I spent 15k in Black Friday, and I spend also some cash not only to get that but also to have some extra for the awesome banquet event coming. I was ready to spend some more on Christmas. I'm not a big spender, but I do buy some offers here and there.
But I won't, I don't feel any fun or engage with this event so I'll be doing something else that appeals me more, and I'll spend it somewhere else, there are endless better ways to spend my money.
The reasons are what other players have said, but basically for me it is not FUN to open crappy crystals. It feels like a chore, and I already have them in my life, don't need them in my hobbies.
Next Year 2025 our alliance will not spend on banquet and will spend on Cyber weekend. The deals are better for Cyber and we will know we are getting vs banquet. 1% of everything lol. Kabamed by Kabam
Well guess what next year suddenly they make the greatest banquet event and you have zero unit more to spend. Surprise 🤣
They gave out 10 champs for the anniversary. Say they gave out the new one to everyone and an extra 7*, then instead put 8 extra 7* into the lower milestones. You would have got the same and no difference....that is really the info they are looking for, how to redistribute to make more happy.
They can move averages around to a set amount of t6cc, but the end on the average is the same for what they wanted to push out.
This isn't in defense, but the realism of how things could have been redistributed and made you feel better.
Drop boxes should be illegal in the first place, but we will move past that, even though it is how they say, the house always wins....and where the discussion really is.
However, with this great community event, you should be happy they just added a few more rewards for medium to higher spenders to...entice more spending, 🤣
My largest concern is them using this event feedback as a twisted backend way to help justify an arena nerf. I know this is a stretch, but I want them to leave arena alone!
Being charitable, there's not a great deal that I suspect Kabam can do. They are probably running reduced staff numbers because it's the day before Christmas Eve. Any changes they could make need to be limited and targeted, because anything bigger could take the game down over Christmas and that would be huge.
If they can do something, part of me thinks that it could be a Stark Foundation intervention or possibly boosting the Christmas gift. They may already have plans for a Stark Foundation intervention in case the event faltered, so may have to move the timing up.
Anything else, we're short on time this side of the festive break. I'm hopeful that, as this isn't just here but Reddit, YT etc then this may get some traction and something gets done.
Please stop grouping Valiants with any other progression level. Valiants have better availability in the Glory & BG store for the items that you are selling for 300 units per pop.
They need to give full points for those who bought the tickets beforehand, they need to lower the milestones, and send some crystals out as compensation for the horrible drop rates. Just my opinion.
After asking what we would recommend they're eerily silent. Some are saying Kabam doesn't care, but I don't think it's that - I'm not sure they know what to do or how to fix it and keep the customer happy. I've been playing this game for the better part of 10 years and for the past few years or so it seems like the Kabam folks have been struggling. I think in ways the game has become too big and unwieldy because the beginning stuff needs to remain and be maintained to make the game accessible for new players, but you need to keep it interesting for established players who probably spend the majority of the money. It's almost like the game has become too broad to manage.
I could be totally wrong about this, but as an example I see it in Alliance War rewards. AW rewards used to something to anticipate (6* nexus crystal and all), but now they're only likely to be interesting to lower tier players. I just became Valiant last night and the store opened up amazingly, but even as a Paragon I could daily get most of the AW rewards out of one store or another, and the Super Daily Event has rendered AW rewards meaningless as a goal. We're seeing the same thing here in the Banquet Event. For lower tier players these crystal rewards might be decent, but for Paragon and up we can get most of these things daily. Heck, I don't ever run TB EQ because the rewards aren't worth the effort.
I think what would make a difference here in almost every aspect of rewards is to create a system of stratified bonuses. Maybe Cavalier is the base and they get whatever the base rewards are. TB, Paragon, and Valiant would then get a different level of bonus rewards based on progression. That way there don't need to be shifting structural changes for the Kabam folks to manage - these bonus rewards would be easily restructured to account for changing ranking materials drift.
I’ve already posted about my disappointment with the Grand Banquet Event, and after some thought, here’s what I’d do if I were Kabam:
1. Improve the Crystals: Right now, the SBCs are filled with small insegnificant rank up materials, that feel horrible to pay 300 units for. I’d eliminate the small frags and shards, and only include fully formed catalysts and increase drop rate for the top-tier items like Titan shards and Trophy champs. We all know how great it feels to open a crystal that actually matters in som way.
2. Reimburse the Players: I’d give everyone an anount equal to the SBCs they’ve already opened, allowing everyone a fair shot at the improved rewards.
3. Unlock All Event Milestones: To really show appreciation for the community, I’d unlock every milestone in the realm event. This would ensure that everyone feels rewarded and valued, as there would be no mcoc without the players
4. Send Out Special Packages: Considering how much everyone has invested, I’d send out grand compensation packages based on the number of SBCs opened and progression level, making sure not to separate valiant and paragon players(as there are alot of players who have shared theirs opinion on this)
5. Balance the Economy: Given the upcoming introduction of Rank 4, any small disruptions caused by these changes would have less of an impact. This would be a minute price for maintaining the health and happiness of our community.
The dumbest thing I’ve seen here. It’s insane to me how incredibly out of touch the concersation has gotten. If you participate in this yeae’s banquet and either buy all 4 bundles in the store or spend the necessary units to max out all the milestones on the realm event, the value is colossally higher than any of the previous years. This year, there is a much less rng dependent spread of rewards for EVERYONE who puts up the points. The glorious guardians are all AMAZING to INSANE champions. All of them have value. There are TWO whole 7 star awakening gems and a 7 star Isophene dupe in these milestones. WHAT EXACTLY MORE DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN FROM THE CRYSTALS?
unlocking all them realm milestones might be too much, but for me if they to the first part of revamping the crystals and sendin out an equal amout of crystals (that dont count twards the milestones), and doing something ontop of that would restore my faith and image of kabam. i dont like when a community is against the developers, and vice versa, but it really feels like kabam is just after the dollar, and iwould like to see something do challange that view

That'd be the nail in the coffin. Huge slap in the face to everyone put off by the last two years to finally get it right without any sort of reasonable compensation for these two robberies.
They need to make milestones with 3-10k units in there for everyone Who got a score of 30k+ in realm. Anything over 15k was a waste and people should get their value back in units since they certainly didn't get them back in rewards.
Kabam have now added a new bundle on the web store, which is the same price + a banquet key - so those who have already spent money, have missed out on a key. This is a good way to make those - who have already spent - happy.. lol

I boycotted spending after last years banquet. This banquet has made me boycott the event altogether. there's nothing they can do to ever convince me to waste money supporting this deceptive behavior in the future.
Why not gift everyone one additional crystal for each they have opened. Give the community 2 days notice and then compensate everyone with 1 additional crystal for each they have gotten so far. If you have opened 20, you get an additional 20, 80 an additional 80, etc. That way people can hit the additional milestones and you are not going to offset the balance of where people currently are, it you were 5th, you would still be 5th, so all the stack rankings would stay the same.
So I bought the 10 superior banquet crystal packs on the store. I bought 2 of them on the 20th Today I log on and see there are other offers as well now Odins and so on. I thought all we got was those 10 crystal offers…. So I do wish that I had known that before I bought the things I did or I’d most likely bought the Odin with the superior banquet crystals and banquet key instead.
