So if you haven’t noticed, the balancing details for both Patriot and Leader is out. Patriot is getting buffed (this is a W for the skill class), but Leader will be staying as is. Do you agree or disagree with this? Should he have gotten a buff?

    still I don’t understand why she comes with a sniper, she doesn’t use it 😭
    I wanted her to use it on her sp2 or heavy attack

    No
    As someone with a 7* R2 Leader, he doesn't need the buff. He's no CGR but is a very safe option in most places with a bit of skilled gameplay. His debuffs counter plenty of annoying healing and power gain nodes. He also has good damage with a combination of his SP3 and the green door.

    He should have gotten a minor tuneup, but I still hold to the fact that he’s largely fine (much better than people give him credit for at least, I don’t know how anyone can possibly think he’s “the worst champ released in the last 5 years”). The damage is lacking but it’s usable enough in any content where the healthpools aren’t 7 digits, and the utility continues to be great. I’ll continue to use Leader as I have been for the last several months.

    Personally think he's fine as he is. Sure a buff would have been nice but I'd rather they focus on Patriot who actually needs it.

    I've used leader a lot since he came out and he's possibly my favourite champion of the year, his damage in non target matchups is still solid albeit slow, his utility is unique in how it works and leads to some bonkers damage in a lot of matchups, and he's generally easy to play once you get the spacing right.

    Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm not disappointed that they're leaving him as is

    It was bugged and then fixed. There was no nerf

    I honestly feel like it’s more a case they’re buffing too many other champs so Leader got screwed. As has been said, he doesn’t need a complete overhaul but just an increase in damage and fix the green door mechanic.

    I was just hoping for his specials to apply a root so you could trap defenders on the door. That would have been a small damage bump and made the door mechanic so much more rewarding.

    That requires some extra maneuvering to make it line up. I know I push defenders off the door enough that I started just parry stunning them on the door to get some extra ticks of damage. I think a root would make it more reliable to give him a slight damage bump without needing the SP3.

    And if makes him too much on defense they could always say it only works on attack but I think it would make him more than just a stall defender. You could easily play around it but if you slip up and get rooted on that door you’re taking a big hit.

    But at this point we’ll never know. He’s ok as is so it will be years before he’s up for any changes with the new cadence.

    It takes no more setting up than the rest of his combos and he's supposed to be a spacing focused champion. Backing up a little and firing a special isn't that hard
