- In-game chat translation. - Searchable champs for Deuling. - A reward system for leaders to reward players that participate consistently.
Leaders don't deserve extra rewards for what they do, don't be selfish. A good leader helps the entire alliance get and push for better rewards.
Can you read? They said a system for leaders to give some extra rewards to the consistent players
No matter what way yall try to spin it, anyone getting extra rewards over anyone else in the alliance is an absolutely terrible idea. If there's are leeches or people who do the bare minimum and skate by, then the solution is to kick that player and recruit better.
Monthly calendar itself is missing. I got the compensation for Day 1 10x10 supply drop, however I am missing Day 2 , Day 3 and maybe complete supply drop. Kindly help @KabamDORK
So It's been a month now with a new Community team in place here. So far it's been a blast coming back, but not without its challenges. There is still much to learn for myself and my team, so I just wanted to come out with it and ask. Where and how can we support you better, where are we falling short, and what would you like to see more of in the future?
Thanks everyone!
Community Suggestions - there is never any feedback on a suggestion, as in you never know if it’s been read, acknowledged, considered or just not thought of, and why.
I myself have raised a few of these in the past but have no idea as to what happened with the suggestions. If you are asking the community to engage by making recommendations / suggestions, then it would be good to reciprocate the time it takes to make a suggestion by feeding back to the person and letting them know what’s happening with their suggestion and why… it’s just basic etiquette. As it currently stands, it feels like a one-way street and it should be a collaborative effort.

Livestream Engagement - These are informative and good fun, most of the times but it’s very much one-way traffic. What I’d like to see more of, is the presenters engaging with the community during the livestream, as in acknowledging & discussing the community comments during the stream on matters that relate to /range from serious game issues, or community concerns on a particular piece of content etc-etc. I don’t see the point of being able to use the chat when none of what we say or ask is being addressed. The chat is generally just a place for people to spam it with childish requests for promo codes and it needs to rather be used for a two-way engagement with community members who would like to pose questions. Even if you take the most hotly contested topic from the previous livestream and just feedback on that point in the next stream, it helps to open that engagement between Kabam and the community and lets us (or me at least) feel like you guys do care about what we’re saying. Even a once per quarter stream which is specifically spent engaging with the community on their feedback, would be immensely welcomed. It feels like you guys are missing a trick here by not taking the opportunity to engage and build trust and accountability with the community.
Failing that, please just disable the chat until a window is opened to type in giveaway phrases, because this current theme of people constantly spamming the chat with childish things is beyond annoying.

Visual reworks and animation reworks are my top things.
I've been vocal about it in the past but I'd like to see older champions be themselves than the 2014 versions with their animations.
Take Hawkeye, Magik and Gamora as three examples who all have weapons in their kit, yet they never use them in combat outside of skill animations (particularly, lights, heavies and mediums)
Like Hawkeye could do bow strikes or close up/quick arrow shots instead of punching consistently, maybe he can use an arrow to strike the opponent? Gamora and Magik to use their swords when striking.
This isn't even something limited to them with Scarlet Witch OG and OG Storm also sharing this issue.
Personally I like feeling like I'm using the character I'm playing as so to see a character that I know has a quirk about them only to barely see it makes it such an annoyance to see them.
The same can *somewhat* also be said about Future Ant-Man with him being a character I am very happy is in the game, but his character and abilities are just straight up inaccurate.
You can keep the buffs and debuffs alongside the playstyle but visually he needs a rework in his specials and his L, M, H's.
It's fine to be busy. But you have to talk to the players every now and then, on whatever topic. Don't leave all communication on crashed shoulders.
Yeah,
Livestreams are honestly a massive failure in regards to how information is presented with the execution.
What livestreams feel like are people just talking at you in what could easily a stripped down/edited video to talk through the stuff people actually want to hear about compared to just nothing?
I'm not saying that is the only option, but if you want to keep Livestreams then do interact with the people watching, maybe have a preset idea of the topics you want to talk about then have flash card type things show up on screen once the thing is mentioned. Like when you talk about champions, nothing can be taken in since it's just talking and it's hard to concentrate on parts cause of it which makes the streams feel like a waste of time.
TL;DR Two routes to go, keep streams going but make them more interactive, understandable/accessible or make short stripped down vids full of information we can digest.

Something I've never thought about but also agree with.
If you ask the community to suggest, respond to the suggestion. The why's, the "never thought about it like this", etc.
Community suggestions tend to require communication to be a beneficial thing that exists cause otherwise it feels like a place for people to spend time conceptualising, etc. Just to be locked into a dusty cupboard to never acknowledge again.

The livestreams are just the most recent issues on the list. The real issue is that the forums have been left to their own devices and the majority of the communication across all platforms is dead. I don't care that they've been away. They deserve a break. But they could've communicated the fact that they'd be gone for over two weeks. They could've communicated the stream in advance. There's a lot they could do to better interact with the whole community. The community team practically disappeared for whole of December from top to bottom. The community lead has one comment each month in November and December and nothing else here. They simply are not prioritizing community engagement from top to bottom despite promises to do better. Things are actually worse than when this post was made, and that is incredibly discouraging.

I think this is super fair and not something we want to do, Crashed is an amazing contributor but we don't want to put all of anything on his shoulders. Banquet coming during the holiday season can be...tricky from a staffing perspective haha, but things should be a good bit more active here in the days and weeks ahead. Speaking for myself at least I know I will be around (still trying to get folks used to tagging me for stuff so its a work in progress lol xD )

This is super fair feedback. I can absolutely say we could have done more in terms of preparatory messaging for y'all to lay things out in terms of things being slower during that period etc, so thats on us to learn from and improve. The truth of the matter is that we had an incredibly busy December. Between the 10th anniversary livestream prep, banquet prep, and some other projects all trying to get done before the studio closed down for the holidays we definitely got swamped. Mike and I were both in person in Van for a good chunk of December and it is shockingly harder to be present on the forums when my boss can actually walk up and pull me into a meeting in person (Again props to Jax for managing that as well as he did in the past haha). Comedic explanation aside, I don't want to use that as an excuse and think on reflection we did not handle that period, communication wise, as well as we could have. Will absolutely own that and take it back to Mike and Dave to see how we can handle situations like this better in the future.
As for going forward, as I mentioned in my post prior to this the community presence on the forums will be much more active again now that I am safely cocooned in my home office with my too many monitors and not just my laptop screen. Want to make sure that we're continuously progressing so I appreciate the feedback and the critique when we come up short of that, hope you'll continue to hold us accountable (and hope eve more so that you wont need to)!

Honestly it was being a pain when I was trying right now and I want to make it easier not harder lol, so I just removed the space from my name, hopefully makes it easier!
Thank you @KabamPinwheel for coming in and addressing things. It is nice to see a presence show back up in the forums between you and crashed. And yes im sorry I do miss Jax and miike. Something to pick up from them is they did a very good job of staying engaged for the most part, especially Jax and that goes a long way in establishing a relationship with your customers.
