, but if you decide not to exercise that option the game is broken and you deserve more stuff. Freedom to choose comes with the freedom to choose unwisely.
While I appreciate the effort you’ve made in explaining the history of Glory and its intended purpose, your response not only misunderstands my argument but also sidesteps the core issue raised here. Let me address your points one by one:

    1. “Support is not there to process your game suggestions. There is nothing support can do about any of this.”

I am fully aware of the limitations of support. However, as a paying customer and a long-time player, I have the right to raise concerns about changes to the game that impact progression. Kabam directs players to support for feedback, yet when we submit thoughtful, detailed tickets, they are closed without meaningful responses. This dismissive behavior reflects poorly on the company, and it’s important for players to highlight it publicly.

    2. “Whenever I see ‘universal disapproval,’ I usually start considering if it is time to start tuning the subject out completely.”

This is a lazy dismissal of widespread player concerns. The backlash against these changes is undeniable—it’s clear from this thread, numerous others, and across multiple platforms, including content creator videos and social media. If your reaction to legitimate criticism is to ignore it rather than engage with the substance of the argument, it’s no wonder players feel disconnected and unsupported by the community.

    3. “Glory is not a top-tier rank-up currency…”

Your history lesson on Glory’s purpose is irrelevant to the current issue. Regardless of its original intent, Glory has become an essential resource for higher-tier players, particularly with the rise of Paragon and Valiant tiers. It is now stretched thinner than ever before due to the removal of critical items from the Battlegrounds store. You mention that Glory provides player choice, but this argument falls apart when you realize that choices are limited to begin with:

    • A Paragon player now has to spend nearly half their weekly Glory on Tier 4 Class Catalysts just to rank up one six-star champion from Rank 2 to 3.

    • This is a significant downgrade from the previous Battlegrounds store setup, where players could rank up three six-star champions per week using Battlegrounds currency, freeing up Glory for higher-tier resources.

By your logic, forcing players to spend an overwhelming proportion of their limited resources on something they previously had better options for constitutes “freedom.” It does not. It is a deliberate narrowing of options that penalizes players for no discernible reason.

    4. “If you believe Glory should never be spent on lower tier catalysts, you should have no problem with those catalysts disappearing from the BG store.”

This argument is flat-out wrong and reflects a misunderstanding of the problem. The Battlegrounds store provided a second avenue for acquiring these items, easing the strain on Glory and enabling players to rank up more champions. Its removal doesn’t grant players “freedom”; it forces them into a bottleneck. More choices—not fewer—provide true freedom.

    5. “Freedom to choose comes with the freedom to choose unwisely.”

This condescending remark assumes that players are incapable of managing their resources wisely. The community’s backlash against this change is not about players demanding “more stuff” or mismanaging their currencies. It’s about a system that previously offered balance and progression being stripped away without a simultaneous alternative in place.

If Kabam’s goal was to create a “premium” Battlegrounds store, then they should have implemented a replacement for these items at the same time. Leaving players in limbo for months (or longer, given Kabam’s track record) while pretending this was a positive change is unacceptable.

Finally, I’d like to address the tone of your response. It seems less concerned with constructive dialogue and more interested in belittling and dismissing player frustrations. Comments like yours contribute to the toxicity that pervades this community and do nothing to further meaningful conversation or solutions.

I hope this clarifies my position. If not, I would encourage you to engage with the actual points raised rather than hiding behind condescension or tangential arguments

Amen brother. Get ready for the inevitable condescending response that re-explains Kabam’s wisdom and belittles any player who dares to disagree.

Kabam, keep it together, at least for the sake of the children!!! We beg you to re-think this decision, PLEASE?

As players progress through the game with various different currencies, surely, it should be a perk that, as well as a beneficial price on "premium" items/products/resources we should also have access to everything below our personal progression levels and be able to spend these various currencies on whatever makes the game fun for each individual player?

Let's take real life for example: People work hard, they earn money, some people work really hard to get themselves loads of money but there is no one along the way saying "You've reached 500k annual, you're no longer allowed to buy these things that make your life fun. You are only allowed to buy these....enjoy!"
It doesn't work like that, they have a choice to buy whatever they want based on their (real life AND in-game) "progression level" and you have ripped that away from the entire community!!

What I imagine is it will be an apothecary type reform: Remove the abundance of resource and replace with a mere fraction of what we were getting, for example - a daily quest where we get one 6* sig stone crystal for completion and one generic for exploration with the chance of getting a +5 generic.

I couldn't agree more. I'm currently ranking my 4* and 5* champs and the modified Battlegrounds store has severely neutered my access to T1 and T2 Alpha. Please reconsider this.

    It’s clear from this thread....

Hello. I haven't responded because I don't have much to add. The post announcing the changes specifies the intent, that the BG store is intended to become a more premium offering.

What I will add is that we can't just keep adding more things to the store as we add more progressions. The store is already too big. Imagine 10 years from now with 8 more progressions and dozens of new catalysts. It's just not sustainable to keep adding without ever removing anything. Having said that, we do want to make some of this stuff available elsewhere in a more sustainable way. Likely the Trader's Outpost will be the spot.

To your comment about "near-universal disapproval" I'm sorry but that's just disconnected from reality. We have the telemetry and the VAST majority of Paragon and Valiant players never bought the stuff we removed. That's what led to the decision to remove it. However I do acknowledge this change has impacted a small number of Summoners who feel very strongly about it, and as a result we are accelerating our plans to replace the relevant sources.

Thanks for remind me ,there are 5 stars crystal shards on Traders Outpost.

    Its ok then

If they flood the game with lower stars and mats the player complains about bad rewards.
If they take them away the player complains about how much those lower rewards mean....
    🤦

What a ridiculous strawman. When was the last time 5* shards were the main reward focus of end game content? And even those few relic shards being there are completely different from opting those rewards in a store.

It's not the same people making these complaints
