What’s the deal with Jessica Jones slow progression?

So I recently got a 6* Jessica Jones and I’ve wanted her for a while. But boy have her numbers been slow to go up. I currently have her at the max of R4 and she’s still under 15000. I’ve been working on getting her to R5 to see if there is a jump there (I need only an R5 Science Catalyst and an R3 Alpha to get there). She isn’t duped but that doesn’t seem essential to the character (correct me if I’m wrong).

Am I making a mistake putting those resources in her right now? I have an R4 Nefaria who is duped and I’m just staring to figure out how valuable he is but I love the character of Jessica Jones, she’s fun to play (although Nefaria is too) and she’s tough to fight as a defender.

Any feedback?

    That’s my main intention for her. I still get my butt kicked in Battlegrounds most of the time although I’m getting better.

    How much do you think she benefits from the signature ability?

    It increases her power gain by 25% for SP1s when she's ramped. The other stuff is cross-fight so not relevant for BG.
    I think you can use her just fine as a defender without duping her.
    But the dupe and max sig isn't totally irrelevant to BG defense either, so I think do it if you can afford it, but don't worry about it if you can't.

    Almost no one uses her in Battlegrounds. I have great dominant Defenders in BG but they’re not that uncommon and a lot of experienced players know how to counter them so they’re becoming less and less useful to me. As I add more 7*s I’ve been able to still hang in there but I was thinking about the Defenders I have trouble with in quests that I never see in BGs and I was thinking that they might be useful against players who know the formula for the top tier defenders who they have a lot of experience with.

    Sounds like you could use an Electro in your deck.

    After some ramp she gets the annoying mechanics during her specials as well. Most meta skill champs can deal her, problem is, there after really many meta skill attackrrs lol.

    Really? I started playing the game last year after not playing in at least 5 years and I discounted Electro as an out of date character. I was wondering why I pulled him twice from a Featured Hero Crystal. I didn’t assume he was worthy of being “featured”. But you’re saying I shouldn’t discount him like that and should rank him up?

    Besides BG is he good for questing?

    Not really. She gains 2 Investigations when you gain a bar of power, 1 investigation when she Debuffs you, and then 1 investigation every 4 seconds while you're above 2 Bars of Power. At 7 Investigations, she goes unstoppable every time she throws a special. At 10 investigations, they become permanent.

    Yeah, I agree, the relative lack of Skill attackers in BG right now helps her be a good defender for the moment.
    Now, there are some non-Skill attackers that can walk right through her, but I've invested too much in my Jessica to just spill those beans, lol.

    He reflects like 40% of the damage he receives from contact attacks. Think Homer Simpson vs. Mike Tyson.

    I just don't find her reliable because it’s impossible for you to change or control what object she throws with her SP1. Like, sometimes, I need it to be the pizza, not the fire hydrant, or the propane tank. The kitchen sink is awesome obviously, but relying on RNG during my specials is too much for me.

    Okay, I finally got those last two catalysts and got her to R5 and had enough resources to level her to max right away. Not sure if I’ll swap the relic or not, open to suggestions. But it’s true, her health numbers and combat numbers are huge compared to her rating number. Looking forward to playing her now.

    The only science heroes who (by the rating numbers) are higher now are my 7*R2 duped Ham, 6*R5 nojAscended Punk, 7*R1 duped Photon, 6*R4 duped Photon, and 6*R4 Nefaria just jumped ahead of her by the numbers because I just added 8 stones to her signature ability.

    Originally I was just disappointed with that top rating number because 14900 is really low for a R4 champ. But I really didn’t look at the other numbers.

    Well, the thing is if it's fun (the character) then why not focus more on them? This is a game and we obviously wanna have fun. If your fav character is a good, meta, reliable, proven then you're basically lucky. In your case I think you're lucky

    She’s great for offense against nodes or champs that gain a lot of power. Easily gets to 10 investigations and they get 10 weaknesses when using specials (while you get unstoppable and resistance) so you don’t have to worry about difficult specials.

    I have her as 6 stars too.
    But choosed to rank Hulk R5 before
