As lovely as those 10 units deals would be, it’s not relevant to most of us as we don’t have 50 t6cc of every class in overflow along with 30+ t4a.
Crashed said it wasn’t a perfect fix but those spenders don’t deserve to have purchased rewards that they can’t use because of in game limitations.
People are complaining about an equality issue but in all honesty, I’m not personally concerned I don’t get those deals when I only spent £40 which is hardly enough to keep the game alive.

Wasn’t a perfect fix I need the tiers 6b to i have tier 4 aplha in overflow but regardless it the same u go to a store buy to much of something u can’t refund what you still hav in. Literally. I spend 698 this banguet and cyber deal it did make me more concerned for future spending if whale get that big of an advantage. This whole year i spent close to to 5k dollars yes not a lot for them compared to to whale out there

Actually the problem is wider than a simple "its just whales". It actually breaks the balance of store item acquisition. As a middle spender or F2P, you end up spending currencies like Glory or Bg Trophies on a budget and accordingly to your current stash. This breaks that completely. Those whales should have to sacrifice currencies in order to actually save those T6CC from going to waste; but no they can keep on spending the ingame currencies as they please cause now an R2 or R3 will cost them just a few units.

True, they won’t have to spend the currencies like we will, but doesn’t this affect like 60 players max? Hardly breaking an economy?
So. Resource management isn’t a thing anymore? If you overspend and get stuff in overflow, that’s a you problem. The scariest part of this story for me is, the crystals were supposed to be even worse? If i get it right they were supposed to drop even more filler?

True its 60-100 players at most. I don't have a big issue with that. My issue is that now they have to cater to them because of the horrendous crystals they made. Didn't see them doing this on previous years? Why start now?

I think that was addressed in Crashed’s post though, that they didn’t anticipate the spend.
(Bet they’re pretty happy with it though, financial target smashed😅)
I do also appreciate that the t6b and t3a filler was taken out of the crystals and although lots complained about the t6cc, people would have been a lot worse with the t6b and t3a fillers.
The high percentage of T6CC drop rate made it a filler as well...

Hello. I'm working on a lengthy Banquet post-mortem for all of you, but I'm just going to go ahead and try to head this one off at the pass now.
The reason the Banquet crystal was unbalanced was 100% on me. Our Live Ops team produced a perfectly balanced tuning for the crystal in which this wouldn't have been a problem. In reviewing it, I counted all T6B/T3A drops as filler, and in an effort to reduce the amount of filler I moved some of those drops to other resources. For most players this wasn't a problem. I personally put up around 100,000 points and finished ~1500th, and for me the imbalance wasn't perceptible.
However in monitoring the event over the break, we realized players at the top were going to put up more points than we expected, and for them it was going to become a real problem. So we did something quick and dirty to help them correct the imbalance. If I could go back in time to before the event I would have thought of something else, but I'm pretty sure players wouldn't have liked the Banquet event more if it had included more T6B/T3A in the crystals.
I personally don't see this as a fairness problem, as I can tell you the difference between my account and these accounts has nothing to do with T6B/T3A. And I don't see it as these players getting to buy T6B/T3A for 10 Units, I see them as getting to buy T6B/T3A for 750,000 Units + 10 Units, which is what somebody had to spend to unlock this offer.
Or you could let those infinite t6cc expire, narrowing the gap between huge whales and the rest (those whales you're referring to are not after what's in the crystals, just the top rank rewards), keep equity in the game and fairness, topics you often bring up but fail to backup with actions. But hey, I don't know anything about game design.

Making stashes bigger would have been the only logical solution and let them deal with it after, you know with an update comming on Wednesday and all..
However people view of this matter is up for discussion.
One thing I do appreciate is that I'm very glad for @Kabam Crashed response (especially on a Saturday), it is clear, informative with accountability. I might not always agreed with all of Kabam Crashed perpective, but at least I can respect him for being upfront, forward and honest. It create a much better and healthier environment for constructive discussion.

Here you overspent. Let me hold your hand. Expand the inventory limits. Easy fix instead of slapping the rest of us in the face by offering to cater to the top spenders as usual. The more I see this catering the closer I get to hitting uninstall. I thought you weren’t trying to widen the gap between whales and non spenders. Another lie. My trust is shattered in this company and this game I’ve spent a decade playing. At this point I stick around for my alliance mates and friends only and you can expect I won’t drop another dime since my paltry spending doesn’t matter compared to your whales.

