Because her and quake in current state is op because magik can keep them power locked hesl from limbo and gain power even if they have 0 bars if sp2 is used before they hit a bar which is op as hell
Facing magic in arena is still annoying her healing the damage with limbo is annoying but her limbo damage is the real problem cause it’s really high. Now imagine facing her in bags taking unavoidable damage and taking longer to defeat cause of limbo healing.

Yeah even quake dose unavoidable damage if she throws a heavy. Also stuns of our luck is bad.

Ah yes, because such abilities *totally* don't exist in champions released nowadays, way stronger too.
Kabams fear of Quake makes sense. It does not with Magik.
Idk at this point there are champs immune to concussion or disables evade (ignores quakes evade) and champs immune to power manipulation (ignoring Magiks control) so I think it’s wouldn’t break the game. IMO Serpent is more broken than either of these champs, ignore death, unblockable and undexable (not a word but you get it)

Even if quakes concussions are not showing she evades (bugged part of the kit) also it still shuts down the top defenders like onslaught bullseye enchantress and arcade theres still so much quake counters of meta defenders now since they dont have full anti evade stopping unless on a true strike node

It does when she always has limbo imagine always getting limbo vs a serpent who probs could take him with full health yes its a problem

There could be removes the power steal and how it works for magic at this point i wouldn’t even be mad if there did

Id be ok with power steal being removed from her as thats the part really that makes her crazy strong
Idk how magik is remotely insane there are many Defenders who she can't work. We have champs like pun99 who can nuke opponent before they launch a single special and he isn't op. Her defensive abilities suck but there are many champs who can counter her.

Thats because he doesnt have stuff like magik who can power steal power lock and keep limbo up basically most of the fight and she still would take meta fights because her power steal gives her back how much they lose which is about 0.7 or 0.9 and btw if she steals that and they at 0 she can still steal same amount its what makes her broken is they can stay power locked and have limbo ticks healing her

Which champions that have been released in the last few years can permanently power lock the opponent and steal power from them even if they're at 0?

The question is not whether there are other champs that *appear* to have similar abilities. Kabam doesn’t nerf or withhold champs from higher rarities because of what they think the champ can do. They look at gameplay data to see what actual players are actually doing in actual content, across all progression tiers, across all skill levels, across all content. If any champ looked like Magik in terms of what actual players actually do with the champ, they’d be similarly withheld (or more likely nerfed).
It is not about what a champ *can* do. It is about what the champ actually is doing that matters. When Stark Spidey came out, people wondered why the devs allowed a champ with such high damage (for its time) into the game. And I’m pretty sure the reason why is that in actual play, most players were not actually achieving that level of damage, and contrary to the usual rhetoric the actual skill level required to play him at the time was uncommon and thus lots of players were not just not benefiting from his damage but were actually dying trying to utilize him, making his true effectiveness in the game far lower than most public discussions of him claimed.
That’s why Hercules is so problematic: he trivializes so much content across so much of the playerbase. When people talk about power control and Magik, they talk about champs most players could never play as efficiently and as easily as Magik. It is not just about what Magik can do. It is about the skill threshold required to accomplish that. MSD beating an Abyss fight with 2* G2099 doesn’t mean G2099 is overpowered. But if I could do the same thing, G2099 would be nerfed tomorrow.
They both have unavoidable DOT. That's why they are not available as a 6*. Imagine 7* Magic and her limbo damage. No one is immune to that
there's lot of champs with high energy resist or ability accuracy reduction that can deal with limbo. not so much before, which is why blade so good at the time.
It's not just the Limbo. It's the whole package. She's also capable of a Power loop that can prevent the Opponent from ever using a Special.
Debuffs shruggers. Power control immune champions. Debuff Immunity giving nodes.
You could say the same thing about Quake, or Herc, or every champ that’s ever been nerfed. The problem is if you allowed all of them to remain, that list gets very long and eventually all future content has to have a gigantic list of defusing abilities for all troublesome champs, which is ridiculous.
It is a kind of game design symmetry to say that every nerf has a contrapositive buff and vice versa. You can nerf a champ or you can buff everything else. You can change a troublesome champ or you can change everything else around it to neutralize its troublesome aspects. You can withhold a champ, or make sure it can’t use its strengths in the game. Problematic champs aren’t champs that can beat everything. They just have to beat enough easily enough that the devs have to spend the rest of the games’ existence constantly worried about them. At that point, you neutralize the source of the problem, you don’t invent hundreds of design rules to accommodate the problems you chose to ignore.

Its like the dulled node they created was mainly to prevent scarlet witch we dont see it now as dont need it but was there to stop a problematic champ.
There are nearly 300 champs in this game now and people are still crowing about 2 champs from 2015 and 2016. It's time to let them go guys.
You want to let THIS go?
People don't want them released as higher rarities because they are cool characters, they want them because they want to cheese content with them again like they did back in the day (I appreciate quaking requires skill but it's still a cheese). We'll have the same requests with herc in a few years.
Kabam has determined that they are too op to be released. If they want to redesign them for a 7* release then that would be awesome, but you'd still have plenty of people unhappy that they were "nerfed" as they won't be as they were.

Well that's not black and white true.
I want her as a 6/7 because she IS an awesome character with a cool design, and for that to be locked at a point that she's basically not even in the game.

In a world of 7r3 champs (climbing toward 7r4) what does an ascended 6r5 Magik really trivialize?
It can’t be lane content in story mode, because that has already been scaled. It can’t be major bosses, because they have built-in immunities.
Even for individual matchups, there are so many skill champs with ability reduction, heal blockers, and science champs that it’s not a war or BG issue.
quake 6 star is too broken but people are giving magik too much credit . She is good but not so good that a 6 star cant be released . We literally got champs like hercules as 6 star but apparently magik is too much . Also using magik requires intercept which the ai is slowly getting immune to

It wasnt just acts it was special events wars if u forgotten they literally made true sense to prevent quake but instead made way for kitty to trivalise war bosses so yes theres still something to be afraid of if u dont see that then u need to really think as lots would agree they still do same with herc because his immortality pause on hits (dont say but sp3 removes it) no that dont count he is the ultimate cheese of fights
