Are people really able to knock these carina challenges out with a handful of revives?

Nercopolis kicked my butt first time through. Are the average players supposed to be able to knock these out with a handful of revives or do I just suck

The one that looks rough is the Carina Challenger. The pool is limited to champs that you need loyalty crystal luck in Void and Howard or have whaled for moleman/longshot etc.

Some you can do others not, feels good to me

Just spam revives and level up the key champions for it. Kabam literally donates you the key champs for the challenges. Also all the deathless champs were easy grabs

Having some champs at 7r3 makes necropolis alot easier than last time around especially ones that weren't even released like onslaught and serpent.

Accounts are much bigger and champs at r3 with decent sigs doesn't make necropolis easy but much less of a endless slog when you can take even a million damage on a bad run on annoying defenders like Chavez.

Necro could easily be done F2P and was the easiest bit of endgame content we’ve had
Still for some its tough content

I drained a lot of my stash on the CCP EOP challenges a couple months back, and have slowly acquired 200 free crystals again and whatever’s in my stash and overflow at the moment.

When I finished 100% Necro early Jan of this year, I probably could’ve done it a lot cheaper, but patience is my biggest issue. I didn’t want to spend 10-15 mins in each fight. It was unga bunga with Aegon and blitz through, rarely reading the nodes.

Since there are actually tailored pools of champs for each of these challenges now, I’m going to plan a bit better and take my time. Practice until I get a perfect first fight and the continue, etc.

Worst case, I lose patience again and just want to get it done, in which case maybe those bonus unit offers for Christmas present themselves again, and I’ll be stocked up to play sloppily lol.

True, that's just the wide range of players we have. For some the Paragon Gauntlet is tough content. For others, Act 6 is a complete show stopper. There's stuff I can do that 90% of the playerbase can't do, but there's also stuff the top players do that just ain't happening with my hands at the controls.

I wouldn't say Kabam designed Necro in the hopes players purchase units with cash to do it, at least not any more than they do everything else. Everything in this game is designed so that some people will be able to do it easily, some will be able to do it with difficulty, and some maybe can't do it at all. Every reward in the game has a certain level of effort required to get it, which is different for every player. And of all those players, *some* will settle for what they can get, and some will spend to get more.

That's true for Act 5 just as much as Necropoilis. It isn't that Necropolis was designed to get players to spend. It is that *everything* is designed in such a way that *some* will choose to spend. That's just how F2P microtransaction supported games work.

Necropolis was well within the realm of the top 10-20% of players, say, doing it completely for free. For end game content, that's generally considered moderately difficult, but not terribly difficult.
Also necro was rewarding skill of can u dex specials rooted if can u solo it wasnt punishing it rewarded very well that, it was still hard since for me i do not know how to dex every special rooted and wouldnt risk that, id rather do as much damage then die and revive but thats just me on certain specials like sauron was hard with root that i did practise as had to

You know that 6* champions are still options, right? When Necro dropped last year, it was not unusual for people to be using unascended R4 and R5 6* champs, because that is what we had available at that time. My first run was with R4 unascended Aegon. And while yeah, it was item intensive, it wasn’t back breaking.

I get it though, ranking 6*s isn’t fun these days. I just had to this, and it felt so wong.
These challenges made me realize I don't even have a 6* Wong.
Opened by Mystic Abyss, and still nothing. Guess I will just wait out this challenge till I get a Wong, one way or the other.

I don't think that's true at all. Spending cash blindly doesn't get you far in the game. Even if you have 30 R3s, the game will crush you unless you read, strategize, and execute.

the challenges are pretty well designed. Apart from taking a long time to complete, most of the fights will have a counter for (And yes, Carina has always been an end-game content so i'll see it as everybody have the champs needed).

I did all 5 challenges in around 60 revives and 100 lv4/5 pots. Apart from r1 wong and r1 g2099 (which are the 2 main carry in 2 challenges), i have the remaining suitable counters ranked up. R1 wong and g2099 did a great job for me though, wong can still solo fights , i even nailed some solos like titty, airwalker, wiccan, apoc, sam, .... Having wiccan as #10 year really helped a lot, as he will be the direct counter for gm phase 4 and give wong extended spells time

Dont worry OP, I havent done any of them yet and I'm not afraid to admit I'm no good so when I blast through you'll see what an average unskilled guy can do.

It's ok to use this argument as trolling. But you make sure that people get it is sarcasm.
It's not cool when you mean it.

And the numbers speaks for itself.
MOST Players haven't done necron exploration or have done a single completion.

If you haven't explored Necro yet - would it be worth continuing the rest of the path as you complete the challenges, or would that be too difficult and you're better off quitting out after completing the 2 challenges and doing the full paths with a "normal" team?