Do u really think there's equity and fairness in the game? In this game we're at a point where even if you're a medium spender you're still way closer to f2p players than to big spenders and there's no point in spending a bit of money, then they keep talking about keeping balance and we already got money offers with t7b while we still have EQ and SQ giving 0 t4a, circuit bg rewards being trash for so long, a part of the game that should reward skill but who cares about skill when you can just spend to get way more what you get by being skilled enough

It's not about if I think there's fairness or equity, it's just what Kabam has said, back when banquet launched about why banquet crystals were underwhelming. Their justifications just doesn't hold up to this new special offers. My issue is the constant contradiction between what's announced, the intentions behind it, and what's actually done and the consequences of it.

This is where the frustration exists if you follow this stuff. The PR messaging gets rolled out and then spun down the road as needed to explain some other action that contradicts other messaging. And on and on and on…
Unfortunately - it’s the times we live in and seemingly every government and corporation does the same thing. It’s maddening to come to a mobile game where you want to have some fun and turn off those frustrations in real life… only to see the same messaging spin being played on your here as well.
I am not looking forward to the post mortem post. Messaging around this event has been all over the place and there really isn’t a way to tie it all together logically. I kind of just hope the banquet ends altogether. If Kabam wants an end of the year big catch up event for lower accounts tied to a whale spending extravaganza, then just tailor a store event to that and quit talking about game balance, filler items, drop rates, etc.
But based on the spending on this event, I think we will find the same banquet setup next year amplified.
It s either give special benefits to big spenders, or great rank rewards. It has to be one or the other, reward the people with the bigger wallets but don't hand them the whole pie. As easy these people spend thousands on this game, next year they may find some other way to entertain themselves, but next, year, the majority of the middle and lower class spenders won't be there with this tactic to fill their monetary hole. It happened before irl hundreds of times.
This whole year i spent close to to 5k dollars yes not a lot for them compared to to whale out there
“it the same u go to a store buy to much of something u can’t refund what you still hav in”
This part here- doesn’t that also apply to you with your T4A in overflow?
I see other arguments that mega whales that have 50+ of each class T6C in overflow should have to deal with their problem rather than have Kabam try to fix it for them cheaply, why doesn’t the same logic apply to the goldfish that are complaining about not receiving similar perks to help with their T4A overflow problem?
For reference, I have 8 x T4A in overflow and I’m down to 6 of each T6B and T3A. How will I combat this? Glory store, BG store, Traders Outpost…
You can waste your energy crying about the benefits that the biggest whales get, or you can you just go about playing your own account.
I already over it. The thing here is there said there also need to find a balance but i suppose if one had that’s kind of money it hard to balance it slightly but bac to he’s point with he removed a lot of the tier 6b and tier 3 aplha would had make it slightly better getting 10 percent of a drop was just lame. But I over it i understand that’s not everything can be balanced because there always one we somehow have infinite of money or at least felt like it

This post I can get behind.
That slight tweak to the drop rate of T6B/T3A vs T6C may have made more of the population slightly more content- who knows. Even with that change I’m sure there would have been a multitude of complaints.
I can’t see how it’s at all possible to create a situation wherein 100% of the playerbase are genuinely happy with the banquet from the basis of rewards received.

There always be complaints but this one has a bigger complaint because how alot of people also struggle with them to. But because it a whale we has spent yea way to much get a offer it makes me not angry but what the point of me spending 400 to 800 one larger sales if offered get a VIP offer I get it something was need to be done but in all honesty there had time to find another way for it. Like raising the cap. For a few seconds yes it would work for everyone then locking it

To offer some constructive feedback, it seems you view this as a corrective action that balanced the Crystal as more basics should have become available as RNG. And this was a knee jerk reaction to keep the highest spenders happy.
But then why not make this available to all? I don’t feel that was adequately considered. If making this deal available to these extreme spenders doesn’t widen the gap then being inclusive wouldn’t either.
Good luck on the rationalization post. I can only say that this “grand banquet” was a grand let down.

Those whales should have to sacrifice currencies in order to actually save those T6CC from going to waste; but no they can keep on spending the ingame currencies as they please cause now an R2 or R3 will cost them just a few units.
If you overspend and get stuff in overflow, that’s a you problem.
The scariest part of this story for me is, the crystals were supposed to be even worse? If i get it right they were supposed to drop even more filler?
I don't have a big issue with that. My issue is that now they have to cater to them because of the horrendous crystals they made. Didn't see them doing this on previous years? Why start now?
(Bet they’re pretty happy with it though, financial target smashed😅)
I do also appreciate that the t6b and t3a filler was taken out of the crystals and although lots complained about the t6cc, people would have been a lot worse with the t6b and t3a fillers.
Anyway back to the fighting, have at them 🤣
