Gotta love this continued use of the realm event to manipulate things 🙄… they really need to make this the last one.
Just saw the 2-3 gem and trophy adds… wtf. So spend this much and get an R3 regardless of your progress. Complete devaluation of endgame rosters and emblematic of why this event is the worst one I’ve been apart of since picking up this game.
The new milestones confuse me. While I welcome the willingness to hear feedback and make adjustments, I don’t understand the rationale here. The event has morphed and morphed again—that appears to be a response to problems with crystals that virtually any veteran player could have pointed out before the event dropped.
Dr. Zola
It 100% feels like this that these changes only happened due to how the crystals had little value due to all the lowest amount drops
My last batch of crystals netted me an assortment of 10% T6c shards, a pair of 7* sig stones and a couple of pairs of T5c. That assortment was largely representative of most of my SBC batches, excluding only the rarest of exceptions.
The rough *cost* totaled about 1500 units, or the in-game equivalent of ~$50.
It is puzzling to me that someone greenlit this and determined that represented a good value proposition—allegedly in the name of preserving *balance* between F2P and spenders.
I can only assume this is the driving force behind the shifting milestone rewards.
The new realm milestones are a great addition in my eyes. Yes, they’re at a very high amount of points required, but getting another R3 and a 7* rare champ selector is a great improvement. The 7* selector is what I most wanted from rank rewards, personally.
Hoping we blow past the 5 billion mark and see even more milestones now lol
It should of been a generic and a limited selector over the rare selector
I have absolutely zero drive to spend another 1500 units for a 7* trophy champ that I'll never use.
Im way past the mark and i wouldnt think its worth the points
I'm at 27,920 points. If I'm gonna spend anymore, it's going to be in the last few hours of the event when I know where it's actually going to end (assuming they make the rewards worth it). Spending blindly and holding out faith that they'll reward us appropriately is a recipe for a bad time.

Im past 60k via spending too much that this is my last time spending as only spent as wanted the box keys as wanted 7 sentry and dusa which dusa was 4th key and sentry was my last key, so in all very awful luck with the box and the crystals being 10%s of stuff

They should of got people in the testing server these crystals to report feedback and 100% it was behind shifting rewards as they said they cant change crystals but can milestones, so it did change the milestones which is also bad when the ? Was to state no more rewards but extra stuff but adding these 2 new rewards or just 1 for people would well require spending
Seeing the extra milestones added to the realm event makes me sigh. If the argument for not having beefier Superior Banquet Crystals is it would be too overpowered for spenders, then why are the extra milestones rewards in the banquet aimed for those that open loads of crystals? The rationale just makes me so disenfranchised with the game and I do spend money it.
If there’s been enough time for kabam to discuss and add these milestones in, then there has been enough time to start addressing the concerns raised.
The SBC themselves may as well be deleted from the game and just have a button to spend 300 units to add to the realm score. That’s all this event is, it’s not a banquet event it’s a Realm Event, that gives disproportionate rewards.
When we had gifting event all the rewards were totally RNG but at least is was fair from a rewards perspective. We all had the same chance of rewards from our unit spend. Now, kabam has stripped the rewards out of the event and lumped them into a spending ladder, with **** at the bottom. So the rewards are no longer distributed fairly. So now spenders are rewarded twice, from the rank rewards (which is fine) but now also the realm event.
I don’t think this event can ever be saved. I was suckered in royally this year due to the rhetoric in the live stream the 10 year event. So next year just be transparent and rebrand it is a Realm Spending ladder and be done with it.

Or next year dont bother with banquet if its gonna be like this could of just made a new event and would be better community wise

keep the whales busy so they don't quit, but why double down with the banquet who knows?

It's wild that yalls resolution is to add more milestones but also have to pay more to get them.
I don't think it's intended as a resolution... I'm fairly certain these stretch milestones were planned in advance. They'd definitely say something if they were giving us something they hadn't planned on (like the 7* crystals added early on)

Some communication would be nice for sure
I agree, but I also remember last year. The only thing I was sure about going into this event was that some players would be upset and that Kabam would go radio silent until after it was over.

But they wont say anything on holiday and its the weekend the time we get communication it be wednesday-friday

Oh I know. I'm also expecting them to say well we hit our intended goal so tough luck and next year will be "better".

Because BONUS!
Yes the main rewards are the contributions that most players won't enjoy the benefits of contributing towards

Like last year they said they would do better just next time we wont take their word of better as this wasnt better in fact it might be worse
What's funny is lot of the complainers would be less upset if the rewards were presented differently. Kabam could have probably gotten away with giving us even less if they framed it correctly.
The problem is really that it feels bad to spend 300 units on a thing that doesn't give you good rewards immediately. People take the milestone rewards for granted and feel entitled to them because what they really want is the dopamine rush of gambling and winning.
Guaranteed stuff doesn't feel as good as getting a surprise.
Or maybe I've just been watching too much Rory Sutherland, what do I know...

Its more of last year they said crystals be better this year instead its worse to open and the rewards dont feel worth when the crystals are hot garbage

Yay they added new rewards in the milestones but making changes in the middle of the event is frustrating.
I underestimated the amount of units required for the Isophyne milestone and had to do a lot of last minute unit grinding and after reaching the requirement a few days ago I took a break from grinding units. Now, with only a few days left the bar is raised and I don’t have time to grind enough units. Also, what about players who reached the milestone and decided additional SBCs were not worth the units and spent them elsewhere?
Kabaam this is like that person that offers you a ride and then keeps pulling the car forward when you get close. It’s not funny, it’s cruel, because you want to stop chasing the car but you still need a ride…

FOMO feels bad but it's literally their entire business model.

Man, you really didn't read what I wrote.
I was more replying to the middle part of ur comment
do they really neeed 50 pages of people giving their in detailed 'feedback' for them to actually understand where they went wrong and to actually make an enjoyable event ???

As they said before they cant change crystals only milestones but what this feedback can do is next year actually make it better or hope it can as last year they took feedback to make it better but didnt turn out correctly as we finally here with yet again feedback.

Spy driven RNG, maybe if I watch a bunch of videos on how great Medusa is before opening another key I might have a chance
